UPDATE MARCH 2023: The “Secrets of a Supersexpert” Book appears to be discontinued. This sex help book review remains as a reference for anyone who’s interested. While you’re here, why not check out my BDSM advice, femdom advice, BDSM Scenes Step by Step, and Should I Buy a Fleshlight?
“Secrets of a Supersexpert” is a book by Tracey Cox all about the knowledge that she’s gained while doing sex education. Tracey Cox has also written Supersex, Superhotsex, and Supersex For Life – all which follow about the same “look” as “Secrets of a Supersexpert” does. The book has a softcover front and is has full-color photography-like pages on the inside. The book has 191 pages split into 5 different chapters: Getting It (All about the basics of sex and *real* statistics about it), Doing It (All about techniques and tricks including oral sex and the g-spot), Living It (Tips to have better sex on a regular basis), Pushing It (Kinky ideas like threesomes, sex toys, and other kinks), and Believing It. (Really odd sex facts and troubleshooting information)
One of the reasons that I love Tracey Cox’s books so much is that she always includes great full-color pictures in her books. Instead of just reading text, you are going to be greeted by beautiful and sexy (yet tasteful) pictures. There are some bare breasts and butts in both the male and female pictures, but there’s nothing graphic, and it all goes to help make reading the book feel like a more natural experience. Plus, her books all take advantage of the full color with nice black, white, and colored layouts for the text. It’s a really pleasing experience to read one of these books just because it’s fun to flip through and see what’s on the next page.
The book provides some good information, but I wasn’t as amazingly impressed by the information as I was with Superhotsex and Supersex for Life. This book seemed to touch lightly on the issues that the other two books seemed to cover in full such as spicing up your sex life with kinky things, techniques for pleasure, and keeping sex exciting in long-term relationships. The book seems to want to cover a lot of topics but cast its net so wide that it didn’t really do anything amazingly. A lot of the information tends to be a bit basic as well. For example, it talks about how to get a woman to achieve orgasm as well as how to give oral sex. (As well as how to use a vibrator.) Most of the information is usually given in lists like “Here is a list of things you should know when giving oral sex”. Again, it’s not bad, but I just don’t feel like I was as impressed by this book as I was by the other Tracey Cox books.
The sex help book still did a good job of presenting a good chunk of information in a small area. I just was left feeling like I could have learned more. While I’d still definitely recommend this book, I also recommend you check out Superhotsex and Supersex for Life as I feel like those books showcase Tracey Cox’s knowledge better.
