Designed to multi-task with whatever you need it to do, the Tantus Plunge Paddle is a silicone paddle, made by Tantus, that also has a handle that functions as a dildo. Featuring an insertable handle that also doubles as a curved dildo, this paddle has 6″ of handle length with a girth of 1.25″.
The Plunge Paddle doesn’t come in any particular packaging. It has a couple small tags that hang off of it, but those tags are easily untied to make the entire handle very smooth. The handle does come with a small hole in the silicone, so you can loop something temporarily through it to allow you to hang the paddle up until you unhook it for use.
Since this is made of silicone, one of the neat things about it is that it’s fully sterilizable. Many paddles, including those you might see at a standard BDSM party, are made from wood or other materials that can’t be sterilized. Pure silicone can be sterilized. This means that you can be sure that your paddle is okay to be shared with any other person. Just make sure to take the proper precautions to fully sterilize your toy, and you can use your paddle with other people without the worry of spreading diseases or other bodily fluids.
This Tantus paddle isn’t entirely rigid. It does have some flexibility to it. Whether you’d think about it or not, the flexibility leads to the paddle feeling surprisingly more intense than you’d first imagine. A rigid paddle tends to stay relatively flat when struck. However, with the flexibility of the silicone on this paddle, it can gain more momentum for the hit which actually makes it feel more intense. The silicone itself has very minimal plushyness to it, though. Where you put it is pretty much where it’s going to stay. It doesn’t really “bend” – which makes for great penetration of the handle end. It also makes the handle a great handle since the dildo/handle portion doesn’t bend while the paddle portion has a lot more flexibility to it.
When it comes to the dildo, though, the paddle has quite a bit more rigidity. Like stated above, the handle will hold its shape. That’s important as it’s really needed to make sure you can use this paddle as a paddle as well. You get the flexibility of the paddle portion while the handle/dildo ends up staying as rigid as can be. It makes for a great combination when you need something that can go both ways.
Handling this paddle is surprisingly easy as well. While the handle was also created to work as a dildo, it does a fine job of being a handle at the same time. Since it’s so rigid, you can just use the handle like a standard paddle handle. The end of the handle actually features a small, curved bulb. Not only is going to be fantastic for g-spot stimulation, but at the same time, it easily helps to keep your hand onto the paddle. While I definitely recommend wiping down and cleaning the paddle handle between using it as a paddle after it’s been covered in fluids, if you happen to find the handle is slippery, this end bulb helps keep the handle in your hands no matter how intense the paddling gets.
When using the Tantus Plunge Paddle, it actually works as a pretty decent dildo as well. It’s not perfect, and a standard Tantus dildo is going to be easier to use as a dildo, but the curvature and the design of this paddle actually lends itself well to dildo use. Depending on where your g-spot or p-spot is located, you could hit that spot with this paddle. The curved tip really helps the dildo hit those most sensitive areas with ease. The paddle handle is slim enough to be a comfortable toy for most people, and while it’s not going to provide the most filling sensation out there (due to the standard diameter), it does provide quite a bit of pleasure with the slightly curved tip.
When cleaning this sex toy, it’s pretty simple. The handle/dildo portion only has a small hole in the handle itself. This hole allows it to hang up, but it also means you’ll need to be a bit more careful while cleaning to ensure you clean out this hole. Aside from that, though, the paddle has virtually no texture or odd shapes, so it is really straightforward to clean. You can do a regular cleaning with warm water or anti-bacterial soap, or if you want to get fancy, you can sterilize the paddle by boiling it in water or using a water/bleach solution. It’s important you only use water-based lubricant with it, though. Silicone-based lubricant could end up harming the silicone material of your sex toy.
Overall, especially for BDSM parties, this paddle is amazing. Not only can it double as a dildo and a paddle to make it easy to only keep one toy around, but it can be fully sterilized to use with multiple people. The paddle handle is perfectly shaped for using as a dildo to hit the g-spot or p-spot while it’s also rigid enough and well-shaped for easy handling. The paddle itself can be used gently, but it definitely, with its flexible shape, can belt out quite a bit of pain if you aren’t careful. If you have a bit of experience with paddling and want a paddle that can take you even further, I’d definitely recommend this one. Thanks to Tantus for providing this dildo paddle for my Plunge Paddle review.
