Womanizer Plus Review

Specifically designed as a clitoral stimulation vibrator with extra handling space for easier use, the Womanizer Plus is the brand new iteration of Womanizer, and it’s sold by Good Vibrations. Unlike other Womanizer vibrators which may be only 5″ or 6″ in length, the Womanizer Plus is 9″ in total length – with most of that length being in the handle. The vibrator is waterproof and rechargeable, and it’s equipped with the company’s “Pleasure Air” technology that provides vibrations and suction for the ultimate pleasures. The body of the toy is ABS plastic while the head of the toy which touches the body is made from silicone.

The Womanizer Plus vibrator comes in some downright-beautiful packaging. The box is white and black with shimmery gold accents, and it really sets the tone for a “luxury” experience before you even open the box. This box is also particularly sturdy, and it could be used to store the toy – including stacked up with other boxes. Inside the box (in which the lid just lifts off), there’s a plastic tray that the Womanizer Plus vibrator rests in. Underneath this tray, you’ll find the rest of the accessories including the charging cable, the instructions, an extra silicone head piece (in the company’s “large” size), and a black drawstring bag.

Womanizer Plus Review

The Womanizer Plus is just downright gorgeous. I have no complaints about the design or color scheme. The vibrator is a white, black, and gold design with the gold detailing running around the edges and the top of the vibrator. As most of the gold detailing’s crevices are well away from where any bodily fluids would get, it’s not frustrating for me. Just pretty. The toy just plain looks great. The entirety of the vibrator is made from ABS plastic and feels firm to the touch. There’s no textured areas on the handle, so it might be good to wipe down your hands if your hands are slick to get the best grip on this vibrator.

As previously mentioned, the Womanizer + is rechargeable. The toy requires a full 90 minutes to charge the toy up from empty, and it can be used for 4 hours once the toy is entirely charged up. Supposedly, the vibrator is equipped with an auto-shut-off mode to prevent overheating around the 30 minute mark, but I’ve never had the toy shut off on me. The vibrator’s charging port is located at the base of the toy, and it’s covered by a silicone cover when the toy is not being charged.

Of course, it’s important that your vibrator be easy to use, and the Womanizer luckily is. You just have the power buttons and the intensity buttons. The power button will turn the toy on or off, and you can use the +/- buttons in order to increase or decrease intensity. Each button presses with a nice, satisfying “click”, and I’ve never had any problem with the toy doing anything I hadn’t told it to do. It’s easy to control.

Womanizer Plus Review

Now, the most important part: how does it feel? Amazing, really, sums it up in a single word. The Womanizer Plus has a bit more power than some of the earlier iterations, and I thought the first releases were already pretty good! The Womanizer Plus continues the Womanizer line’s dedication to simultaneous suction and vibrations to a very pinpoint part of the body (which most users will likely prefer on the clitoris). This combined suction and vibration effort is something that no other vibrator on the market had done – and now there are a few manufacturers beginning to explore into it. This combination is absolutely amazing, and it somehow never manages to numb my body – and it’s one of the few (okay, the only!) toy I’ve been able to find that can give me multiple orgasms. This doesn’t seem to be a unique claim to me, either. It seems a lot of the Womanizer users have discovered multiple orgasms with it.

It’s just genuinely an extremely orgasmic toy. It feels unique, amazing, and intense. I have absolutely no complaints on the stimulation. Just keep in mind that it’s a bit different than your “standard” vibrator, so it might take you a bit of experimentation until you find the “sweet spot” for your own body.

As a note, the toy isn’t the quietest – but it isn’t insanely loud either. It’s quieter than most wand vibrators, but depending on how you’re holding it, it can be louder than standard vibrators. The toy is most quiet when pressed firmly up against the body. However, you’ll likely end up breaking suction or moving the toy around during use, and in those periods, the toy is loud enough to be heard outside of a closed door. It’s definitely not the most discreet of toys – but it’s not loud enough to be distracting to its pleasure either.

The second-most important part is how well this vibrator will work with larger bodies. After-all, that’s exactly who the vibrator was designed for. To meet this need, the Womanizer Plus was designed with an extra-long handle and a slightly curved design to help reach around larger bodied areas. The other area where I expected a difference is in the tip of the clitoral vibrator itself. In this case, it was there. While the Womanizer Plus comes equipped with the company’s “standard” silicone head equipped on the tip when you receive it, there’s an extra, “large” tip stored underneath the plastic tray of the vibrator. You can just slip it onto the tip of the vibrator if you find that the “standard” silicone head isn’t working well for you. (I find the “standard” tip to work wonderfully.)

My first impression was: wow, this vibrator is definitely designed with some “extra room to spare”. I’m not a small girl by any means – I’m definitely on the plus-size spectrum, and I’m about in the middle of available sizing at plus-size stores like Lane Bryant or Torrid. And the Womanizer Plus has noticeably much more length than I need. As an already plus-sized woman, this basically means the Womanizer+ will likely offer enough length for virtually anyone.

Womanizer Plus Review

With the longer length, however, the company chose to move the Intensity control buttons. While the power button is located near the tip of the toy near the clitoral-touching part, the intensity buttons are located near the very, very base of the toy. For people who need the Womanizer’s length in order to reach the right spot, they’ll likely be holding the Womanizer+ near this tip, and this is a conveniently-located spot for them. For myself, I found that I didn’t need the full length of the vibrator, and as such, I was holding this clitoral vibrator near the middle part of the handle. This meant either moving my hand to slide down to the base or using another hand to change the vibration intensities. Unless you’re gripping the vibrator on the base in the first place, the button placement is particularly frustrating. That being said, you’re not going to accidentally press a button during use. You’ll have to intentionally try to change the intensity or power the toy.

The extra length could be particularly helpful to a couple groups of people. For one, if you have any issues with arm flexibility or find your body tiring out with holding your arm near the the genital area, the Womanizer Plus’s extra length is probably going to be absolutely amazing for you. This could be especially helpful for those who have back issues or find that bending forward to hold a toy between the thighs becomes painful or uncomfortable. The length will also lend itself particularly well to people who carry a lot of their weight in their stomach; the length makes reaching between the thighs with the vibrator a whole lot easier.

That being said, unless you usually have a particularly difficult time reaching between your thighs with standard vibrators, the Womanizer Plus is probably not necessary for you. Get it if you want it, but don’t think that it’s going to be “needed” for you to enjoy a Womanizer vibrator. The standard Womanizer toys will be an a-okay option for quite a few plus-sized bodies. If standard vibrators are uncomfortable for you to hold there, you’ll likely want the Womanizer Plus, but for many plus-sized bodies, that may not be the case.

Now, I own one of the first Womanizers to hit the market. As in, I have the Womanizer W100 – in a design that appears to be entirely unpurchasable anymore. So, in terms of comparisons, this is where my comparison point is coming from. The biggest difference is definitely size. The Womanizer+ is noticeably larger than the Womanizer W100 – but that’s exactly what the design was crafted to do. Secondly, you’ll notice the control structure difference. The Womanizer+ includes the dedicated strength control buttons that the Womanizer company has been leaning towards while the W100 only offers the single-button control. Finally, the other biggest difference is the storage options the toy comes with. I’m frustrated to say that the Womanizer Plus vibrator only comes with a drawstring storage bag. The Womanizer W100 came with a plastic, hard-shelled zip-up case that’s been absolutely amazing for protecting it, throwing it into a bag, and ensuring I can keep all of the parts (instructions, charger, additional tip, etc.) together. As an added note, the Womanizer Plus certainly looks more luxurious and gorgeous than the relatively-rocker-looking Womanizer W100.

Womanizer Plus Review

Unlike many of the first iterations of the Womanizer, the Womanizer Plus is entirely waterproof. This makes cleaning a much easier affair, and it also means that squirters who have accidentally ruined their Womanizer because of fluid will have no concerns with this particular model. It’s pretty simple to clean, and depending on how you use the toy, majority of the cleaning will just need to be done on the removable silicone tip. You might need to run a soapy washcloth over the head of the toy as well, but regardless, it’s pretty simple to clean. I just recommend ensuring the vibrator is entirely dry before putting it back into storage. There’s no reason to use lubricant with the Womanizer Plus, but if you choose to, water-based lubricant is probably the best choice. Unlike some of the earlier versions of the Womanizer, this Womanizer does not come with a dedicated storage case. Instead, it can be stored in the original packaging or the black drawstring bag. (Seriously. I was in love with the Womanizer W100’s hard-shell case, and I’m very sad to see that the company didn’t continue this storage option with their later toys)

Womanizer Plus Review

Overall, the Womanizer Plus is a good iteration of the Womanizer for those who find that standard vibrators are a bit uncomfortable to use for long periods of time. It’s probably not necessary for most plus-sized bodies, but for the people that find its extra-length necessary, it’s probably one of the few vibrator options on the market that will work. The design is gorgeous, it offers quite a bit of power, and like the Womanizer is known for, it offers easy and intense orgasms. I’d highly recommend most of the Womanizer line – and the Womanizer Plus in particular for those who might find the vibrator’s extra length to be helpful. Thanks to Good Vibrations for sending out this plus-sized Womanizer for my Womanizer Plus review/Womanizer+ review.
