When I saw the pictures of these cuffs, I really wanted them. The idea of having a bondage toy that would so easily restrain wrists to stay at waist level seems like an amazingly erotic idea to me. When Twisted Miss offered to send me the Wrist to Waist Cuffs for review, I just had to say yes.
The Wrist to Waist Cuffs is virtually a giant nylon belt that has two neoprene-material cuffs at the back of it. The belt is extremely adjustable and looks like it will fit 20″ waists up to around 35″ waists. The belt is adjusted just like a regular backpack strap would be, and it even includes a two-ended clip like a nylon strap would as well. The belt itself is about two inches in width. The cuffs should fit every size of wrist – big or small. There’s definitely a large amount of flexibility with the cuffs.
This bondage belt does seem to work pretty nicely, but I honestly would be concerned about its use depending on who you want to use it on. Most females have hips, and that is one of things that will keep this up. Some males have absolutely none, so be prepared to tighten this a little tighter then usual to get it to stay up. Also, if someone has a problem with their arms/wrists or keeping their arms behind their back, this wrist to waist cuff set may make them uncomfortable. If that’s the case, you may want to consider mental bondage or a different set of cuffs that hold the shoulders neutral.
To put it on, you just fit the belt to your partner’s size then buckle the snap in the front. From there, put your partner’s wrists in the cuffs. To take it off, take your partner’s wrists out of the cuffs then unbuckle the belt. Extremely easy and pain-free.
My biggest complaint with the belt is the giant clip in the front. It’s completely obvious and not at all sensual. I’m sure there could have been a different way to fasten this, but they chose it this way. It does make it easier to keep at a certain setting and then leave it there and only have to do the clip to put it on and off, though. Since your partner’s wrists will be behind their backs, they won’t be able to reach the clip either.
These subservient restraints definitely do exactly as they advertised though. They will keep your partner’s hands behind their back. It’s possible to undo the velcro that keeps the cuffs together while you are tied up, but it’s hard. The cuffs themselves are physically attached to the nylon of the belt, but the cuffs close and fasten with some strong velcro. The belt itself is easy to adjust; However, I recommend adjusting the belt before you start getting down to play. I also recommend adjusting it before you put it onto a person.
My submissive says it’s comfortable to wear. He also says he feels a little awkward wearing it since he loses control of his hands. Overall, he says it doesn’t cut into his skin and that the nylon belt and the neoprene cuffs are comfortable and soft on his skin. He has no complaints with it.
Since the entire thing is made out of water-safe materials, this belt is also waterproof. I’d be careful in the shower since they don’t have their hands to catch themselves if they fall.
This wrist to waist cuff set can be washed with some warm water and some mild soap. Pat it dry, and let it dry all of the way before you pack it up for storage. Because it “saves” the last user’s waist size and preference, I recommend just keeping this a one-person toy. However, it would work for more if you’d prefer to adjust the belt with each new person.
Overall, it’s a great set for anyone who is looking for some kinky bondage. It allows you to easily tie up your partner’s hands; that’s a great feature when you’re a beginner to bondage. Because you tie back your partner’s hands, their chest will also get thrust forward. I do recommend trying this Wasist to Wrist set if you’d like a new way to experience bondage.
