As you can see from the photos, the paddle will “droop” when just held. It has quite a bit of flexibility, and it easily folds back onto itself. That’s not standard for paddles, but it still makes a very potent paddle.
Cleanliness is something I’m always concerned about with kink play. Most paddles are not made from a material that can be thoroughly sterilized for use with multiple people. This paddle can be. Made from pure silicone, it can be sterilized with a water and bleach solution or by boiling. (I’m lazy, and I prefer boiling) The point is, you can use this with multiple partners without worrying about what bacteria or problems your paddle might be hiding from your last play session. When it comes to use, this bad boy HURTS. This Tantus silicone paddle was really designed for some intensity – and it delivers. Because of the flexible design, you get a lot of “ouch” nearest the tip. You definitely want to work up to more intense hits with this one – even light hits feel painful. Even if you’re spanking a larger butt or area, the paddle actually covers quite a bit of area. It’s not like those smaller paddles that can only hit half of the butt at once. At the same time, you need to be aware of how long it is and plan accordingly. Because the paddle’s material is flexible, it means you have to be worried about “wrap around”. This is the reason that I’d really say that this paddle is for more advanced users. Grasping this paddle isn’t the most comfortable. The handle has more of a square-like design than a circular one like most handles you’d expect. I imagine it’s easier to make this shape instead of a circle. However, for long spanking sessions, the grip can get to be a little uncomfortable and require multiple repositionings. It’s not horrible, but it’s not quite as comfortable as it could be. I found myself regularly readjusting my grip on the paddle for more comfort.

Just a large, high-quality piece of silicone. Use warm water and antibacterial soap for regular cleanings, or you can sterilize with a water and bleach solution or boiling. The paddle dries relatively quickly, and you don’t have to be too careful about cleaning procedures. It’s a pretty forgiving paddle. Bodily fluids or lubricants won’t bother it, and while it does have a small temporary hanging cord on it from the packaging, you can lay it around for storage too. Just don’t lay it in any position that bends the paddle to avoid putting creases in your toy.
Overall, the Tantus Wham Bam paddle is a fantastic addition to any kinksters toybox. I would mostly recommend it for people who are familiar and experienced with spanking because it requires a bit more know-how and care than standard paddles.
