System JO Massage Glide Citrus is an all-in-one massage oil sold by System JO. This means that this is safe for massage use as well as safe for condom and genital use. It comes in a 4.5 ounce bottle that has a pop-top lid. There is a little red stopper underneath the cap to keep the oil from leaking during shipping. The bottle is plastic and completely smooth, so if you get the oil on the bottle, it can be difficult to hold the bottle. This bottle smells of Citrus though there also is an unscented and lavender version. The bottle itself doesn’t seem to leak at all, and it doesn’t seem to have a problem sitting up on its own.
The ingredients include: Polydimethylsiloxane, Decamethylcyclpentasiloxane, Octamethylcyclotetr-asiloxane, Dimethylsiloxane, and Hydroxy-terminated.
For that reason, I do believe the Massage Glide is actually a silicone-type product. Coupled with the fact that it’s extremely long-lasting and a bit of a pain to wash off, I’d imagine that my hypothesis is correct. To wash it off, you will need to use lots and lots of soap. For this reason, I also recommend against touching a lot of objects while your hands are lubricated because then you will have to take some serious time cleaning off all of the objects as well.
Like I said, this massage glide is extremely long-lasting. I had no problem using a small amount for an entire massage along the boyfriend’s back. The glide lasted even after lots of rubbing. Twenty minutes of a massage, and it still wasn’t getting sticky. You could easily get twenty or more massages out of this one bottle of massage glide if you were stringent about its use. I honestly enjoy pouring the stuff as much as I love actually using it, so I end up using a lot more than I need to.
It doesn’t feel greasy either. It slides nicely along the skin. After you’re done, I highly recommend a shower together since this glide isn’t really going to go away until you attack it with some serious soap and water. Putting a shirt over your goopy back might work okay, but I think then it might start to feel greasy after awhile, so I do recommend the shower. We didn’t get it on the carpet or anything, but I got some on my shirt, and it didn’t stain.
A little bit goes a long way with this glide. I had no problem just using a small dime-sized bit for a fourth of a back. It will last a long time, and if your massage ends up turning erotic (ours usually end up relaxing which is the opposite of erotic), the glide can also function as lubricant for sex. It is condom-safe and doesn’t have anything that should cause yeast infections or irritation.
It can also be used for anal lubricant though it is a little thin for that. I’d recommend against using it for sex toys of the silicone kind since it doesn’t seem to be a water-based lubricant.
I’d recommend it for vaginal use, and it would especially glide well with glass sex toys.
The glide worked great for our massage though. The only complaint I will say is that I didn’t like the Citrus scent. It was distracting at first, and while it wasn’t strong, I just don’t like Citrus. However, if you enjoy the smell of Citrus, the scent wouldn’t bother you at all. It’s strong at first just because you introduced it, but after the first couple drops, it becomes nice and airy. Again, annoying for me, but I’m sure anyone with a love for Citrus would like it more.
Overall, the JO Massage Glide Citrus is a good massage oil that will help your hands glide comfortably over your partner – then will easily work for penetration as well.
