The Tantus Suction Cup is a silicone suction cup that attaches to any dildo with a hole in the base to give it a suction cup. It can be bought at FunWares adult toys. The suction cup is about two inches in diameter at the base, and the diameter of the inserted portion is about 3/4 inch. The inserted portion includes ridges to help keep the suction cup attached to the dildo itself.
The Suction Cup comes in a plastic blister pack packaging. The front of the box explains what it is, and the entire packaging looks nice and classy. It’d make a decent gift if someone was really wanting one of these. It’s easy to take the suction cup out, and there’s no reason to keep the packaging after you have taken it out.
This Suction Cup basically turns any dildo you own that has a hole in the bottom into a dildo with a suction cup. So, almost all of the Tantus dildos work, and any other dildo that comes with a bullet to insert it into the dildo to make it vibrate will work with the suction cup as well. If there is a hole in the base, it will work with this suction cup. Most of the Vac-U-Lock dildos should work with this suction cup as well since they have a hole in the base of the dildo.
Just like a bullet, I highly recommend you put some lubricant in the base of the dildo before you slide the suction cup in. It’s not quite as hard to get the suction cup out as it is with a bullet, but it does make it a lot easier. With multiple uses with the lubricant, we’ve had no problems with the dildo coming off easily, so it will just make it easier to remove when you want to, and it doesn’t make it come off when you don’t want it to. But it does pop out with a bit of pressure when you want to clean the dildo and the suction cup.
This suction cup works pretty well, but it does depend on what you’re using and where you’re using it. On the where, this works best with a dry, flat surface. For example, our walls are textured, and it doesn’t work quite as well as it could. It works best when placed on the floor, but it can be placed on a wall for use like that. However, gravity does effect it a lot more when you use it on a wall, so if, coupled with the wall-use, you use a heavier dildo, it causes issues. On the floor, though, the dildo itself doesn’t make as much of a difference as long as you use a flat surface. A wooden chair works okay, tiled floor, or most bathroom surfaces (including the toilet lid) works okay for holding the suction cup down.
On the “what” side, the shape, length, and weight of the dildo you use will make a big difference. The Tantus O2 Niagara (I think it’s discontinued) was too long and too heavy to handle being used on the wall. The weight and length would pull the dildo down off the wall if it wasn’t be held or being used. Smaller and lighter dildos like the Tantus Small Silk held up just fine. Moderate dildos like the Silk Medium worked okay, but I think the O2 dual-core stuff tends to weigh more, so it brought it down a lot more easily. The dildo itself is not an issue if the suction cup is being used on the ground. We were using it to hold the dildo on the wall for oral sex use, so the length and the weight of the dildo mattered. For most average use, though, it shouldn’t make a difference.
This suction cup should be cleaned like any other sex toy you own. It probably won’t get nearly as messy since it’s at the base, but it will probably get a bit of bodily fluids on it. Just use warm water and antibacterial soap to clean it regularly, and since this is silicone, it can be boiled for sterilization for multiple partners. Make sure to keep it dry if you want it to stick well though.
Really, though, the Tantus Suction Cup does work wonderfully. It holds the dildo comfortably to any surface that you want it to stick to. It holds it up on walls as well as floors, and as long as the surface is flat, it does a good job. The dildo itself doesn’t fall off or get pulled off of the suction cup at all. It holds it well to the surface you want it to, and makes it so you can turn your regular dildos into suction cup dildos when you want to. Thanks to FunWares sex toys for providing this dildo suction cup for my Tantus Suction Cup review.
