Jopen Intensity Review

Jopen Intensity
Jopen Intensity

UPDATE: NOVEMBER 2022: The Jopen Intensity does not seem to still be in-production. The design, however, may have been sold off to medical companies as some seem to sell something eerily the-same aside from a color change.

The Jopen Intensity is a revolutionary rabbit vibrator that uses electrostimulation to provide pleasure while also strengthening your pelvic muscles. This innovative electrostimulation rabbit vibrator is made by Jopen. The rabbit vibrator is about a foot long, and it has a diameter of slightly over an inch with the ability to expand through its inflation technology. It requires four AAA batteries for use, and it is made from pure silicone. The vibrator also comes with Electrode Gel, an instruction manual, and a storage box. The Jopen Intensity is also not waterproof.

The packaging for the Jopen Intensity is pretty. It comes in a purple box that says “Jopen Intensity” on it. This box includes some pieces of foam inside to house the toy, and it also has a cardboard slipcover that explains the features of the rabbit vibrator. The box seems pretty sturdy, and I imagine it will do a good job of keeping your vibrator safe from harm. However, the foam inside the box also seems to shed a bit too. I’m not sure why it sheds onto the toy, but the shaft seems to stay pretty shed-free. It’s mostly the handle that seems to get the little foam pieces on it. The longer I’ve had the Intensity, though, the less it seems to shed, so it’s getting better.

The innovative thing about the Jopen Intensity is that it uses electrostimulation to be pleasurable as well as stimulate and tighten your vaginal muscles. The scientists were researching a way to use electrostimulation to tighten pelvic muscles, and what they found was that women were also experiencing pleasurable orgasms as well! With that in mind, the scientists came to Jopen to build a sex toy that would utilize the pelvic muscle electrostimulation in an orgasmic way to strengthen your muscles.

The Jopen Intensity has a very bulky-looking design. The base of the toy is even larger than the insertable portion of the toy, and there is a whole lotta toy to hold onto while using this electrosex sex toy. The large bulkiness of the base doesn’t get in the way too much, but it feels more like a medical device while using it than a sex toy. It did for me until I got used to it. You do have to realize that the larger-than-average base of the Intensity does a lot of functions though! It controls the vibration portion, controls the inflatable shaft and the quick-release function, and it controls the electrostimulation that this rabbit vibrator gives off. The base feels really comfortable in your hands, and since you won’t be doing too much heavy thrusting of this one, it really doesn’t matter too much as to how large it is.

At first, I will definitely admit that I was annoyed that the Jopen Intensity is battery-operated. For the price tag, it really feels like it should be rechargeable since all vibrators in this price point actually are. After seeing a thread with discussions with the Jopen manufacturers, though, it turns out that they did this on purpose with the consumer in mind. The medical version of thing device is rechargeable, but it also retails at $600. By making it battery-operated, they gave it a longer battery life (8 and a half hours!) and made it much, much more affordable. Jopen is already looking into the Jopen Intensity 2 though, and they’re looking to make it rechargeable, so here’s to seeing some future changes in the design!

Before you start to use your Jopen Intensity vibrator, you’ll want to make sure that you have read the instructions. First off is that you should NEVER turn on the electrostimulation until this vibrator is fully inserted. It could end up giving you an unpleasant shock. You also shouldn’t use this on irritated or infected skin or if you are pregnant or have a pacemaker. It also is not intended for oral or anal use as it was not tested for those purposes.

Before you begin, it’s pretty easy to get everything ready after you’ve read the instructions. You just want to insert the four AAA batteries into the shaft. They are very easy to insert. You then want to cover the electrode pads with electrode gel. That’s pretty simple to do too. Then cover the rest of the shaft with water-based lubricant. You then should turn it COMPLETELY off and insert it. From there, get it comfortable and pump up the shaft to the best wideness for you. You then can start experimenting with the vibrations and electrostimulation. I find that using the vibrations as a warm-up first before starting with the electrostimulation tends to work best as a warm-up and to get your body ready.

The Jopen Intensity is extremely easy to control. Despite having such a large base, everything is very well-placed, and it feels natural to your controls. My favorite feature is the fact that everything is “upside down” when you’re holding it, but when it’s inserted, everything is right-side up (so the arrow pointing away from your vagina is the increase arrow). This makes everything very easy to control. While holding the base, you can easily increase the vibrations and you can easily view the base of the sex toy to see what “setting” you’re on. There are red back-lit lights that show which setting your vibrator is on, and there’s a red back-lit light that always is on to show you if your vibrator is turn on or not. (I LOVE this addition as I like being able to easily check and see if it’s turned on or off.) You also can easily reach the base of the vibrator to “squeeze” it which will pump up the shaft’s diameter.

I’m sure everyone is curious about the electrostimulation of the Jopen Intensity. It certainly is unique. I’ve never really tried anything like it. Yes, I’ve tried electro-stimulation in the past, but it’sn ever been anything in a rabbit-vibrator form. To be honest, I was pretty terrified. It looks clinical, and electrostimulation isn’t a “regular” stimulation for me yet. After hearing about Antipova and other reviewer’s great results, though, that terror turned to curiosity and excitement.

So how did it turn out? I don’t know if it’s for me. Out of the ten electro-stimulation levels, the first one is okay for me (it’s like a slight twitch of your insides). The second feels a bit more intense, but anything past the second is just not for me. It’s actually too intense, and it doesn’t end up feeling sexually pleasurable for me. I’ve tried it with lots of lubricant, little lubricant, the electrode gel that comes with it, fully inflated, fully deflated, and all of the options I can think of; I just can’t get above the second setting for electrostimulation. This may be because of my IUD (which is a copper IUD) disliking playing with another electro-stimulation device. (We’ve used electro-stimulation toys before, but they usually aren’t as long as the Jopen Intensity) The first two levels are okay, though, and those are what I have been using for the most part. It’s almost like a very slight massage of your muscles. It feels pretty good, but in order to get the orgasmic results that others have talked about, I think I would need to try and get it up to higher settings.

The vibrations are okay as well. I actually would regularly pull out the Jopen Intensity for the first and second levels of electrostimulation (to tighten my pelvic muscles) regularly if the vibrations had a slight bit more oomph. The vibrations aren’t horribly loud (they can’t be heard over porn), but they can easily be heard in the same room. It really depends on how you are holding the rabbit stimulator. At certain angles, it gets louder than others. The vibrations themselves are buzzy, and they are on the softer end of moderate. The vibrations alone would not be enough for orgasm, so to use this on a regular basis (which I’m hoping to do), I’ll be using another toy with it. If Jopen chooses to make a second version, I hope that the Intensity can include some stronger vibrations – especially as the other Jopen toys do have some good-strength vibrations in them.

What about the price? That’s what seems to give people sticker shock at first glance. Well, the FDA-approved, non-sexual, medical-version runs about $500, so you’re saving money there. A good-quality, electrostimulation intended for NON-sexual use will run you from $130-$200 on average, and it goes up from there. Silicone-quality rabbit vibrators can run from $60-$150. So when you put all of those numbers together, the price of the Intensity doesn’t seem all that far-fetched. Yes, it costs more than your average rabbit vibrator, but your average vibrator doesn’t usually include electro-stimulation. It seems about on-par for an electro-stimulation sex toy.

Cleaning this vibrator is a bit of a pain because of how the silicone can expand and that this sex toy is not waterproof. Do NOT have this sex toy on while cleaning it. Take out the batteries if you want to be extra safe. I recommend inflating the shaft fully to clean it and get the lubricant off of it. It’s not waterproof, so you can’t submerge it, so I just used a damp washcloth to wipe down the surface of the Intensity. The Jopen Intensity is only compatible with water-based lubricant as well, and as it’s an expensive toy and comes with pretty packaging, I recommend you keep it in the storage box.

I only have one opinion though – out of many. I’m actually jealous of other women who have had fantastic experiences with this. Tuesday says that she feels very, very noticable difference in her kegel muscles and that this is one of the best ways to improve your kegel muscle strength. Antipova says that using the Jopen Intensity is one one long, everlasting orgasm. With responses like that, I’m so jealous, and I imagine that this sex toy will be some women’s dream come true.

Overall, I say that you should check out reviews over the Jopen Intensity before you purchase. I’m pretty awesome, but everyone’s body is different, and for a toy of this price (and for such “non” traditional type of stimulation), you want to know what you’re getting into. From my personal opinion, though, this one just wasn’t for me. As you can see by other reviews I quoted though, other people have had world-shattering experiences with it, so read over reviews, and if you want to try something out of the norm, I do recommend it. It’s good-quality, and if the stimulation is pleasurable for you, you may never leave your bed.
