Please Ma’am is a 200 page soft-cover book that focuses on erotic stories of male submission. This erotic book is edited and compiled by Rachel Krama Bussel. It contains 18 different male-submission stories and is published by Cleis Press. The book feels well-made, and I don’t feel like it’s going to fall apart anytime soon. I’ve owned quite a few other Cleis Press books, and none of them have even shown signs of wear. The cover of “Please Ma’am” shows a Dominant-looking women in a corset with her legs spread in some hot ballet boots holding a cane. At the bottom of the front page is a display of the title. On the back cover, there’s just a description of the book itself. Because of the front cover, I honestly wouldn’t recommend reading this in public unless you manage to find a book cover. A book cover would allow it since there’s really no pictures or anything on the inside – it’s just the front cover that would be a problem.
For the most part, all of the stories included in this erotica are well-written and erotic. Each story, from the 18 different authors, shares the same goal of all being female-Dominant centered. From what I remember, each story is only told from the view of a male submissive – none are told from the Dominant perspective. Each story varies in the length of the story. Some are five pages while some go up to fifteen pages. The stories vary in the action itself as well as what fetishes are included in each story. A couple stories include crossdressing, some include foot fetishes, some include just-budding male submissives who just broke it to their female Dominant while some of the other stories include stories from full-24/7 relationships.
The thing that they all have in common is that they all are pretty erotic and well written. Each one is arousing in its own way, and if you don’t enjoy one of the stories, there’s another story that will be completely different that will really provide something just as erotic as the first one. I honestly didn’t find a single story in this erotic book that I wasn’t interested in reading though. If you do, though, the stories are different enough that you’ll still be able to find other stories in the book that would interest you if male submission interests you. However, all of the stories in this erotic novel are all male/female stories. There wasn’t any male/male stories which I didn’t notice at the time, but now that I look back, I find it a little odd that there wasn’t.
One of the stories I enjoyed the most was the last story of the book by Graydancer, “I’ll Do It. For Her”. He’s known as a great educator and Dominant in the BDSM scene, and I’ve heard a ton about him, so to read a story about how he sometimes lets down his guard and his wife dominates – it was refreshing, and I knew it was a story he actually wrote from the heart. The story itself seemed a lot more loving and caring than just arousing – which was an amazing way to end the book.

> “Modern Major General” – Craig J. Sorenson: A guy who has always been in charge at his office has to get used to the new Dominant female who’s been assigned as his boss.
> “Mr. February” – Madeline Elayne: After a male confesses his submissive feelings, his wife takes advantage of everything he offers.
> “Frozen” – A. D. R. Forte: A man has an office romance after-hours.
> “Thrift Store Whore” – Sommer Marsden: His girlfriend takes him into a dressing room at a thrift store to indulge his cross-dressing fetish.
> “Porch Swing” – Dominic Santi: A game between a girl and her partner leads them to be doing naughty things on their front porch. What happens when the next door neighbors find out?

Overall, I was impressed. It was an arousing collection of stories that included such a variety that I didn’t feel like I was reading the same thing over and over. Each relationship and each story was different in location and details. Some stories included sex, some included oral only, and some just included some really hot spanking descriptions. Rachel Kramer Bussel did a good job of balancing the different stories to make a great compilation of erotica.
