Nookii Confidential Game Review

Nookii Confidential Game
The packaging for Nookii

Nookii Confidential is an adult board game sold by TabuToys. This board game is another, more advanced version of the original Nookii game, but at the same time, it’s a completely different game, so don’t think you’ll get the same gameplay. You get 6 packs of cards, 2 dice, a door hanger, a timer, a flashlight, a UV pen, a blindfold, and lipstick.

The box for the Nooki game is unfortunately very, very hard to get open. The box is really gorgeous, and the tray on the inside of the box makes it very easy to keep all of the pieces of the set organized. We did end up having to tear a corner of the box in order to get the lid off, so it definitely can require a bit of effort and patience to open the box. The box is definitely sturdy cardboard, though, so you can place other games on top of it or place other items on top of it.

This is a two person game. It really was not intended for more than two people, but you COULD make it work in a large-group setting as long as everyone is comfortable doing sexual things in front of one another. The game also would require that people pair off into a man/woman pair as well. The cards are gender specific with male/female versions, but if you are a same-sex couple, you could both pick from the same side without any problems.

Everything that's included in the game

To play the game, each player starts off by picking a card from each one of their corresponding gender’s three difficulty piles. Just one card. All cards are unread and lay face-down. The dice is rolled, and whoever is highest goes first. They choose their Rendezvous card (the easiest level) and act out the card. The dice is rolled again to determine how long they must act it out, and the timer is set for that amount of time. Your partner then goes. You then move onto the Brief Encounter (medium level) and Undercover (hardest) in the same manner. When you both finish the Undercover cards, you’re finished! The game took us about 20-30 minutes each time we played it – it really depends on how long you take to set-up as well as how long the dice tells you to go for.

The lipstick is cherry flavored. It both tastes and smells very yummy! The lipstick is a bright, cherry red, so it looks best with cool skin tones for wearing. When not using it in the set, you could definitely wear it as actual lipstick. The instructions say that it’s only viable for three years, so don’t use it if you happen to keep that game for that long. It applies evenly, and the brand is Luoys Lipstick. It comes in a gold container with an easy-to-remove lid. The lipstick is used in a lipstick manner, but some of the activities also ask you to use it in a drawing-type manner.

My favorite aspect of this kit was the invisible pen and “torch”/flashlight. The invisible pen writes in, you guessed it, invisible ink. The “flashlight” is a multiple-purpose flashlight that does a lot of things. It works as an average flashlight, has a laser pointer on it, and it also has a UV light that exposes the invisible ink. This invisible ink/UV light set-up works amazingly, and the invisible ink can be written on the skin safely as well. A lot of challenges ask for you to write invisible ink on yourself and ask your partner to use the light to “find” it. The light lights it up amazingly, and I’m really impressed by the two of these. The flashlight requires 3 watch batteries, and DO make sure that you unscrew the battery compartment to remove the battery-blocking piece of paper before considering this faulty; there’s a piece of paper in the battery compartment to keep it from sucking away the battery life. It can be a bit of a pain to unscrew and screw the battery compartment, but you don’t have to do it often. The instructions recommend trying a spot-test in case of allergies before all-out play as well.

The door hanger is just an average door hanger. It has perforation to easily fit onto an average door, and one side says “Enter at your own Risk” while the other says “Keep Out”. I’m really not sure where you’d use these as any household which would need to use this would probably feel uncomfortable “announcing” that they’re having sex. At the same time, it could definitely feel “hotel-frantic sex” to hang this, so it could definitely be fun at the same time.

My biggest complaint with the first Nookii game was that the timer was *way* off. The timer was not accurate to time at all; I think it was almost three-times longer than actual time. However, with the digital timer, Nookii has made it much, MUCH more accurate, and yes, this timer is spot-on. There’s a “Minute” button, a “Second” button, and a “Start/Stop” button. The minute button adds minutes to the timer while the “second” button obviously adds seconds. The start/stop button starts and stops the timer. The display is clear and easy to read though it may be hard to read in the dark. There’s a slide-out battery tray, and this one takes watch batteries which can be replaced. It also comes with a neck strap to put it on one of your necks. My biggest suggestion for this timer would have been to include a stand for it so a couple could look-over at the timer easily in the middle of play. However, it’s definitely a vast improvement over the old one, and I like this one much more. (Plus, it has a ton of non-sex uses!)

The example cards and lipstick color

The scarf is made from a soft silk. One side of the scarf is red, and the opposite side is black. The ends are nicely sewn together, and it’s a really, really sexy color, and I must say that I like the colors. The scarf is not very much to work with, but you could definitely do a wrist or ankle restraint with this scarf very easily. It would not be enough to do too much more than that, though, but it does feel soft against the skin, and it’s fun to play with.

There are 6 packs of cards. Each pack has 15 cards which makes for a total of 90 different cards included in the game. The female cards are the red/pink color while the male cards are the darker purple/black color. Like the original Nookii, there are different “levels” of play. The “light” cards are the Rendezvous cards which are cards meant to “prepare” you for your fun. The Brief Encounter cards are “middle” cards meant for brief fun while the “Undercover” cards are the mission ending cards.

The cards are definitely neat, but I think a lot of the puns would make a lot of couples laugh and be unable to take it seriously. This is a fun way to make sex fun, but I did think they were a bit too cheesy. For example, “Pull down my pants and blow my cover” or “Position yourself for launch” or saying things like calling the penis the “top secret”. It can definitely get cheesy at times, and depending on what type of couple you are, this will either help lighten the mood or just made it a bit too silly to play. For us, we just went with it. It’s a bit fun to play the “secret agent”.

For us, the game didn’t really explore things that we hadn’t done before. After all, there was a lot of intercourse and oral sex. However, it did have the two of us playing roles that we rarely ever play, and the dialogue was definitely amusing at times. I wouldn’t say that it brought in different sex acts, but some of the things (drawing and sharing lipstick, being on a timer, the secret pen) were things we wouldn’t normally do, so it was definitely fun. The cards include doing things like lots of dirty talking (which is fun!), lots of kissing, oral sex, intercourse, and lots of foreplay with one another. It’s things that you’ve probably already done, but the game puts a new spin on it that makes it fun, sexy, and light-hearted.

Overall, if the two of you are okay with some semi-silly puns and no competition in your game, it’s definitely fun. However, I was expecting some sort of “try to discover their secret” game which wasn’t what this was, so I was slightly disappointed. However, they take the secret “agent” theme and try to base your sex scenes around it, and it can definitely be fun as long as you can get past some of the cheesy dialogue. Thanks to TabuToys for sending me this adult games for my Nookii Confidential review.
