Fetish Sex Stool Review

Fetish Sex Stool
The stool

The Fetish Sex Stool is a Pipedream Products item that is intended to make it easier to have sex. In essence, it’s basically a piece of sex furniture. It does require some assembly to use, and it basically is pieces of metal and two large pieces of plastic. It’s about two feet across (the length of the connecting plastic) and about a foot tall. Each strap is about five inches in width and there are two straps that connect the pieces of metal together. The stool’s maximum weight limit is 300 pounds.

The packaging for this is pretty basic. It just comes in a large, skinny box. Like, the box is really tall, but it’s also amazingly skinny – just like two inches in width. It will come in a relatively large packaging box though since it is so tall. The box is a typical Pipedream box which does include pictures of two underwear-clothed models showing the different ways the product can be used. While I normally would consider this annoying, I liked the packaging in this instance since it’s basically your “position guide”. Along with that, the backside of the box includes instructions for assembly.

Setting this stool up is actually really easy. It comes with four metal pieces and two large straps of plastic. There are pictures on the back of the box that make it extra-easy, but the boyfriend had no problem doing it without the pictures. There are two metal pieces that work as the base while the other two just connect the “bases”. Within that, you just slip the loops of firm plastic onto the metal while you connect it. That’s it. Extremely easy and done within three minutes. It’d be possible to pull it apart for storage, but it’s a bit annoying and can be frustrating, so we’re just leaving ours in one piece.

So, to be completely honest, I’m one of those people that, if the sex product is large in size, it has to have a double-use. It just *has* to. I’m all for letting things take up space in my apartment, but they have to do something other than just work for sex. Our Liberator sex shapes usually work as back support or extra seating when friends are over. Sometimes they work as a table. So with this fetish sex stool, I was hoping to use it in the shower as a shower stool to make it easier to shave my legs. (I hate baths. They make my skin pruny. Icky.) Since I noticed that the bottom of each of the legs has the little rubber stopper, I’d imagine it’d work great for that purpose.

Size of the stool (And yummy hips)

So what do I think of this? Well, both the boyfriend and I tried this out just to get a good grip on how it works. Unfortunately, it just doesn’t work well. It worked better for the boyfriend because he was of a lighter weight, but for me, it was just ridiculously uncomfortable. That’s probably my biggest complaint. But the problem is that I have a hard time considering an alternative for the uncomfortableness. After all, the uncomfortableness is the plastic and size – and the plastic, while it could be replaced, but with what? Leather? Too hard to clean? Fabric maybe? Not so great for messy play. The size – not everything is going to be one-size, and making it bigger for my use would have made it too big for others, so it’s a lose-lose there.

You see, the stool’s height is relatively comfortable. Most people squat down at approximately the same height, so it doesn’t hurt your knees at all. In fact, it makes it more comfortable to squat down. Unfortunately, while you’re doing your squatting, the plastic will cut into your skin (and if you have any fat on your thighs will make them look unattractive which is not something I want during sex.) The boyfriend says that sitting the opposite way (with your legs hanging over one of the metal bars of the stool) is even more uncomfortable because then the metal bars hold a good chunk of your weight while the plastic strips just provide support. That’s just for my 150-pound boyfriend. For my 290 pound self, it’s twenty times worse.

For one, I’m sure we all can assume that someone who is a hundred pounds heavier has larger hips and a larger ass. Well, this stool did not. While it may support the 300 pounds of weight, it does not do it in any way that will make you want to sit back down on the stool ever again. The metal bars are too close together to sit parallel with the bars, and they’re too close together to sit perpendicular to the bars as well. Once you’re sitting, your (or my, in this case) butt will be mostly supported by the metal bars which – as you can guess – is downright painful to “bounce” up and down on.

Is this a breaking point? No. If you are of a lightweight, it’s uncomfortable, but still usable enough for its purpose. While it does support up to 300 pounds, it’s not comfortable enough for use once you start getting over 200 pounds. For this reason, unless you are a plus-sized woman whose weight is mostly on top, you may want to avoid this one.

Some of the uses of this stool also will depend on how large the non-using partner is. For example, the main “selling point” of this stool is the fact that it can be used to alleviate knee pain in a woman-on-top position. The stool is meant to go overtop of the male’s hips and align the female (on top) partner on top of the penis of the male underneath. Because of the height, you’ll get very shallow penetration – we weren’t able to get more than three inches. Along with this, if your guy is a bigger guy, it’s quite possible that the stool won’t be long enough to actually fit over his hips which makes it unusable for that. Also, if you are a plus-sized woman in that position, your ass probably isn’t resting on the plastic pieces like assumed – instead, it’s resting on the metal bars. The plastic pieces allow you to “sink” to meet your partner while the metal won’t, so you won’t be able to sink down low enough to experience much of penetration (or bounce once there.)

Sex positions on this one (taken straight from the box) are using it as a body support for doggy style sex. It is of the perfect height for that but so is my couch. Another includes lying back on the stool to give your partner the perfect height for oral sex. However, the lying partner’s head will hang off the end of the stool and will get lightheaded, but it’s fun for a bit.

Non-sex uses for this stool include watersports and scat use. Since the plastic wipes clean easily and the plastic includes a hole between the two pieces of plastic, it works just fine for this. For “kinky” sex use, this stool also works as a “queening” stool to help alleviate weight on the giving guy’s face.

So what other more useful uses have we found for the Fetish Sex Stool? Well, it works great as a ball. Because the legs are slightly rounded, you can roll it on the floor. It also works like a really-crappy shield during a Nerf gun war. You could also use it as the worst snow sled ever made.

One of my other biggest complaints is the price. I really hate bringing up price when it comes to items – just because my budget is not your budget, but I feel like it’s important for this one just because it really is so expensive. It just is way too expensive for what you receive if you are trying this for recreational reasons – just to try out new positions. While it does hold during penetration, the legs of the stool bend when even my tiny boyfriend sits on it, and it just doesn’t seem like it’s going to hold for that long. It just feels really …unimpressive for what I received.  However, if you have a specific purpose like pain in your knees or for messy play, it does seem to be more worth the price.

Because the stool is made from metal and plastic, cleaning it just requires wiping down the surface of the plastic and metal. It can be stored under the bed or in a closet.

What is the final verdict? It seems a bit expensive, and there’s really no way it will work for us. We just have pieces of furniture lying around the house that work much better. I’d recommend against it if you are purchasing it for just-for-fun use, but if you have an idea in mind (messy play or possibly a hurt knee), it may work better for you. I also would only recommend this stool for both partners being of average body weight – plus-size males/females are not going to be as satisfied with this one.
