LELO doesn’t seem to make the LELO Bob anymore. I still recommend the FunFactory Bootie as a fantastic beginner anal plug. – April 2019.
Bob is a luxury men’s prostate toy produced by Lelo and sold by Babeland Sex Toys. It’s made of 100% body-safe silicone, just like the rest of the Lelo toys, and is intended for use anally to stimulate the prostate in men. The Bob is part of the Lelo Homme series and is sold in a gorgeous, “masculine”, navy blue. This prostate toy is about four inches long and is only a little over an inch in diameter at the widest point. The toy’s weight focuses mostly in the “tip” of the toy near where the largest diameter is to press up against the prostate. There’s a ring at the end of the prostate toy to help in use and retrival as well as the Lelo name is etched into the base of this sex toy.
The packaging is just as gorgeous as all Lelo packaging. The sex toy’s storage box comes sitting inside of another cardboard box that is in a nice, navy blue color. The backside of the packaging is white and shows the Bob as well as details of what the Bob toy can do. Inside of the blue box sits the actual cardboard box where the Bob sits – it’s black and very discreet. The lid can be lifted off then the Bob sits in a plastic tray and is held in place by a piece of formed plastic on top as well. Underneath the tray where the Bob sits lays a satin pouch for storage as well as the instruction guide.
Honestly, I was a little surprised when I first took it out of the box. For one, it’s much lighter than I expected – it’s pretty much weightless when compared to some of the other plugs we’ve used like Njoy ones. For two, it’s just downright smooth. Like “my fingers don’t really know they’re touching something” smooth. It feels luxurious and just makes me want to sit here and pet it – not put it up the boyfriend’s bum. And for three, the little finger ring on the end seemed a little small for my conscious – it’s about the size of the widest point in the plug.
Sliding the Bob in was easy for us. It’s really not all that large of a plug – this is something that someone with even small amounts of anal experience could use without any sort of a problem. We had no problem covering it with lubricant and inserting it – the little ring on the end actually make it extremely easy as well since it made it easily to hold. We did it together as a couple, but because of the ring, it’d make it really easy to do it by yourself as well.
While I have to say that we didn’t find that much use as a “prostate toy” for us, it seemed to work amazingly as a regular anal plug. I feel like it was too light-weight to really apply the prostate pleasure on its own without help. However, because of the small neck of the plug and the firmness of the silicone at the tip, I actually ended up using it to push up against his prostate and stroke it manually instead of relying on the plug it do it itself. However, when it comes to regular uses, we’ve been tending to use this just as a regular anal plug instead of something just to see some prostate pleasure.
We found that, as a plug, it seems to be pretty comfortable. The neck of the plug is flexible while the head of the plug isn’t which makes for some good pleasure while still being comfortable during movement. We found that we could completely have sex, have him move around, and sit down without this slipping out or becoming uncomfortable. The little handle fit perfectly between his cheeks for sitting and standing. Really, I can’t find a fault for it as a butt plug – it’s just as a prostate stimulator where it fell a little short.
The Bob can only be used with water-based lubricant since it’s a silicone toy. Silicone-based lubricant will harm it. The silicone doesn’t seem to pick up many fuzzies, so this seems to be perfectly fine to leave out, but I store mine in the original packaging. To sterilize it, it can be boiled for three minutes, or if you don’t want to sterilize it, warm water and antibacterial soap cleans it also. Jor has found that leave it in some water overnight seems to minimize the smell that comes with anal play, and so far, it does seem to be working.
Overall, it’s now a plug we use regularly for our collection. We still love the Bootie quite a bit, and the Bootie gets pulled out for “solo” use, but the Bob gets pulled out more for a together experience. Because of the ring at the end, it makes it much easier for me to get involved in the fun as well. Babeland, a sex toy store, sells this anal toy for men, so go pick up the Lelo Bob today.
