The Key by Jopen Ceres Original is a silicone vibrator made by Jopen as part of their “Key” line. This particular vibrator is the “Original” one out of the line, but if you like this shape and just want some texture added, check out others in the Jopen Key line. The Ceres Original Vibrator is waterproof and uses two AA batteries. It features a one-year warranty as well as 7 different vibration settings.

The packaging for this purple luxury vibrator is pretty nice. This vibrator comes in a cardboard-type of packaging, but it looks pretty, and it’s well-done. (Plus, it’s actually in the square shape, so it can easily be wrapped if you want). The packaging displays pictures of the vibrator along with the features on the outside. On the inside, there’s a tray where the vibrator rests. Underneath that tray, you’ll find the instruction manuals as well as a little satin bag that makes it easy to store your Key by Jopen Ceres Original Vibrator.

The Key by Jopen Ceres Original is made of a luxurious silicone that I really love. It has this uber-soft, silky silicone that your hands just glide over. I might even argue that it’s softer and silkier than LELO silicone (which is a pretty bold statement). My hands just glide over the surface of this pretty vibrator. It does have that plastic base that has some “grippy”-ness to it, so it does make it easier to hold when the vibrator is fully lubricated – though I’ll admit that the vibrator definitely gets slick when lubricant is involved. Along with this, the silicone for the Jopen Ceres Original is very, very rigid. It doesn’t have any flexibility to it at all, so you shouldn’t expect for it to bend or anything like that. This does make for better transferring of the power of the vibrations, though.

This vibrator requires two AA batteries. The base of the purple vibrator just unscrews, and then the batteries can easily be slid in through the base. Due to problems we’ve had in the past, I really do NOT recommend using any rechargeable batteries in this one. However, regular batteries seem to work just fine, and I’ve had no problems with those. The batteries slide into the compartment really easily, and when you need to change them, a couple shakes of the vibrator takes out the batteries pretty easily also.

Once you have the batteries in, you can use the buttons on the base of the vibrator to control the vibrations. It’s simple. You just press down the button to turn on the vibrator, and then single, quick presses of the button will allow you to cycle through the settings pretty easily. There are steady vibration settings along with pattern vibration settings too. To turn off the vibrator, you just have to hold down the power button for a couple seconds; after that, it’ll just turn off. (Simple, right?)

The vibrations of the vibrator are actually pretty impressive. They aren’t uber-strong, and they could definitely use a slight boost (there are few vibrators that I don’t say that about), but they are definitely stronger than most vibrators that use two AA batteries. They are on the higher end of moderate – even leaning towards “strong”. The vibrations are definitely more rumbly than they are buzzy, and they can definitely be felt “under” the skin (which is nice). The vibrations should actually be strong enough for most women to orgasm from them. If you require really-strong vibrations, you might be out of luck, but I’d say the vast majority of vibrator users will probably be able to orgasm from these vibrations.

When it comes to the noise that the vibrations make, it actually is a bit on the loud side. It really depends on how you’re holding it. If you have the vibrator pressed against something, the vibrator is loud enough to be heard in the same room but not outside a closed door. But if you AREN’T applying pressure (such as letting it vibrate on the bed while you switch your hand to something else), it makes a rattling noise that can definitely be heard in the same room and quite possibly heard outside of a closed door. Not quite “Hitachi-loud”, but definitely easily heard over my music in the same room.

I find that the Ceres Original vibrator seems to work best for clitoral stimulation – however, part of the appeal of a traditional vibrator such as this one is the fact that it is so versatile. Because of the shape, you can pretty easily use it clitorally, and if you want, you can also insert the vibrator for more pleasure as well. The shaft of the Ceres Original doesn’t really have any particular texture to it, so insertion doesn’t really have any texture – it will just provide a rigid dildo-like sensation for your pleasure (which is exactly what some people want sometimes).

However, again, don’t really expect it to provide much more than a texture-less dildo. I personally prefer the Ceres Original vibrator more for clitoral use because the silicone is very unyielding to use internally, and it really isn’t all that wide. It’s smaller than most average penis girths, and many people may not find it all that satisfying. However, the rigid structure of the vibrator works a lot better for clitoral use – though the vibrations could definitely be stronger for that. But it’s easy to grasp for clitoral use, and it applies pressure really nicely.

Since this silicone vibrator is also waterproof, you don’t have to worry as much about getting water in the compartment. As such, you don’t have to be quite so careful with where you get water during cleaning. To clean it, though, you can just use warm water and antibacterial soap. If you want to protect it for multiple partners, it’s really simple to put the Original Ceres vibrator in a condom to protect it too. If you want to use some external lubricant with this vibrator, make sure to use water-based lubricant as using silicone-based lubricant with this could harm it. Along with that, for storage, I recommend keeping it in the original box or finding some other method of storage. Though I’ll admit that I haven’t really seen the silicone of this vibrator pick up much hair or lint.

Overall, the Key Ceres Original vibrator is surprisingly impressive. The vibrations are strong and rumbly (though they could always use a bit of a power boost), and the shape and design of the vibrator lends itself well to both internal and external stimulation. It’s easy to control this silicone vibrator, and the batteries go in and out really well. The silicone feels so luxurious and perfect against the skin, and the rigid design works so well for transferring the vibrations. Really, aside from a slight boost in power that I’d like to see, there’s nothing stopping me from fully endorsing this one. If you think it’s for you, I definitely say you should go for it. Thanks to Jopen for sending out this silicone vibrator for my Key by Jopen Key Ceres Original vibrator review.
