The Sex! Invitations are a pack of 8 cards and 8 red envelopes of sex-orientated invitations. Each one of the cards includes a sex position on the inside and a foreplay idea on the outside, and they are printed on good-quality cardboard/paper-type paper. The cards are about four inches tall and about three inches wide. They include places to fill in a “To”, “From”, “Time”, and “Place” on the inside.
They don’t come in any specific packaging. It comes in a clear plastic, resealable package that can easily be opened to get out an invitation. Honestly, it just reminds me of a package of cards that you’d pick up as regular greeting cards, so just think that, and you’ll know what the packaging looks like.
The invitations all follow the same format. They are glossy and shiny on the outside, and they have a completely black/red design. The outside of the card says “You are formally invited to one….” with a foreplay option, and then it says “Followed by a…”. When you open the card, the inside will show a sex position name as well as a “From”, “To”, “Time”, and “Place” space that you can write in. The inside of the card seems to be just a colored cardboard-like material, and it isn’t shiny. This actually works out for the better as it’s really easy to write inside the card. The card does end up looking pretty cute, though, and it does its job of looking attractive and inviting your partner for some fun.
These invitations are meant to make it easy to invite your partner to do a foreplay and sex position. When the two of you have been together for awhile, it might be difficult to get the same excitement to try different positions and foreplay elements. These invitations make it easy. The ideas aren’t as creative or “out there”, but the basic ideas make it possible that the average couple could pick these up and not feel uncomfortable with them.
Plus, with the envelope that comes with them, there are a multitude of ways that you could give these to your partner. You could actually send them in the mail to your partner if he/she is the one that picks up the mail. You could slip it into their work briefcase/purse with a “For Your Eyes Only” note on the front. You could put it in their work mailbox for them to open. Just remember that the front of the card, while not graphic, does show an illustration of 69/hand/kissing/etc., so make sure there’s a bit of privacy or a note that your partner should open it in privacy.
Are the cards the most creative things ever? No. The statements and ideas on them aren’t kinky; they’re pretty standard. However, the neatness lies in the invitational aspect. It’s like a party invitation, and since you can set the place/time, you both can easily (and wordlessly!) arrange a place to act out some of these fun things – and THAT is where the good aspect of these invitations comes in.
