UPDATE JULY 2023: This specific vibrator is no longer in production – but the OhMiBod company is still going strong. Their Freestyle G is probably the closest option to the Original 2.OH. While you’re here, why not check out some additional educational info – like online submissive tasks, beginner pegging positions, saran wrap bondage, and enema 101 info.

The OhMiBod Original 2.OH is a plastic vibrator. It vibrates to the sound of music, and it can be used with any device that has a headphone jack. It can also be used like a regular vibrator using the buttons on the shaft. Coming in a bright white, the OhMiBod Original is about seven and a half inches long with a diameter of an inch, and it uses two AA batteries for power.

The packaging for the OhMiBod Original, like the rest of the OhMiBod line, is really beautiful. It’s nothing too fancy, but the design is well done. It comes in a pretty white box that clearly displays the OhMiBod on the front of it. Inside, there is a cute design on the front of the instruction book, and the OhMiBod vibrator itself sits in a plastic tray with the OhMiBod vibrator cords and the storage pouch as well. This packaging is larger than the vibrator itself, so it may not work for long-term storage, but it certainly makes the OhMiBod Original look very fancy.

The OhMiBod Original has multiple modes. This allows you to use it as a music vibrator as well as a regular vibrator as well. Which mode it uses depends on whether or not the cords are plugged in and if you have it attached to a music device. The buttons on the shaft of the vibrator offer manual control.

The OhMiBod Original uses two AA batteries in order to function. The base of the OhMiBod Original vibrator screws off, and inside the battery compartment, there is a pull-out tray that allows you to insert the two AA batteries. The tray then slides back in. The OhMiBod will not function well on rechargeable batteries, so do not use rechargeable batteries with this vibrator.

The music mode does a pretty good job of following the music! It doesn’t seem to be nearly as advanced as the Freestyle OhmiBod vibrators, but it does a pretty good job. It responds best to bass in the music, but it doesn’t respond to well to songs that have a ton or very little bass; it needs a good mixture of the two. It will plug into anything that has a head phone jack, so a computer (with music or noise), a cell phone, and other things like that are compatible with the OhMiBod Original as well.

To work the vibrator on music mode, you have to turn your MP3 player to about 75% volume (where it functions best). Then you use the included cords and plug your vibrator into your MP3 player’s headphone slot, and plug your headphones into the extra included cable as well. It’s very simple to set-up. You then can use the volume on your MP3 player to control the intensity of the vibrations. It isn’t an exact science (the Freestyle versions allow you to adjust the intensity and strength along with the vibration sensitivity separately, but they are also more expensive), but it does do a pretty decent job of following the music.

The regular vibration mode is pretty easy to control. There are two buttons at the base of the vibrator that allow you to adjust the vibration strength. By pressing the triangular button, the vibrator will turn on, and pressing the triangular button again will circle through the vibrational settings. The circular button automatically shuts off the vibrations. Both buttons are very easy to use during play.

The vibrations in both the music mode and Normal mode are about the same in terms of strength as well as loudness. When it comes to strength, the vibrations are not too buzzy or not too rumbly. They’re somewhere in the middle. They are on the higher end of moderate in strength as well, and for about some, the vibrations should be enough for orgasm.

The downside is the fact that the vibrations are so loud. You can easily hear the vibrations in the same room, and you can probably hear them outside of a closed door as well (depending on your door). You can’t hear it over your music while using the vibrator with headphones, but those around you could probably hear it.

As you can see by the design, the OhMiBod Original is a long and slender traditional vibrator. It’s made from hard plastic which has no give to it, so it really doesn’t seem like it was designed to be used for insertion. It certainly can if you want, but for most people, the best use for this traditional music vibrator will be for external use. The vibrator is easily long enough to hold onto while using it with no problem, and as the vibrations are pinpointed in the right place, this allows you to easily place the vibrations where you want them at that time. Due to the hard plastic, though, I don’t think that most people will find inserting this vibrator to be very pleasurable.

If you find that you enjoy the OhMiBod original, you may want to upgrade to one of the OhMiBod Freestyle vibrators. The Freestyle vibrators include better packaging, more sensitivity to the music, stronger vibrations, a silkier plastic material, and more options when it comes to customizing your vibrations to the music. The OhMiBod Original works fantastically as an introduction, but it also doesn’t compare to the OhMiBod Freestyle, so if you find that the OhMiBod Original has been a fantastic music vibrator for you, you might want to look into getting one of the Freestyle vibrators as well.

Cleaning the OhMiBod Original is pretty simple, but do keep in mind that the OhMiBod vibrator is not waterproof. While cleaning, keep water away from all of the battery compartment and other parts (like the base) to avoid harming the toy. You’ll want to clean it with adult toy cleaner or mild soap and water, and make sure to fully dry off your sex toy. As it’s plastic, it’s very simple to clean off. It’s compatible with all types of lubricant, and it fits really nicely into its storage pouch for long-term storage.

Overall, the OhMiBod Original is a cute vibrator that gives you an entry-level way into enjoying music with your vibrator. When you don’t want to use music, it also can be used without the music. It doesn’t have the features of the upper-level OhMiBod vibrators, but for those with a limited budget or those who only want to give it a try, the vibrator provides enough to give you a good idea of how the technology works.
