Sliquid Organics Natural Gel Lubricant is a clean and simple water-based lubricant sold by Pink Cherry Sex Toys. Free of DEA, gluten, glycerine, parabens, PEG, and other potentially irritating or harmful ingredients, Sliquid lubricants are designed to be a natural choice for external lubrication. Like all water-based lubricants, this one can be used with any type of sex toy material and it’s condom-safe. This bottle is a 8.5 ounce bottle that’s simple to dispense with its pop-top.
The Organics Natural Gel Lubricant 8.5 ounce bottle has a great bottle design. It is made of a plastic bottle that’s pretty firm, and it holds up really well to multiple uses. I’ve had no problem with the bottle leaking – even when it’s thrown onto the floor. There are quite a few uses contained in this bottle too; I’d say that I’ll easily get over a hundred with no issue.
I’ve had quite a bit of time to test out the Sliquid Organics Natural Gel Lubricant, and I’ll admit to being extremely impressed. When it comes to lubricant, I tend to be pretty picky. It has to last a decent amount of time, and it has to do a good job of lubricating. It can’t have any awful scents, and it certainly can’t irritate me. I prefer the lubricant to “dry up” on its own afterwards – though I’ll usually give it a helping hand too. I want it to be easy to pour, and I want it to be runny enough that it gets where it needs to be without being so runny that it gets all over.
And honestly, the Sliquid Organics Natural Gel Lubricant does that all amazingly. It has a consistency that’s thicker than water, but it’s not so thick that it feels like a gel (contrary to the name). The lubricant goes on really smoothly, and it doesn’t take a ton of it to make everything feel all slick. It has no scent to it, and it pretty much “feels” natural. It really is that helping hand that makes condoms feel a whole lot more comfortable, and even with sensitivities, I’ve never had any problem with this lubricant! Plus, it’s pretty easy to wipe up afterwards, and if you don’t wipe it up, it absorbs into the skin pretty nicely too. There’s no greasy aftermath at all.
The only use complaint I have is that it can dry out relatively easily. It’s not horrible by any means, but the Sliquid Organics Natural Gel Lubricant doesn’t seem like it was meant to lubricate from “0 to 100” like required for anal sex. It works for that, but it may require a lot more frequent applications than if you were using it for vaginal sex. For vaginal sex, you can usually get away with the single application – even when using condoms. Anal sex may sometimes require those multiple applications, though. However, this is pretty on-par with water-based lubricants, and it’s not the particular fault of this lubricant. If you want to try and avoid reapplication of lubricant during anal sex, I recommend going towards a silicone-based lubricant instead of a water-based one.
I do have another slight complaint about the bottle, though. The bottle is made from a firm plastic, and it’s honestly really easy to pour. When the bottle is full, it’s a dream. The pop top is easy to pour – even with lubricated hands – and the bottle is really simple to hold. However, I imagine, once I start getting down to the bottom of the bottle, it might become more difficult to pour. This is because the bottle is made out of such a firm plastic. This plastic doesn’t really allow me to squeeze the bottle at all. This means that I’ll probably have to store the bottle upside-down to keep the remaining lubricant “ready to go” or I’ll need to wait a while for the lubricant to drip down the bottle to be able to apply it. I can’t squeeze it to help it along.
Ingredients for the Sliquid Organics Natural Gel Lubricant include: Purified Water, Plant Cellulose (From Cotton), Aloe Barbadensis (Certified Organic), Natural Tocopherols (Vitamin E), Cyamopsis (Guar Conditioners), Extracts of Hibiscu (Certified Organic), Flax (Certified Organic), Green Tea (Certified Organic), Sunflower Seed (Certified Organic), Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid (Citrus Fruits).
Overall, I love the lubricant. I was previously using a different brand (Hydra Smooth), but it’s hard to track it down to get new bottles, and it looks like the company may be discontinuing it. It was my go-to lubricant, and I was worried I’d never find another lubricant as much as I liked it. I’m happy to report that my worries were unfounded because the Sliquid Organics Natural Gel Lubricant has really replaced that for me. I wish the bottle was different, but otherwise, it really is a huge help in the bedroom, and I’d definitely recommend it for anyone that wants a natural alternative to most lubricants.
