Budding Bliss Review

Budding Bliss
The packaging

The Budding Bliss is a gorgeous rabbit vibrator that stands out from its competition in the way that its designed. It’s sold by SheVibe. This vibrator is made from silicone, a body-safe material, and instead of having the unsightly see-through material and awkward beads, this one has a completely flat silicone shaft and a gorgeous little rose design sticking out on the end of the clitoral piece. This rabbit vibrator ends up doing a vibrating and rotating motion which are both controlled by controls at the bottom of the rabbit. It’s made in Japan and seems to be a high-quality toy. It’s over eight inches in total length with a shaft diameter of an inch and a half at the widest point near the base. However, up towards the tip of the shaft, it only has a diameter of less than an inch.

The packaging is really basic and pretty. It has Japanese-looking designs all over the packaging with a see-through plastic box that allows you to see the sex toy inside. Vibratex makes this vibrator and their name is stuck in places around the packaging. The instructions for the vibrator are actually in the little red piece of cardboard that wraps around the plastic box at the base – it’s a pain to pull out, but it provides all of the information about the toy.

The Budding Bliss uses four AAA batteries which aren’t included. The bottom of the base of the Budding Bliss turns off and allows you to slide the battery tray (which holds your four batteries) right into the bottom of the rabbit. It’s extremely easy to get the batteries in, and from what I can tell, the rabbit doesn’t eat batteries too quickly. The compartment has a rubber seal that should make it waterproof, but I haven’t actually tested that out. During cleaning, it cleaned up just fine without water damage, so this is definitely splash proof.

Once the batteries are in, the vibrations and the rotation are controlled by two different dials on the bottom of the base. This is a different type of control than I’m normally used to since it really does use dials. The dials were relatively easy to use, but it did take a bit of getting used to since it requires an odd angle to change the settings. The dials don’t really have “specific” settings – they just gradually get stronger. The dials click on with a distinct sound that takes a bit of pressure, so it won’t turn on without someone there to turn it on. The top dial controls the rotation of the head, and the bottom dial controls the vibrations of the clitoral piece.

The material of the toy is so silky smooth. It honestly reminds me of the LELO silicone. It’s very soft to the touch and provides no drag when running your fingers over the surface. There’s really no texture at all to the entire toy’s shaft, but there is a bit of a texture on the clitoral portion on the rose. Overall, the silicone just feels amazing on my fingers, and I just want to stroke the vibrator. It’s so soft. It doesn’t provide much drag during use, but it does end up absorbing a bit of lubricant, so use a bit extra.

The rotation of the shaft just rotates at the very tip of the shaft. Even when inserted, the rotation is strong enough, even on the lowest setting, to continue to rotate during use. The rotation seems to be most pleasurable when barely inserted, but it does continue to be pleasurable when fully inserted. It doesn’t seem to really hit the g-spot at all during its rotation though even though it does feel nice.

The clitoral portion has an interesting texture. When the vibration is turned on on the clitoral piece, the toy does let off a high-pitched whine which is slightly annoying. The vibrations are definitely strongest when the toy is lightly rested against you – they seem to become a lot softer if you attempt to use pressure. I’d imagine this is because the rose petals move around while the toy is vibrating but stay still when you use pressure. I think the vibrations are relatively strong enough – some women will have no problem with the strength of these vibrations while others are going to find these to be just a tease. Either way, the rose on the end of the clitoral portion does just look really gorgeous.

The toy is a bit on the loud side though for a vibrator. It’s pretty soft when you consider that it’s a rabbit vibrator, but for a regular toy, it’s a bit loud. This could probably be heard through a closed door unless music or some other noise was playing.

Cleaning is really easy. The entire toy is pure silicone, so you just have to wipe it down with warm water and antibacterial soap. I’m a bit concerned since this toy is pure white though since I’m sure it will stain easily. For that reason, I’d make sure you clean the toy fully after each use to avoid getting stains or discoloration. The silicone on this rabbit doesn’t seem to pick up any sort of lint or dust, so there’s really no reason to be careful about storage. I’m currently keep this toy in the original packaging, but it should work most any place you want to store it. Since this is a silicone-based toy, I’d only recommend using water-based lube with it.

The Budding Bliss is a great toy for anyone who is looking for their first rabbit or just an upgrade on some of the badly-made rabbit vibrators out there. It seems to be made from high-quality materials and looks like it’s going to last a long time. It’s gorgeous, easy to clean, and works a lot better than most of the other rabbits I’ve tried. I’m not in love with it, but I definitely do like it. I’m just a bit concerned about the white material of the toy – that’s it. This sex toy store carries this vibrator, so pick up the Budding Bliss if it interests you.
