Since I’m a huge fan of discreet sex toys, the Kokeshi Girl Doll vibe was a great choice for me. When Vibrator.com offered it up to me for review, I just couldn’t say no. I own some of Big Teaze Toy’s I Rub My Duckies, and they work great as well. There’s nothing quite as amusing as knowing that your regular house decor has a “fun” job on the side.
The Kokeshi Girl Doll vibe is about five inches tall and is made of plastic. It’s shaped in the fashion of a Japanese trinket since this toy was meant to be discreet in Japan. The Kokeshi girl vibe is meant to look like a Kokeshi girl from Japan. She has a cute, short hairstyle with a flower in it and is wearing a peach-colored robe with a cute ribbon shown on the back. This discreet vibrator comes in an adorable cylindrical package that makes the toy look just as classy as it really is. It includes an instruction manual as well as a promotional guide to Big Teaze Toy’s other adult toys. It also gives you the link to their website.
The Kokeshi Girl Doll takes two AA batteries. It doesn’t come with any. The bottom of the vibrator is a pain in my butt. It’s near-impossible to twist off using only your hands, so be prepared to pull out the tools. (Neither the boyfriend or I could twist off the battery compartment with just our hands.) We ended up using needle-nose pliers to open it up.
To turn the vibrator on or off, you just have to press down on the doll’s tummy. It can be a little difficult to push, but it’s nowhere near as bad as the other Big Tease Toys are. The Kokeshi Girl Doll has three separate vibration settings: Low, Medium, and High. You have to scroll all the way through the vibrations to get back to the “off” setting again. The vibrations are focused in the body of the vibrator – the head just channels the vibrations. If you are having problems pushing in the buttons, put on thumb on the switch then push down that thumb with the other thumb.
The vibration settings are all virtually quiet. They are probably among the quieter vibrations that I’ve heard with a discreet vibrator. These wouldn’t be able to be heard through a closed door – and certainly not if the vibrator was under the blankets.
Something odd: I tightly the battery cap all of the way, and it was pretty quiet for vibrations if held upright, but if turned upside down, the vibrator would start to rattle – like the batteries weren’t being held in right. It didn’t affect the speed of the vibrations – just annoying is all.
For use, I recommend you hold the doll’s head and push the doll’s backside into the spot you’d like to use it. Then you still have the push button available as well as a handle-hold. Because of the soft, slick texture of the plastic, I’m a little concerned that, if you went overboard on the lubricant, you may not be able to hold the vibrator. I had a difficult time pressing in the doll to change the settings if the vibrator had lubricant on it.
The Kokeshi Girl Doll vibe is actually waterproof as well. As long as the battery compartment is completely sealed, I didn’t have a problem running it under water. It doesn’t seem to have minded being submerged either, but I only tried it for a couple minutes.
Overall, if you want to expand your collection and make it discreet, this is a cute addition. I know I’ll be keeping this sitting around the living room. It’s always fun knowing you have sex toys hidden in plain sight. Buying the Kokeshi Girl Doll Vibe is extremely easy.
