The Lelo Luna Beads are vaginal exercisors sold by FunWares. These are some of the more unique ones on the market because they are luxury toys as well as the beads of the vaginal exercisor are interchangeable. It comes with three pieces – a composition girdle that holds the two balls together, a pink set of beads, and a blue set of beads. In each set, there’s a bead that includes a long string and that string is intended for extraction. The girdle is made from silicone while the beads are made from plastic with a small rubber ball that moves around inside for extra sensation. The pink balls each way 28 grams while the blue balls, the larger of the two, weigh 37 grams each.
Like all other Lelo products, the packaging is very classy. The outer box is all white, says “Lelo” in a beautiful font on the front, and shows a picture of the beads on the backside with a collection of the features. Inside of this white box, there’s a pure-black box. That has a lid to it. When you lift the lid, the Luna Beads are sitting in a black tray – the pink beads inside of the box are sitting inside composition girdle. The blue ones are just resting in the tray. Underneath the tray, there’s a white satin storage baggie, instructions, and the warranty information.
Switching out the beads is easy. You just push out the beads that are already in the girdle, slip in whichever stringed bead you want (making sure to thread the string through the string hole) then chosing whichever other bead you want in the back. The instruction guide recommends mixing and matching or just choosing to use one bead instead of two – whatever makes it most comfortable for you.
Insertion is just as easy. Since the silicone girdle is made from silicone, you should only use water-based lubricant. You put a small dab of the lubricant on the toy (not too much or it gets difficult to hold internally), then slip the non-string-ed bead in first, then the stringed bead. The instructions say that it just takes some relaxation and that you shouldn’t force it to come faster than it should. The beads should sit comfortably where you’d normally use a tampon with the string hanging out for easy removal when you are finished. If you are using the Luna Beads for vaginal muscle improvement, the instructions say it may take at least twelve weeks to see an improvement in your muscles. Needless to say, that’s longer than most companies would probably allow me to take to review it, so I’ll give you my version of it all.
The beads feel pretty pleasurable. I’ve tried some other vaginal exercisors with inner, moving balls before, but none of them seem to have the same amount of movement that the Luna beads do. This is definitely something you will “feel” while using it, and it easily has run me into giggles a couple times. It just feels so odd the first couple times you put it in, but after you get a bit used to the sensation, it just ends up being a turn-on. Mostly because the movement of the beads and the muscles attempting to hold in the beads calls extra attention to your genital area that you may have ignored in the past. It feels stimulating, and while I can only use the pink beads comfortably, I’m sure the blue beads would provide just as much of an experience.
The neat thing about this sex toy is that it’s so discreet. Really. Other toys can claim discreet, but when something is *in* your vagina, it’s pretty hard to beat. The string just sticks like a regular tampon string would, and that’s extremely easy to hide. This means this is something you could wear out to the grocery store (and feel naughty) or other public places. I do recommend you make sure you’ve worn it around the house first to know what your body can handle though. (It’d be bad if you found out that you can’t quite “hold in” the blue balls in the middle of the supermarket.) The balls are amazingly quiet – it’s hard to hear them holding in your hands much less when inserted. There’s no way someone would be able to hear these once they are inserted – no way at all.
In the couple days that I’ve been using them, I can’t say that I’ve seen an amazing improvement to my vaginal muscles, but I’ve seen an improvement to my sex drive! Having them there provides a unique, interesting sensation that keeps me moving, squirming around, and other things. (I’m sure I’m losing more calories than usual too since I’ve been moving around a lot more just to feel the Luna Beads move around.) Since the instructions say it might take up to to twelve weeks to see a noted improvement in muscles, I have to say that I’ll probably have to wait until then. I’m still pretty young, so my vaginal muscles haven’t be harmed by childbirth or anything, but it’s still neat to give a sex toy like this a try.
Not all vaginal exercisors include the inner rolling ball. That’s one of the reasons that this is so pleasurable. The inner rolling ball moves around when you do, and youc can feel the ball moving around while doing everyday things. If you get a kick out of doing things in public, this is a great way to have your “fun” without letting everyone else in on it. After use, you just relax, remove them, and clean them. There doesn’t seem to be a time “limit” on using the Luna Beads but the instructions recommend you use the beads for at least thirty minutes a day for the best results.
To clean the Luna Beads, take the beads out of the girdle and use warm water and antibacterial soap to clean the set. After it dries, you can store it back in the original package or you can store it in the satin bag. The instructions clearly state not to use this during pregnancy.
Overall, the Luna Beads are probably my favorite vaginal exercisor that I’ve tried so far. It provides interesting sensations, allows for me to move around and experience pleasure, and gives two different weights to allow you to “move up” in weights once you can handle one.
