Now I’ve never been too much of a fan of intercourse because it’s just not my thing, but after hearing a lot about how amazing this pillow made other people’s sex lives, I had to try it.
Here’s a video review of the Liberator Wedge, but I warn you that this is not as serious as most of my video reviews are since it was just made as a supplement. If stuffed bunnies in compromisable positions bothers you, this is not the video for you:
The Liberator Wedge is pretty big compared to what I was expecting. It’s seven inches tall, twenty-four inches wide, and fourteen inches long. The foam itself is covered in a nylon cover that keeps out the liquid, and the nylon cover is covered in a microfiber cover that makes the pillow comfortable. The microfiber cover also makes it so the Liberator furniture pieces can stick to each other without sliding around. It’s very firm while still being comfortable and enjoyable to lay on. The microfiber cover is very soft, and it actually will get more soft after you clean it for the first time.
It’s comfortable enough to lean over, but I wouldn’t call it perfect by any means. If you’re a taller person, you’ll need to let your body fall onto it and it will hold your hips up, but you can’t just lean over it like you would for doggy style. It works great for holding up your hips for things like doggie style since it helps support the weight so it’s more comfortable.
It’s pretty discreet as well. Since other vanilla stores sell back pillows and whatnot, this Liberator Shape just ends up looking like one of those unless you keep it in its storage back with the half-naked chick side-out. It’s easy just to turn the design paper around and have the gift wrapping or just take out the paper completely. Either way, if you have guests, this does not scream “This is used for sex”. It just looks like a support pillow.
As a bigger girl, I was always avoiding purchasing this because I wasn’t sure if it’d squish under my weight or even be useful. I’m two-hundred and eighty pounds the foam doesn’t squish under my weight in the slightest. Plus, I bought the average size (there’s a “plus-size” that includes more width) and it fit me just fine, so most people will be perfectly fine with this average-sized Liberator Wedge.
Personally, I used this to lean my boyfriend over for BDSM activities. (Flogging, etc.) It works amazingly for that since it makes it feel like he has something to lean over so he can stay focused. When most spanking benches end up costing over five-hundred dollars, this is a great, cheap alternative to buying a spanking bench.
When used for sex, it’s just as great. I’ve never much enjoyed sex since it gets uncomfortable quickly, but with the Wedge, it’s actually a lot more enjoyable. Since it elevates the hips, penetration occurs at a much more comfortable angle and allows for g-spot stimulation as well. It actually makes sex pretty enjoyable and a lot more fun than it used to be. Quite a few different positions can be achieved with the Wedge, and most of those are shown in the video.
It’s also great if you’re single. For one, you can use it to raise your hips to make it easier to play with toys and hit your g-spot. For two, this still functions as a great pillow for vanilla activities such as taking a nap. (Plus, I’m still planning on making a giant Liberator castle when I get enough. Jor just shakes his head like I’m some sort of invalid every time I bring it up. :( )
The Wedge also comes with a position guide. It’s more accurately described as “a couple pictures” more than a guide, but it does show some of the main ways you can use this Wedge for pleasure. It mostly involves using it in different ways to position the hips for doggy style or missionary sex. You could also use it while putting your ankles around your partner’s shoulders or during oral sex. If it’s something that bothers you, it’s also possible to just use the Wedge as a pillow against your head while having sex so blood doesn’t rush to your head. It has many different uses, and your imagination and flexibility are really the only limits.
Cleaning is very easy. You just zip off the microfiber cover and throw it in the washer and dryer. Good as new (actually, better than new. It’s softer.) There’s an entire instruction page about washing it, so don’t be too nervous about it. It does recommend you wash it alone the first time in case the fabric bleeds, though. As for the nylon cover underneath; wiping that down with a wet washcloth should clean that up pretty quickly. There’s really no need to take that cover off.
Overall, I’m extremely happy with my Liberator Wedge purchase. It’s going to be a staple in our sex life and in our BDSM life. It’s so versatile for both (and a cuddle pillow) that I have no regrets about buying it. It’s really durable, and if I want to, I can purchase the Black Label conversion kit and have a Wedge with restraints, so I’m very happy with the purchase. I recommend it to any couple who would love to enjoy their sex life even more.
