We-Vibe Thrill Vibrator Review

We-Vibe Thrill Vibrator
We-Vibe Thrill Vibrator

The We-Vibe Thrill is a new silicone vibrator from We-Vibe. Made from 100% silicone and completely waterproof, the We-Vibe Thrill features 8 vibration modes and is rechargeable and requires no batteries. It charges via USB, so this is something to keep in mind. The We-Vibe Thrill shares a similar design to the We-Vibe 3, but you should note that the We-Vibe Thrill is much bulkier and much larger.

The We-Vibe Thrill comes in a nice, sturdy pink box that clearly showcases the vibrator on the outside of the packaging. Inside, there’s a tray that holds the We-Vibe Thrill in place and keeps it from moving, and underneath that, there’s all of the accessories for the We-Vibe Thrill such as the charger, the instruction book, and a storage pouch. The sturdy box does include a slipcover which is easily removed, and when the slipcover is removed, the box is semi-discreet with only the name of the toy printed on it.

The design of the We-Vibe Thrill is simple. How is it supposed to be different than the widely-available We-Vibe 3, though? The We-Vibe Thrill is designed to have a stronger motor and be more filling than the We-Vibe 3. As the We-Vibe 3 is meant to be shared with the partner, the vibrator needed to be slimmer to stay out of the way during sex. With the We-Vibe Thrill, though, the vibrator was designed to be larger and provide more power and filling sensations because no partner is assumedly involved.

As previously mentioned, the We-Vibe Thrill is rechargeable. It charges via a magnetic connection that’s located in the same place as the control button. This means that the We-Vibe Thrill really has no internal holes to make problems with water usage. I have no problems with keeping the charger attached, but then again, I tend to leave the We-Vibe Thrill alone and not bother anything near it while it’s charging. I do like the charging system, though, and it makes it easy to charge. The vibrator does take 90 minutes of charging for 120 minutes of play which is a bit under par for what most rechargeable massagers can do. I normally expect the use time to at least be close to double what the charge time is.

The vibrations on the We-Vibe Thrill are pretty moderate in intensity. They are stronger on the insertable g-spot portion than the clitoral portion, and while they aren’t buzzy, they aren’t too rumbly either. They don’t come anywhere near to rivaling other We-Vibe toy vibrations such as the Salsa or the We-Vibe Tango. The vibrations tend to be very easily felt on the handle which does lead to the hand feeling numb pretty quickly during use if you keep your hand on it. On the loudest setting, they can easily be heard in the same room, but assuming the toy is inserted into you for use, it’d be pretty difficult to hear it through a closed door.

The controls for this vibrator, like the other We-Vibe toys, are amazing. I love how they control and charge their sex toys. There’s a single button on the edge of the clitoral portion. As it points towards your face during regular usage, it tends to stay semi-out-of-the-way of bodily fluids, and it’s pretty simple to press. As long as you are holding onto the body of the toy in some way while trying to press it, the button presses down easily. Single presses will cycle through the vibration modes while holding down the button will turn off the We-Vibe Thrill.

To be honest, though, I can’t say I’m in love with the We-Vibe Thrill. It’s more of a “meh” experience for me. I really can’t hold the vibrator too much during use because the vibrations just seem to run straight up my arm. Like, it almost feels like I can feel them in my brain. it’s totally weird, and the vibrations seem to be stronger in the handle of the vibrator than they happen to be in the actual plastic part that touches clitorally. The vibrations are just on the moderate side, and they really aren’t enough for orgasm unless you’re sensitive – even on the highest setting. At least I have to give it credit for actually hitting the clitoris which some other vibrators fail at.

Internally, the vibrations actually transmit pretty well, and I like the intensity of the vibrations internally. As I don’t require as strong of vibrations internally, the design of this actually works pretty well for me. The g-spot, internal portion is pretty filling without being too intense, but it really doesn’t hit the g-spot at all. I have a pretty unique g-spot, so there’s that to keep in account, but also, the g-spot, internal arm is extremely flexible. This is to make sure that it’s comfortable for most body anatomies. Unfortunately, at the same time, the flexibility of the g-spot arm means that it really can’t provide any targeted pressure to the g-spot. If it’s in the general vicinity of your g-spot on its own, it will vibrate and provide pleasure, but you really can’t “angle” the toy to hit the g-spot too well because all that happens is that the vibrator’s flexibility just adjusts for your angling. So for internal vibrations, it’s good and filling, but don’t expect it to hit the g-spot unless you have a very shallow one.

I think the biggest disappointment, overall, though, is the price. I received this vibrator before I knew the price, and I estimated a price around $80 or $90. That seemed fair. It was rechargeable and made of silicone and We-Vibe’s other toys, which are made of a cheaper material (plastic) are slightly under that price range while the We-Vibe 3, which includes wireless capabilities, a charging base, and lots of extra features, is over that price. Since the We-Vibe Thrill is basically a “nerfed” (go nerd term!) version of the We-Vibe 3 yet still made of silicone, I just assumed it would be under the We-Vibe 3 price yet over the plastic We-Vibe toy’s price. I was WAY off, though. The We-Vibe Thrill goes for around $30 MORE than the We-Vibe 3. Which is awful. While I hate taking prices into account for reviews (because everyone has their personal finance limits and my splurge may be your dinner cash), the We-Vibe Thrill is extremely overpriced compared to other dual-stimulation, silicone, rechargeable toys. So I do have to take it into account.

In fact, really, I’d just recommend the We-Vibe 3 over this one if you want a C-shaped vibrator. The We-Vibe 3 includes more features, can also be used for sex, and while it may not be quite as powerful in terms of vibrations, it’s also more affordable and much more versatile. I love my We-Vibe 3 – I keep it charged up next to the bed. The We-Vibe Thrill? Well, it will probably go into a storage box somewhere. I just don’t see how they can compared.

To clean this vibrator, you’ll want to use warm water and antibacterial soap. You don’t have to be too careful since the We-Vibe Thrill is completely waterproof. It’s only compatible with water-based lubricant, and it does need to be stored in special bags or boxes as the silicone tends to pick up lint and hair. As the vibrator comes with a nice box and a nice storage bag, though, storage is pretty simple.

Overall, I’d have to say that you should pass on the We-Vibe Thrill unless you are okay with softer vibrations, have the money for this, and aren’t looking for a firm g-spot push. I’d even recommend a rabbit vibrator over this one for most people as most rabbits are cheaper. I just don’t see the pleasure and design required to really justify the price tag. It’s a nice vibrator, but it really just doesn’t have the intensity nor the firm design to make it a fantastic dual stimulator for most. Thanks to FunWares for providing this dual stimulation vibrator for my We-Vibe Thrill review.
