UPDATE MAY 2020: The ToiBocks company, and the ToiTissue container, are no longer in production. While I still have this around my place, I can never use it since I can’t seem to find tissues slim enough to fit into this container’s design anymore. (They don’t seem to be common sizes anymore?). This review remains as a reference for this sex toy storage box.
The ToiTissue ToiBocks is a sex toy storage solution. The neat thing about this box is how discreet it is. Unlike other sex toy storage, this box is completely discreet and easily hides when placed into a room. The ToiTissue is made by ToiBocks and uses the same wood as the ToiBocks as well. It’s a nice, dark wood that blends in with any decor that uses black, brown, or another dark color as the main color. The ToiTissue is nine and a half inches long, five inches in width, and four inches in depth. This means that it’s a bit bigger than that “large” tissue box you can purchase at your local retailer. So it’s relatively small and will easily fit on most surfaces.
The ToiTissue does not really come in discreet packaging, but it is very tasteful and classy. It’s a white box that shows pictures of the ToiTissue and gives some features of the box. Your ToiTissue will also come safely cuddled in some styrofoam as well to keep it from getting harmed. There’s no reason to use this box for storage since the product itself is storage.
For us, we’re keeping our ToiTissue in different places. First, we tried it on the back of the toilet to hide some after-sex clean-up products. But the boyfriend didn’t like it there, and I didn’t like what we couldn’t keep in it while it was in the bathroom. After that, it came to rest on a nightstand/bookshelf inside the bedroom. We kept lubricant and condoms in there. That seemed to work better for the both of us, and there it has stayed since.
I bet you’re wondering how this little box ends up being so discreet. Well, basically, one of the sides of the ToiTissue slides open. The slid-out side then has a small tray that can hide smaller items in it. Above the small tray is a ledge where a small-size tissue box can fit in the slot and the tissues will come out of the slot at the top which makes this just look like a fancy tissue box holder. It’s near-impossible to tell there is any sort of extra slide-out tray inside of this box since it’s completely flush with the sides of the ToiTissue. Unless someone owns one themselves, there’s no way they’ll even suspect anything. (Really. It was so discreet, I couldn’t figure out how to open it.) Because it’s so discreet, I’d easily call this ToiTissue more discreet than the ToiBocks (even though the ToiBocks has more room.)
One thing about the tissue area. This has to be a small box of tissues. For some reason, I hadn’t thought this through and believed it would take my three-inch tall “average” box of tissues. It won’t. It has to be the really long, really slim one. When I see those boxes, I think of the boxes that my mother sent me to school with when I was younger – so it’s the small, long, one-inch tall boxes that will fit in here – nothing else. You also could choose to just take a bunch of tissues out and store them without a box inside the ToiTissue.
The internal measurements of the ToiTissue (for what it can physically hold in its discreet storage) is eight inches in length, 3.25 inches in width, and 1.25 inches in height. (Height as in from the bottom of the box to the top of the box.) So you could store a dildo/vibrator in here, but it would have to be less than eight inches in length, lack a base, and be less than 1.25 inches in diameter. I hope that makes sense. These are the measurements gotten straight off of the packaging, so there’s really no room for error on these measurements.
The inside of the bottom of the tray is lined with gorgeous red velvet that looks great against the dark cherry wood. The sides of the tray are pieces of the dark cherry wood that don’t appear to have been completely sanded – they are a bit scratchy. This set-up looks really luxurious and everything, but I’m a bit concerned about the velvet in case you end up getting a lube/condom spill. It’d be pretty hard to get the mess completely out of the velvet. For this reason, make sure your bottle of lube is completely clean on the outside, sealed shut, and that your condoms aren’t leaking lubricant before storing them in here.
So what types of things will fit in here? Well, for one, most lubricant and condoms will easily fit in here without a problem. Most of the rest of the toys that will fit will have to be smaller toys – this isn’t a huge amount of room. Most of the Fun Factory Smaller vibes will fit (I tried this on the Spring, but most of the FunFactory clitoral vibes are about the same size.) All types of bullets would fit in here. My LELO Siri fit in here without a problem. Most cock rings should fit in here with no issue. My NJoy FunWand, We-Vibe, Bent Graduate, and other fun things. It also will fit most anal beads, all nipple clamps, and my bit gag fits in here too. Basically, it just has to be less than eight inches long, and be less, (at ALL angles) than 1.25 inches in size.
For cleaning, I’m a bit concerned. After all, there’s velvet in the bottom of the box. However, just wiping up a mess with a damp washcloth should help get most (if not all) of the mess cleaned up. Make sure you set it out to dry or it might harm the velvet long-term. For sanity’s sake, if I’m keeping something lube-y in here, I put it in a small plastic bag first.
I really enjoy my ToiTissue. It’s a fun, discreet box that ends up holding most bedside essentials. While it won’t hold basically any dildo or rabbit vibrator, it holds most clitoral vibrators and essentials like condoms, lubricant, gloves, or bullet vibes that most people would keep at their bedside. Plus, it’s extremely easy to open and get at what you need easily. For this reason, I wouldn’t purchase it as storage for your full collection, but I’d definitely say you should check this out as storage for the essentials that you want right next to you but need to keep hidden.
