Lovense Lush Mini Review

The Lovense Lush Mini and Lovense Lush 4 are hung on pegs next to one another. The Mini, which is on the left, is noticeably smaller in size. For my Lovense Lush Mini review.

If g-spot and egg vibrators have always looked tantalizing except for the thickness, this Lovense Lush Mini review is for you.

This wirelessly-controlled, g-spot egg vibrator is 1.22″ at the thickest point, providing g-spot sensations that are noticeably smaller than virtually all of the competition. 1.22″ is about the width of two fingers for those of you who want a finger comparison.

The Lush Mini comes complete with compatibility with the Lovense app, the wireless, long distance claim-to-fame functionality that made Lovense such a famous brand.

The Lovense Lush 4 Mini joins the full Lovense Lush line, offering the same features as the Lush 4 but in a smaller insertable diameter. If you’re not sure which Lovense Lush is for you, my Should I Upgrade to the Lovense Lush 4? article is exactly what you need to read.

Clad in silicone and with a waterproof design, the Lush Mini shares the same iconic look as other Lush toys. It offers about 4 hours of playtime off a single charge with a Rapid Charge feature that allows it to juice up for a full hour’s playtime in just 7 minutes of charging.

So, let’s get into this Lovense Lush Mini review. How does it compare to the Lovense Lush 4? Does it still offer the same g-spot sensation that those full-sized Lush toys are known for?

Front view of Lovense Lush Mini (on the left) and Lush 4 (on the right) next to one another. Both look virtually the same except the Lush Mini has a smaller insertable size. The insertable "shaft" is triangular in size with a swell towards the innermost spot that'll make for better g-spot contact.

Lovense Lush Mini Review: The Size

If you’re like me, you kinda “tolerate” sex toys of larger diameters. They require me to warm up with a mid-sized toy, and they require me to spend longer-than-desired times simply making sure I’m turned on and ready to stretch to a larger toy.

To be fair, the Lovense Lush 4 isn’t particularly wide. With a diameter of 1.46″, it’s actually slightly slimmer than the average biological penis. However, if you’re someone who doesn’t do a lot of penetration on the regular, that can feel like a decent stretch.

That’s exactly where I’m at. The 1.46″ diameter of the Lovense Lush 4 won’t tear me, but it does require a lot more prep work than I necessarily want to do most of the time. If I want g-spot pleasure, I’m probably pulling out my Biird Kalii or one of my other slimmer glass or stainless steel wands that are still slimmer than that 1.46″ diameter.

That’s why I’m pretty in love with this latest release from Lovense. The Lush Mini is noticeably slimmer in diameter than the Lush 4 with a diameter of 1.22″. It still features the exact-same g-spot curvature – just at a smaller overall diameter.

They pretty much just took their Lush 4 (and all of its features) and shrunk the vibrator down a little bit.

How Do the Lush Mini Specs Compare to the Lush 4?

The biggest difference between these two vibrators is just the insertable diameter. The Lush Mini‘s widest diameter is 1.22″ while the Lush 4‘s largest diameter is 1.46″. It’s only 0.2″, but in the world of insertables, that’s a pretty big jump. 1.46″ is an “average-sized dildo” while the Mini’s specs are “a diameter that can be somewhat hard to find in dildos”.

The Lush Mini’s insertable length is slightly shorter. It has a full insertable length of 3.79″. The Lush 4 is up at 3.94″. The tail length is also slightly shorter because of it, but it’s almost indiscernible.

The Lush Mini has a slightly lower battery life. There’s simply less space inside of the vibrator for a larger battery, so the battery in the Mini is slightly shorter. The Lush Mini will last you approximately 236 minutes while the Lush 4 will last you about 350 minutes.

Because of this, the Lush Mini charges up to full charge in 40 minutes while the Lush 4 takes 45 minutes.

With the smaller size, the Lush Mini is also 23% lighter (according to the official specs). It’s only 58g instead of the 4’s 75 g.

Both offer the same vibration intensity (7,000 vibrations a minute) with the same noise level (up to 36 dB).

Both are waterproof.

The built-in, usable features of both toys are exactly the same, but we’ll get to those here in a second.

Lovense Lush Mini Review: Impressive Features

The feature list for the Lovense Lush 4 was already impressive, and the Lush Mini simply copy-and-pasted those features into a smaller mini vibrator design.

The Lush 4’s features go above-and-beyond the now-typical “toy is waterproof and rechargeable” with some newer innovations:

  • Rapid Charging: The Lovense Lush Mini only takes 7 minutes to get enough juice to play for a full hour. To fill up the battery the rest of the way, it’ll take a lot longer, but this 7-minute-charge can be gold for anyone who often forgets to charge their toy before play.
  • Lighted Base: Crafted for a fun “light show” for anyone watching you use the toy, the 3 customizable lights on the base each have 7 vibrant colors that can reflect what you set them to (in the app). You can set up your own light patterns, or you can have the lights sync to the patterns or intensity, allowing anyone watching you to visually see what you’re experiencing.
  • Flexible, Formed “Tail”: The external tail that sticks outside of the body is much more formed than other g-spot vibrators. It stays in this general U shape, but it doesn’t poke or feel firm. This helps it slide between the labia comfortably, and it means that sitting on the vibe is actually pretty nice.

As I’ve said about the Lush 4, most of these new features are very targeted towards cam models and performers who have latched onto the Lush series as some of their favorite vibrators. There’s a reason these pink tails are so iconic; it’s because virtually all adult stars are using Lovense toys for their cam sessions.

That isn’t to say the average person won’t enjoy the Mini’s features, though:

Lovense Lush Mini Review: Using the Vibe

Let’s be fair though: if you’re picking up the Lush Mini, it’s probably because you care about its smaller size. The features are cool, and it’s better than if they aren’t there, but as the ONLY small g-spot egg vibrator in the Lovense line (and one of the few in the industry), you’re probably reading this Lovense Lush Mini review because you simply want a smaller g-spot toy.

And that, my friend, is what the Lovense Lush Mini excels at.

I’m still not really sure what wizard Lovense has hired to make these g-spot vibrators, but they work. I’ve never been closer to hands-free g-spot orgasms than when I use my Lovense Lush vibes. The 2 did it, the 3 did it, the 4 did it, and now the Mini does it. I still haven’t had those hands-free g-spot orgasms from the toy, mind you, but it’s so much closer than any other sex toy I’ve tried.

The Lush vibes are quiet, targeted, and powerful.

They can easily head out for public play, and I could sing ballads about how much I love the Lovense cell phone app. That continues with the Lush Mini. The Lovense Lush Mini connects with ease, responds to commands with ease, and doesn’t lose its signal.

My only complaint about the Lovense cell phone app is how often it signs me out. Since I use a secure password I can never remember, I always have to spend about 5 minutes re-finding the password before playing with a toy. A quick-play mode – or the ability to stay logged in – would dramatically increase how quickly I’m able to get started playing with a Lovense toy.

The Lovense Lush Mini’s vibrations are not, personally, strong enough for me for easy clitoral orgasm, but when they’re pressed up against the g-spot, I have literally no complaints. They feel surprisingly all-encompassing up there.

Lush Mini vs Lush 4: In-Person Trials

I will say: my g-spot misses the larger size of the 1.46″, full-sized Lush 4. My brain and my vaginal entrance do NOT miss that larger size, but the g-spot itself does. The larger, broader head of the Lush 4 simply had more material to press against the g-spot. It felt larger and more filling, and it pushed more weight onto the g-spot.

That being said, that Lush 4 came with downsides: namely, it was uncomfortable to get in, required a decent warm-up, and felt like a lot until it was already securely in my body.

The Lovense Lush Mini doesn’t have any of those issues. If I want to play with it, it can slide in. No extra warm-up required. No “making sure I’m extra turned on” required.

This has made the Lovense Lush Mini a godsend for our public and couple’s play. If I want to be teased out in public, I simply make sure I’m turned on at least a little bit, coat the Lush Mini in lube, and we’re good to go. With the Lush 4, going out required an actual masturbation session for about 30 minutes before we could comfortably slide the Lush 4 inside. That isn’t the case for the Lush Mini.

It has really opened up the world of easy public vaginal vibrators for us in a way that hadn’t really existed before. Before, it was a “time” if I wanted to wear one of these out. Now, it’s just a quick trip to grab some lube. Oh, it makes me so happy.

Now for the real test in this Lovense Lush Mini review: I’m trying both the Lush 4 and Lush Mini back-to-back. I own both, and they’re both on my desk, ready to go.

In my hands, they feel exactly the same. It’s actually kinda fun, really. They operate exactly the same way. The vibrations feel exactly the same. It’s like playing with a full-sized vibrator and its little Mini Me friend.

In my vagina, the Lovense Lush 4 feels ever-so-slightly more powerful. I can’t tell you why. It might be because the vibrator is larger and therefore transfers vibrations to more nerves. It might because the vibrations actually are slightly stronger. I really couldn’t tell you.

I can’t tell a difference in my hands (and I held both vibrators in a hand, back-to-back, on every default setting the toys have.) But it does feel like the Lush 4 is slightly more powerful on the highest steady setting.

That being said, it’s the slightest of differences. I wouldn’t choose the Lush 4 over the Mini over it. I wouldn’t even bet someone buying my morning coffee on it. It’s virtually immaterial, but it’s worth mentioning in case I need to reference it someday.

There is literally no difference in noise. It was a fun game, actually. My partner turned one on, sight unseen under a blanket, and I was asked to guess which one it was. I guessed correctly zero times. They are entirely indiscernible in noise level.

All that being said: vibrations are exactly the same in practice. The only thing that changes is the size of the vibrator.

Lovense Lush Mini Review: An Overpowered Cell Phone App

Screenshot of the Lovense app homepage. This view shows all of the easy-to-use options at a glance like Remote, My Patterns, Music, Alarm, and Sound. There are separate tabs for Home, Long Distance, Discover, and Me. A plus sign in the upper right hand corner allows for easy addition of toys to control. Screenshot for my Lovense Gush review.

Since the app is so vital to the experience of the Lush Mini – and I love TF out of the app, I figured I should tell you why the app is so freakin’ cool.

Really, the app is leaps and bounds beyond most other app-controlled sex toys. Satisfyer’s app is similar-esque, but the Satisfyer toys don’t have the same durability and nowhere near the same power as Lovense toys. We-Vibe’s app, another competitor, is rife with connection issues and doesn’t offer anywhere near the same level of functionality.

This checks out though: Lovense has made itself THE go-to name for online control with camsites, and their cell phone app matches that popularity. I’d assume Lovense has a pretty good developer budget for app development since so much of their claim to fame is because of its app.

That being said, the things I love most about the cell phone app:

  • You can control multiple toys at once. The Lovense Lush Mini is just one toy. If you happen to have a Lovense Gemini (nipple clamps) and a Lovense Ferri (clitoral vibrator), you can be pleasure 3 erogenous zones at once, all controlled by a single remote. This also means you can enjoy the Lush Mini while a partner wears their own sex toy, synchronizing the sensations of both toys to one another.
  • It features a discreet music player mode. I don’t like interacting with my cell phone while trying to have sex. It’s distracting. The Lovense phone app is a phone app, though. Lovense manages to make this less rough through their discreet music player. When the phone is on the lock screen, a faux music player shows, allowing you to pause/play the vibrations or cycle to other vibration patterns (next/previous track) from the lock screen, ensuring you don’t have to actually unlock the phone and get distracted by work.
  • It syncs to online adult games. There are very few app controlled sex toys out there that synchronize to a host of adult games. Lovense is one of them. They’ll even sync to the Wicked Whims mod for the Sims 4. (Most of their other sync’ed games are sex-specific games by niche companies.)
  • It’s streamlined and easy to understand. Once you’ve used a few Lovense toys, you know exactly where everything is. That isn’t the case with other manufacturers. Some rearrange what features are available (and where they are) based on what toy is connected. Everything is the same on the Lovense app no matter what toy you use.
  • It’s reliable. I’ve been going overboard on this, but I think it’s really important to note: the Lovense toys are ridiculously reliable. I don’t bother asking my submissive if the pattern I selected is working. I KNOW it is. This makes for seamless play where we can focus more on each other than trying to figure out if the toy is working how I want.
Screenshot of my phone's notifications dropdown. A basic music player is my only notification that states "Now Playing" with a pause, next track, and previous track option. This is actually, secretly, controlling the Gush it's attached to. Screenshot for my Lovense Gush review.

Final Thoughts: Lovense Lush Mini Review

The Lovense Lush Mini is kinda amazing. It’s everything you love about the Lovense Lush line but in a smaller size. It has the same power, noise level, and features as the full-sized Lush vibrators – just in a small diameter.

And if you know anything about the Lush sex toys, you know that they’re known for fantastic g-spot pleasure with a fully-featured, reliable cell phone app that makes them super fun to play with both at-home and in-public.

Really, zero complaints. Zero notes. The Lovense Lush Mini is an amazing addition to the Lovense line and pretty much a gift from heaven for anyone who prefers smaller diameter toys.

The Lovense Lush Mini is sitting on top of some greenery on top of a cheesecloth-textured backdrop. Harsh shadows fall on top of the greenery, giving long shadows that add visual interest to the shot. For my Lovense Lush Mini review.
