UPDATE JULY 2023: This riding crop is no longer in production. However, Ruff Doggie Styles, as a company, is still around and making beautiful impact play toys. While you’re here, why not check out some additional educational info – like online submissive tasks, beginner pegging positions, saran wrap bondage, and enema 101 info.
The Just Desserts Cupcake Crop is a leather, suede, and nylon riding crop. It’s pink and black in design, and it features a cupcake as the crop’s tip. It’s two feet long, and it features a hanging and wrist strap at the top of the handle. At the widest point, the cupcake crop tip is about three inches in width.
The Just Desserts Cupcake Crop doesn’t come in any particular packaging. Good Vibrations packaged it wonderfully, and the crop made it to me with no harm. There is a tag that hangs off of the base of the crop that shows the cupcake crop and talks a bit about it, but the tag is extremely easy to remove. That’s all the packaging that the Just Desserts Cupcake Crop includes.
The Just Desserts Cupcake Crop is manufactured by Ruff Doggie Styles. As most people who know me will attest, I’m in love with Ruff Doggie Styles products. This is because their products are always unique, and their products almost always last amazingly. (I’ve had one crop fall apart, but aside from that one crop, my 20 other items from them have stayed together wonderfully, and they last.) I absolutely love having unique kink toys that stand out from what everyone else has.
The Just Desserts Cupcake Crop has a pretty basic design. It is just a regular crop with a cupcake tip on the end of the crop. The shaft of the crop is covered with nylon while the handle of the crop is made with woven leather. The tip of the crop is made with suede and leather. The tip is relatively floppy, and the nylon shaft is also pretty flexible as well. I’ve pushed, pulled, and used this crop often, and I also don’t think that the Just Desserts Cupcake Crop’s shaft is going to come apart from the handle like some of my crops break. The cupcake crop tip is made from multiple layers of suede and leather as well as some cut-out areas where the “heart sprinkles” are, so you will get a varying texture when being struck with the cupcake crop.
For wielding, the Just Desserts Cupcake Crop works really well. The shaft of the crop is flexible without being too flexible which allows to get the “hit” in with a bit of momentum without causing too much pain or being too unwieldy. The handle of the crop is made of woven leather which has a nice texture that keeps the crop from flying out of your hands. It’s light-weight enough that repeated hits are very easy, and honestly, I just feel a bit bad-ass while wielding a little cupcake. :)
If you’re struck with this crop, it surprisingly doesn’t hurt as much as you think it would. Instead, because of the floppiness of the tip of the crop, the crop will make quite a bit of noise (easily heard through a closed door with a good swat) instead of making a bunch of pain. It sounds like it would hurt, but as long as you have someone who knows what they’re doing (and is hitting with you the tip of the crop like they’re supposed to and not hitting you with the shaft of the crop), the crop is slightly stingy, but it really doesn’t hurt all that much unless you hit very roughly or in the same spot for long periods of time. You can “make” it hurt, but with regular, normal use, it really is not one of the most painful crops out there. It actually is pretty beginner-friendly.
To clean this, you’ll want to use a slightly damp washcloth. It’s not recommended that you use soap as soap and leather don’t really play well together. Instead, just wipe it down and allow it to dry. Because you can’t really sterilize this, if it draws blood or touches bodily fluids, it must be considered fluid-bonded. For storage, the hanging strap on the handle of the crop can hold the crop upright on any hanging area, and I find that to be the best storage method.
Overall, the Just Desserts Cupcake Crop is a fantastic crop that is cute yet sturdy. I don’t think that the crop is going to fall apart anytime soon, and it seems like it’s made with quality in mind. It’s very easy to wield (though you have to be careful with the floppy tip), and while it makes a loud noise, it’s not the most painful crop out there which makes it good for beginners who may be picking this up because of the cute design. Thanks to Good Vibrations for providing this pink riding crop for my Just Desserts Cupcake Crop review.
