The Fun Factory Flexi Felix is an adorable strand of anal beads, sold by Fantasy Gifts, that is shaped like a little caterpillar. (I sometimes wonder what Fun Factory employees do to come up with these things.) The Flexi Felix made from a nice, soft silicone and runs a full foot long. As you can see, his little face is the handle-hold of the entire bead strand, and where you slip your two fingers into him to keep a grasp happens to be his poor eyes. He even has a little smile on his face while you pulverize his eyes. Poor guy.
The packaging is typical Fun Factory packaging. It has the yellow box with the red highlights all over it, and if you want to see the toy in more detail, you can open a back-flap (that’s closed magnetically) to peer at the beads. Included is a little book advertising Fun Factory products, a small instruction guide, and a sample of Bodyfluid lubricant. The beads come packaged in a form-fitting plastic that comes out of the box.
The beads themselves are actually relatively flexible. Since they’re made of silicone, you wouldn’t imagine that they would be, but they are. Each individual bead definitely has some feel to it, but in the silicone parts that connect, the beads have enough flexibility to definitely provide some good flexibility and comfort during use. The outer handle with the caterpillar’s face is definitely large enough during use, and neither of us were concerned that it was going to go inside and cause a problem.
Something of interest to note is that the beads do get larger the farther up you go along the anal bead chain. There are five beads in total with each bead being about an inch long in length. At the biggest diameter, the biggest bead is only an inch in diameter which is virtually the same thing as using two fingers. This having been said, this means that the Flexi Felix is actually a good choice for anal beginners because the bead sizes aren’t all that large, and the graduated sizes allows you to only go as large as you want to go without having to go any larger. I’d honestly say that most beginners will be able to take all five beads without any problem though.
So how was it putting in the beads? Pretty darned easy. Like I said, while the silicone pieces that connect the beads are pretty flexible, the beads themselves are made from pure, full silicone which makes them easy to place and easy to push in. After all five was in, it was a little awkward to see the boyfriend with a catepillar head sticking out of dark places, but he said it felt good. He also said it was quite comfortable. According to the packaging, these are ergonomic beads, and I guess it must have worked because Jor was quite comfortable wearing these. Taking them out was actually just as comfortable. Just with any type of anal beads though, prepare for a slight bit of mess stuck to the beads unless you’ve properly prepared yourself beforehand. It’s nothing problematic and is extremely easy to clean up.
Because the Flexi Felix is made from high quality silicone instead of low quality string and plastic, it’s actually extremely easy to clean, and there’s really no place that bacteria can hide. To clean it, warm water and antibacterial soap will work great, but if you want to sterilize it, you can just throw it in a pot of boiling water for a couple minutes which makes things even more easy. Because this is silicone, though, only use water-based lubricant with it to avoid damaging your cute little caterpillar. For storage, I’m keeping mine in the original box, but it’s a little bit of a pain, so if you have a storage bag (or even a plastic baggie) you can choose to keep it in there instead.
In the end, we were extremely fond of these anal beads. They’re adorably cute which almost makes us feel bad for using them, but at the same time, they actually do exactly what they’re supposed to – go in easily and be pleasurable. They’re flexible enough that you can easily move with them in, and they just feel nice – even for advanced or anal beginners.
