The Trinity Anal Plug Vibrator is a six-inch, plastic vibrator made by Evolved that is large and smooth to the touch. It includes a ring that functions as the controller for the vibrator, and this is intended to be an anal toy. It is powered by two AAA batteries which is a change from the watch batteries that the other similar toys in this series (Engagement Ring, etc.) use.
The packaging for the Trinity Anal plug vibrator is pretty, but it’s not going to be the most collectible-type packaging that you’ve ever seen from Evolved. The packaging does protect the toy, and it looks really cute and will work for gift-giving, but it’s not a metal tin for long-term storage. Also, as the toy is plastic, it doesn’t require any special storage, so feel free to just recycle or toss the packaging after you’ve removed the toy.
Just like similar-looking vibrators from Evolved, this vibrator is controlled by a control ring. This ring slips around your finger and allows you to control the anal portion itself through pressing the button on the ring. It works just fine, and I’ve never had problems with the button not controlling it correctly. The only complaint I really have is that the cord is not the longest ever. If you are using it near your bum, you can easily grasp the controller on your hand around waist level or have your partner use it around your waist level, but if you have the toy inserted, you may not be able to touch your breasts or anywhere above your breasts while still wearing the remote control.. It depends on your height as well as what you’re hoping to do with the sex toy.
The Trinity vibrator uses two AAA batteries. The batteries insert through the base of the vibrator. The base, which includes the cord that attaches to the ring, just screws off, and you can insert the two AAA batteries face-down. The batteries are easy to insert and take back out, and in my video, I even accidentally dumped them out of the toy by turning it upside down while the compartment was open, so again, it’s very easy to remove and change them. We did find, in our Engagement Ring toy (which is similar to this one), that the sex toy will drain the batteries while not turned on, though, so remove the batteries when not using this one.
The vibrations for this plug are pretty well-centered towards the center of the plug instead of in the base like I was afraid of. They transfer relatively well through the plastic, and while they aren’t the strongest out there, they are moderate in strength and most people will find them really pleasurable. They can be a bit loud, though, and they can easily be heard in the same room, but they are hard to hear outside of a closed door unless you have thin doors. The vibrations have five different settings – two steady vibrations and three patterns, and you must cycle through all of the settings to turn off the sex toy – you can’t just hold down the button.
I really, really like this design of this item from Evolved. I tried their other ones with similar designs (the [http://www.edenfantasys.com/vibrators/bullet-egg-vibrators/engagement-finger-ring|Engagement Ring]), and I found that the ring controlling design works fantastically for us. I personally enjoy controlling the toys that he’s using or has inserted, so this is like a god-send, really. It’s hard to find other remote-controlled anal toys because the control is usually straight on the toy if there is any control at all. With this, though, he can easily insert and use it while I, sitting or laying usually within body contact of him, can slip this onto my finger to control the vibrations. The ring doesn’t get in the way of other foreplay activities, though, so I can continue to touch while controlling the vibrator which is amazing.
The biggest concern I have about the Trinity vibrator is the shape of its base. The base is only slightly larger than the widest point of the vibrator, and as this is supposed to keep this vibrator from being “taken into” your bum, that does concern me slightly. In our use, we didn’t have any issues with it getting “sucked up”, but if you take things larger than this regularly, you may want to be concerned about it.
Something else of note is that this really isn’t so much for beginners. The size is surprisingly large – much larger than I thought it would be. Pulling out my measuring tape, it measures about a two-inch diameter at the largest point and about a 6-inch circumference. It’s also hard plastic, so it “feels” even larger than what equivalent in silicone or softer materials. This is a LARGE anal toy, and it’s larger in size than most small or intermediate anal toys. Again, it is also completely rigid, to be prepared for this when thinking about the size of this sex toy.
Once you have it inserted though (which again, takes a bit), the vibrations travel really well. The vibrations are placed really nicely to be felt in the toy itself instead of just in the base, and they travel pretty nicely too. The only downside for use is that it really does have a large diameter, and that diameter will keep us from using this more regularly as it’s much larger than most of the anal toys that he plays with. It’s even larger, at the widest point, than the iRide which is usually pushing “the limit” for his anal usage. The plastic body of the Trinity vibrator does lubricate really easily, though, so if you can take the size, it inserts pretty well without much fuss.
For cleaning, as this is plastic, you just have to use warm water and antibacterial soap. The plastic body of the insertable plug is really, really easy to clean, and it wipes down well. Make sure to clean it thoroughly to avoid any lasting scent, and if you want, it will fit in a condom for easy cleaning, but the condom does tend to slide around a bit with the shape of the toy. It’s compatible with all types of lubricant, and for storage, as it’s a regular plastic toy, it can be stored anywhere and it doesn’t pick up lint or hair.
Overall, the Trinity vibrator is a good anal vibrator, but be aware of its safety limitations before looking into it. Whether you want something your partner can control or something you don’t have to twist yourself into a pretzel to control, though, the Trinity vibrator does do a pretty darned good job, and it’s a good vibrator. I just wish the base was larger or less tapered.
