The Extreme Compliance Kit is something I’ve been lusting after for awhile now. Who doesn’t want a really neat gag that also can function as a dildo, brush, and other embarrassing things? The gag itself seemed pretty impressive, and since it was made by Pipedream Toys as a part of their Fetish Fantasy series, I knew what to expect from it as well – something that doesn’t break my budget but still performs exactly what it promises to do.
The Extreme Compliance Kit is a detachable ball gag system. Basically, the gag itself is its own piece. It can be worn without any of the attachments. However, the kit includes different attachments including a bowl, a leash, a bristle brush, a dildo, and a toilet cleaner brush. As an added bonus, the company also decided to include a blindfold. What makes the most sense is to cover each individual piece then the kit as a whole.
First off, it all comes in a large cardboard box as you could see at Fascinations. It’s actually one of the bigger BDSM boxes that I own. Around the box, there’s pictures of a scantily clad man and woman using the gag and the different attachments on one another. For storage, the set can be easily put back into the box – but do remember that this box doesn’t look discreet in the slightest.
The ball gag itself is probably the most basic piece of the entire kit. The main piece is a piece of firm plastic surrounded by a soft, padded layer of nylon to make it comfortable against the face. The main piece is slightly curved to make it comfortable against the face as well. On the inside of this curve is a rubber ball that smells slightly of rubber but doesn’t seem to taste of rubber. The ball itself is around an 1 3/4 in diameter which is pretty freakin’ huge for a ball gag. I’m not exactly sure who tests these gags for them, but it’s amazing how large companies keep making them. I have yet to play with a submissive who can take more than 1.5 inches – and that’s usually pretty painful for them. However, most submissives I play with are usually newer to gags, so if you have experience with gags (or a large mouth) which will most likely work okay for you.
Aside from the ball gag itself, it has two straps on either side of the piece of plastic that will function as a strap to keep it on your partner’s head. Instead of a regular buckling mechanism, there are two d-rings on the end of one side of the nylon. You pull it through one of the d-rings then back out the other, then it stays. That means that there is no way to actively lock the gag onto your partner’s face (although I honestly would never recommend that anyway) A small complaint: One of the nylon straps is longer than the other, so the clasp will end up on one side of the head – not in the center. However, the gag also seems to come with an extension of the regular nylon, so this is easily adjustable to a multitude of different-sized heads. I honestly can’t see this not fitting a single person because of how small and how large it can adjust to.
The actual attaching portion of the gag is on the front. It looks like a little metal contraption at the front of the plastic piece. This is where all of the attachments are attached. It took us forever to figure out how to use it since there weren’t any instructions, so I’ll save you the time. You pull down the metal piece on the outside of the gag’s metal piece, and you insert the attachment you want to use and push down until you hear a soft “click”. Then you release the metal piece. That keeps it in place. To release, you just pull down the metal piece again and it will let the attachment go.
It’s actually amazing how well the attachments stay attached. There is no way that this attachment will come off – period. It’s more likely that you will break the nylon straps holding the gag on before the attachments will come undone. It would be possible to change the attachment while your partner is wearing it, but due to the pressure I end up putting on the attachment while attaching it, I’d recommend putting it on beforehand or just being careful while attaching it.
The toilet brush attachment is just that. It’s just a regular toilet brush. It actually makes me giggle because, as much of a sadist as I am, I’m never going to make a submissive put their face in a toilet – ever. I honestly can not even imagine what would make me do that to a poor person. Unlike the cover of the box, my toilet brush was only pure white – not white and yellow. It has about three inches, in length, with bristles and about three inches between the attachment piece and the bristles. It feels exactly like the other bristle brushes I have feel, so it is just a toilet brush attached to a gag.
The little red dish makes me smile. In the picture, it shows the dish being used as an ashtray, but since I don’t smoke, I’d much rather use it for a subbie to hold my snacks and sit there like a plate. My bowl is also red like the picture. The bowl is made from plastic, and thus, with a lot of pressure while attempting to attach it to the gag, if you aren’t careful, it could be cracked. However, it’s pretty hardy plastic, and this is the attachment we did our attaching experiments on – and it’s still fine for us. The bowl is about two inches deep and has a diameter of about three inches.
The dildo is slightly disappointing. I was expecting something a little higher quality, but I think I’ve honestly gotten spoiled to silicone dildos. This dildo is a six inch long plastic, black dildo. It’s extremely textured with a pronounced head and TONS of veins on the body of the dildo. It doesn’t have any sort of curve to it, so it’s actually a bit more comfortable to be able to control with the face. It has a diameter of about an inch and a half, and it attaches firmly to the gag itself. It does have some give to it, so it’s not completely firm.
The leash is pretty basic. It’s a regular chain leash that just as an attachment piece on the end. In fact, you can actually use the clip and undo the leash from the attachment piece. In my mind, that’s bad design since this means your submissive can easily undo themselves, but I support it can also be thought of as a tease since they’ll be punished if they do undo themselves. The leash itself is made from chain, and the handle is made from some slightly soft leather. The handle is my bigger complaint since it actually is pretty small to have an entire hand fit into the actual handle itself, but you can fit your fingers – minus the thumb – into the handle without much of a problem. The entire leash measures about two feet long, and be careful with tugging around your partner by the mouth.
The last attachment, the soft bristle brush, is just an attachment with some soft bristles on it. It has about three inches of bristles, and honestly, they’re pretty soft. I actually enjoy the feel of them, and I can imagine that this could be used to tickle another person. If you want to use them for the intended use, I’m sure you could find something for your partner to dust as well. However, if your partner has allergies, I’d avoid using it for dusting. The bristles seem firmly stuck in, and it doesn’t look like any of them have fallen out the entire time that I’ve owned it.
The blindfold is just a regular blindfold. It blocks out the light okay, and it actually feels pretty comfortable around the head. The blindfold being included in the set could actually lead to lots of other types of fun play since you could blindfold your submissive while they are led somewhere, or you could blindfold them while they sit with the dish in their mouth with treats. Creativity is your limit.
The attachments and the gag itself work pretty amazingly. They make for a great kit that actually will allow for you to turn a regular ball gag into a sensual, power-exchange activity that will leave the wearer feeling even more submissive. Honestly, I want to buy two of these, find another submissive, and have both of them strap this on with the dildo attachment, and make them play some sort of game by hitting a ball across the floor. THAT would amuse me.
This Extreme Compliance Kit works well together. My only big complaint is the size of the ball gag, and with some modifications, it’s easy to switch out the bigger ball with a smaller one. I just wish some companies would start considering that not all wearers are full-size males. Some are females and some are smaller males. However, if you have experience with ball gags or would be willing to switch out the gag (whiffle ball, rubber ball, plastic ball, silicone ball, doggy toy, etc.), I fully recommend this. Even by typing up this review, I have tons of fun ideas in mind now.
