The LELO Mona is a high-quality, luxury vibrator. It’s eight inches long and intended for either clitoral use or g-spot stroking from vaginal use. It has a regular diameter of about an inch and a quarter which most women will be able to use comfortably. It comes in both purple and red. There is a dual-stimulation version of the Mona called the LELO Ina which includes a specific clitoral attachment.
The Mona comes in an outer box that is really nice. The packaging is classy, discreet, and just shows a picture of the Mona with a list of the Mona’s features. Inside of the outer box is a plain, black box that will work for storage and is also amazingly discreet. Unlike LELO’s earlier generation toys, this doesn’t come with a plastic tray to house the Mona – it just comes with plastic that is impossible to store the Mona in after you take her out. However, she does sit in the box just fine. The box also includes the charger, the instruction book, the manual, and a black, satin carrying pouch in case you don’t want to keep this vibrator in the original box.
Now you see, me and Mona really like each other. When I tried the Ina a couple weeks ago, I was severely saddened by the ability to actually use the dual-stimulation, but I was amazingly intrigued by the strong vibrations of the toy (LELO usually isn’t known for strong vibrations – just nice toys.) With that in mind, I wanted the insertable version just to use it for its strong vibrations – and Mona provides that amazingly. Me and Mona really enjoy each other’s company. She’s high-quality, easy to clean, rechargeable, and works great for clitoral vibrations because she’s deep and strong – no buzzy surface vibrations. It isn’t as strong as the Hitachi of course, but when I’m using the Mona, I find myself using it without maxing out the vibration strength which is definitely unusual for most toys I use. (In fact, I liked Mona so much that I put off writing this review so she would stay next to my living-room chair for easy-access for use.)
The Mona worked okay for insertion. My g-spot seems to cause me much more of an issue than most women’s, so nearly no toys work for me for g-spot pleasure. Mona is no different. However, I will say that she’s easy to insert, and if this did hit your g-spot, the vibrations easily would carry through the body of the toy to make it strong enough for good vibrations for the g-spot. The toy is pretty firm. It seems to be that the silicone layer is the outer layer for an inner core like plastic or another material like that. This means that, while it does have a very, very slight squish to it, it doesn’t have much, and the silicone produces a drag that requires you use some lubricant (I’ve never been able to insert one of these silicone toys without using lubricant on the toy itself.).
As for some of the technical stuff: The Mona is a fully rechargeable sex toy which means no battery-hunting for you. She comes fully charged and ready for use but is locked. To unlock, you just have to press down all four buttons – no big deal. It takes two hours to fully charge the Mona from a dead battery and that charge should last you about four hours – about average. It has a stand-by time of about ninety days of no-use before the battery will be fully uncharged. There’s a charging port at the base of the Mona that has a covered silicone piece. You just plug in the charger and stick the cord into the base of the Mona. As far as I can tell, the Ina and Mona both use the same kind of charging cable.
The vibrations are easily controlled with the control panel on the base. There’s a +/- for the vibration strengths as well as an “up” and “down” to cycle through the different vibration patterns. The neat thing is that you can actually control the strength of the vibration patterns as well. Most cheaper vibrators don’t give you that freedom. I never had a problem accidentally pressing down buttons during use. I was impressed by the vibrations though – not only did I not want to use all of the vibration settings since I was okay on the medium ones, but I also was very impressed with the lowest setting. I would think I had shut off the toy, would set it on a table, and it would still be vibrating – that’s how nice and slow this one vibrates.
The settings on this one, like I said above, are strong enough to make me a happy person. They also go down really soft, but honestly, I normally skip through those settings. The patterns are all interesting, and while I pretty much ignore those too, some women will really have fun with adjusting the strength on the different patterns that Mona offers. The lower settings could not be heard while sitting in the same room while the highest setting could not, in any way, be heard through a closed door. With television or music playing, it couldn’t be heard in the same room either. So yes, this one is pretty strong AND quiet – I honestly can’t ask for much more from my vibrator. Would I enjoy more power? Yes. Because I love freedom of stronger power. Would I honestly use any more power than this one provides? Probably not on a regular basis, no.

Mona is splashproof but not waterproof. Do not take her in a deep sea adventure. She however can be cleaned without worrying too much about it. Water and antibacterial soap seems to clean her best. The silicone Mona’s made with doesn’t pick up much on the fuzzy level, so it can be stored pretty much anywhere you want to store it. I keep mine in the black storage bag inside of the original box. Since this toy is made from silicone, you should only use water-based lubricant to keep it safe.
The LELO Mona works amazingly for clitoral stimulation, and while it’s not my favorite as a g-spot toy, I really enjoy it for clitoral use – it’s definitely one of my favorite vibrators right now. It’s soft, sleek, and looks classy and professional instead of cheap or trashy. Since she’s rechargable, you don’t even have to purchase batteries. However, if you require really strong vibrations to orgasm, Mona probably isn’t the best one for you. However, for everyone else, I can’t see a reason against her.
