The Twist Anal Plug

The Twist Anal Plug

The Twist, an anal plug made by Tantus and is a silicone plug with twists throughout the shaft. About four and a half inches long with a diameter of about an inch and a half, the Twist is made from 100% Platinum Silicone and is completely sterilizable. Featuring a slim, slender base as well as twisted ridges throughout the entire plug, the Twist is a unique take on the average butt plug.

The packaging for the Twist plug is pretty standard of Tantus packaging. It comes in a plastic box that displays the Twist plug through the packaging. The Twist plug itself is in a plastic tray that slides out easily and allows you to take out the plug. The box would work for storage, but most Tantus boxes I use tend to break or collapse really easily, so I’d recommend against that. Also, this packaging is about four times larger than the plug itself, so it wouldn’t be a great use of space either. Just keep the Tantus Twist in a bag or baggie, and the plug will be fine.

The design of the Twist butt plug is pretty simple to understand. The entire plug is made of silicone, and it’s not something your fingers glide over, but it doesn’t have too much drag to it either. There are twists that run throughout the entire insertable portion of the plug, and there’s a semi-large retention area to help the plug stay in. At the base of the plug, this butt plug includes a slim and long base that fits comfortably between the cheeks.

When it comes to insertion, that’s probably when the Twist is the least comfortable. I really, really recommend an overabundance of lubricant with this one. If you don’t use enough lube, that’s when the Twist becomes uncomfortable to insert. The twisting design does require a bit more extra lubricant than other plugs, and making sure to have lubed up properly helps everything go a lot more comfortably. On that note, if you want to really have an interesting sensation, when inserting, it feels nice to “twist” the plug along with the twists in the material. It brings a whole different and unique sensation that you really can’t get with any other plug.

The base of this silicone butt plug is nice, though. The base is slim and slender, and it fits between the cheeks really nicely. Compared to other plugs which use a huge, block-like base, this is really nice. It helps you “forget” about the base of the plug, but it’s still keeping everything anal-safe. If you sit down, the silicone is forgiving enough, and there hasn’t been any problems with the edges of the silicone poking uncomfortably into the skin. It really does make it easy to use, and it makes it a lot more comfortable than others.

The plug does a pretty good job of staying in. It’s not perfect, but the Twist is weighted well enough that it doesn’t really “pull” itself out while you’re wearing it. This might also have something to do with the fact that the twists keep the plug from being able to slide out without any resistance. Either way, wearing this around the apartment for chores caused no issue, and it didn’t really feel like it was going to “slip out” while wearing it. For those that enjoy wearing their plugs out in public, this could be a good choice because of that. Again, though, I highly recommend bringing along some extra lubricant because, if you have to reinsert this while out in public, the lubricant is going to be a MUST-have for comfort.

The twisting texture is definitely unique. You have to be a bit careful as the tip of this plug is kinda pointy-like, but it really didn’t cause any issues except for a couple rare occasions when the plug was situated at a bad angle while sitting. The twisting design gives the plug a unique feel that really is hard to find elsewhere. I wouldn’t recommend much of a thrusting or jiggling with this one just because of that twisting sensation. It feels pleasurable and enjoyable when twisted, but it’s not so enjoyable when thrusted in and out of the body. Just make sure to keep a good amount of lubricant on the butt plug, though, and it is enjoyable to use.

Again, with removal, the plug can be a bit uncomfortable. In fact, this is probably when the plug is the most uncomfortable. I’d recommend twisting the plug back out for the least discomfort, but if there isn’t any lubricant remaining on the plug (or if you’re pulling the plug out to put on more lubricant), pulling straight out without any lubricant does cause some discomfort. The twist texture is what causes the issues, but the twist texture is also what causes the extra pleasure too, so keep that in mind.

To clean this purple butt plug, you’ll want to use warm water and antibacterial soap. As it’s made of pure silicone and is completely waterproof, you don’t have to be too careful while cleaning. It also can be boiled to be sterilized if you’d like to share it or clean it extra-well. It’s only compatible with water-based lubricants, and if you want to store it, I do recommend a storage bag or baggie to keep any hair or lint off of the surface of the silicone.

Overall, the Twist butt plug is a pleasurable and enjoyable butt plug. I know discomfort was mentioned a lot in this review, BUT as long as you are careful to keep lubricated and go with the “twisting” that the plug naturally follows, the discomfort is nonexistent. The twisting texture gives this plug an interesting feeling while the amazing base makes it comfortable and wearable for public use. I’d say that Tantus did a great job with their Twist plug.
