Based off of a standard Wartenburg Pinwheel, the Five Head Wartenburg Pinwheel from UberKinky takes things to the next level. Made from stainless steel, the handle is attached to five individual wheels (each wheel can move on its own and doesn’t require moving with the other four wheels). The handle has no texturing on it, and the points of the Wartenburg Wheels are quite sharp. This BDSM sensation toy is 6.1″ in length with a width of 1.18″ at the wheels.
This small pinwheel doesn’t come in very particular packaging. Like all UberKinky packages, it will come in a discreet package to your door. The Five Head Wartenberg Pinwheel is contained in a small, flexible plastic slipcover that protects the Pinwheel. This case will not protect your foot from pain should you step on the Wheel, but it is thick enough to protect you from getting accidentally poked if you were digging around in a drawer that had this Pinwheel in it.
This Pinwheel was designed to be effective, and it’s good at that! All of the pins are surprisingly pointy, and if you aren’t careful, you could do more damage than you intended. A very, very light touch will get the general “shiver sensation” across without much issue. Once you start adding pressure, you may start to move towards a more pain-inducing type of sensation. This BDSM toy can definitely draw blood if you press down with quite a bit of pressure. For this reason, I recommend you always start with the lightest touch and gently work your way up as you find out exactly how much your partner would like. The rolling mechanism on the Five Head Wartenburg Pinwheel works flawlessly as well. I was a bit worried about squeaking, but it has none. It rolls very smoothly across the skin without any squeaking. None of the wheels got stuck either. It feels high-quality and it behaves like a high-quality toy too.
The awesome thing about this Five Head Wartenburg Pinwheel is that it’s as effective as you want to make it. Because the wheels are so sharp, you have a large variance in how you can use the tool. If you’re using this on someone else, I recommend that you try it out on your own skin for a bit. You’d be surprised by how much more sensation it puts out than it looks like it would. It looks a bit harmless, but rolling it over your skin will quickly change your mind.
If you already own regular Wartenburg Pinwheels, should you upgrade? It really depends. This definitely provides the same type of sensation as your other Pinwheel – only FIVE TIMES the sensation, so it’s much, much more intense. If you love the sensation of the regular, one-wheel Wartenbrug Wheel, you’re going to enjoy the sensation multiplied. It’s worth an upgrade if you already love the Wartenburg Wheel. If you’re lukewarm on the sensation of the Wartenburg Wheel, you may not find a reason to want to upgrade.
I’m not sure if this will change over time, but even with super-duper light use, this advanced BDSM pinwheel leaves marks on the skin. They are like little pink dots on the skin. They are much more noticeable if you press down with pressure, but even with very light usage, you’ll still leave a bit of a trail on the skin. Since there are five wheels, it’ll leave five identical tracks of lines along the skin. In case you planned on using this in publically-visible areas, make sure to try out a test area first to see if it does it to your skin as well! It might just be because the sharps are extremely sharp still, and they will dull with time and use.
My only slight complaint is that the handle of this Five Head Wartenburg Pinwheel is entirely smooth. While it doesn’t seem like this would be a big deal, it means that it’s just a smooth piece of stainless steel. If your hand is sweaty or covered in bodily fluids, you might have a hard time keeping a really good grip on the toy. While this isn’t dangerous, it would be annoying if you ended up dropping it.
As this toy is made entirely of metal, it’s really easy to keep clean. A quick bath in warm water and antibacterial soap will do a standard cleaning while boiling water will allow you to sterilize it. Because the Five Head Wartenberg Pinwheel is quite pokey, please don’t let it where anyone could actually poke themselves. (Such as in a bowl of soapy solution near the sink) For storage, just ensure that it’s entirely dry. Metal like this could oxidize if you don’t let everything dry fully before placing it in storage. For storing, the original bag that the sex toy comes in works fantastically. It’s a thick enough plastic to keep the pokey tips from breaking through and harming someone.
Overall, this is an extremely high-quality BDSM toy. The Five Head Wartenburg Pinwheel should last you quite a bit of time, and with the sharpness of the points, it really gives you quite a bit of flexibility in how intensely you want to use it. If you enjoy a regular Wartenburg Pinwheel, I imagine that you’re going to find this one to be an enjoyable experience as well – and it feels so much more intense!
