Ready to try a brand new type of sensation toy? Then you might think about adding the Dragon Claws to your bedroom. Sold by UberKinky, this stainless steel “claw” looks like a spiked hand – and feels about the same – to provide an interesting sensation that even human fingernails can’t provide. Clearly weighted for easier use, the Dragon Claws provide an interesting visual while also providing a pleasurable sensation when dragged across the skin.
It’s hard to exactly describe the sensation that the Dragon Claws can provide. It’s similar to the feeling of fingernails dragging against the skin, but it feels a little more “heavy” than fingernails. It has a very heavy presense to it when pressed along the skin. Because the metal “fingers” don’t have any give to them, this feels best along larger skin areas – like the thigh, back, and butt. When used along smaller areas where bone may be more pressed against the surface, the Dragon Claws can feel uncomfortable – and not in a pleasurable way. They tend to press pretty roughly against bone, so keep that in mind.
The Dragon Claws will have a surprising “bite” to them. If you press down pretty hard, you can definitely make marks on the skin. Most lighter usage is going to leave gentle scratches on the skin – sorta like if you itch your skin with your fingernails (you know, those barely-visible tracks that go away after an hour), but if you push down harder, you can definitely leave red scratch lines. The spikes aren’t sharp enough in order to draw blood, though. No matter what I’ve tried, they haven’t drawn blood yet. This is good or bad depending on how you look at it.
The non-claw side could potentially be used for penetration purposes, but I don’t think it’d be your first choice. The stainless steel is very smooth with no rough edges, but it would require trying to hold onto the “claw” end in order to thrust. If you want to “punish” somebody while also allowing them to receive penetration, this might be a good solution. Since the claw is huge, it would also make this toy entirely anal-safe if that’s on your to-do list as well.
Like all stainless steel toys, this one can be used for temperature play. Just place it in a bowl of warm or cold water and the material will absorb the temperature. Do not microwave the toy, though; that’s just unsafe. If temperature play is your jam, though, the Dragon Claws can work perfectly for that – just remember that it will change the temperature of the handle as well.
Traveling with this large toy can be a bit of a problem – or at least require some decent consideration. It’s made of steel, and it’s clearly dangerous-looking. I’d honestly avoid traveling with this at all unless you know noone will be going through your luggage. It’s also particularly heavy, so unless you’re taking it short distances, it might add more weight to your luggage than you want. It’s definitely going to set off metal detectors at an airport and possibly become a problem because of its dangerous-looking design. This is one of those “leave at home” type of toys, I’d say.
You’ll want to regularly clean the Dragon Claws because the stainless steel material can clearly show fingerprints – or maybe that’s just my OCD acting up. If you don’t mind the fingerprints, you won’t have too much of an issue. On the bright side, the stainless steel material can be boiled in order to fully sterilize your toy for use with multiple partners.
Overall, if you want to try a new sensation toy, the Dragon Claws might be perfect. They provide a very difficult sensation than fingernails or a pinwheel, and just looking at the toy is bound to turn on quite a few people in anticipation of the feel. It just has that “scary!” look to it. The toy allows for a pretty intense sensation without an easy way to draw blood – which is great for those that are concerned about markings. Thanks to UberKinky for providing this BDSM sensation play toy for my Dragon Claws review.
