The “Ice Man” Adult Ice Luge Mold is a one-time use Ice Luge Mold that makes a giant shape of a penis that is sold by TabuToys. There is also a “Ice Rack” Adult Ice Luge Mold as well. The box contains the plastic shell needed to freeze the ice into the correct shape for the Ice Luge.
The packaging is pretty much what will keep this mold safe when you’re not using it. The mold itself can’t actually “stand up” on its own, so keeping it in the box will keep anything from crushing it, and it will keep the mold safe. As a note, the packaging does pretty clearly display the shape and the mold of what’s held inside, so you’re going to want to make sure to hide this from children or guests if you don’t want anyone knowing that you own it. The mold itself is very light-weight, though, so this can be stored virtually anywhere aside from the considerations to who can see it.
Basically, the “Ice Man” Adult Ice Luge Mold is going to make an ice sculpture with a hole through it. This hole will allow you to pour your drink through the body of the ice sculpture. The ice itself is relatively cold, but the drink doesn’t change too much in temperature through pouring it through the Ice Luge. The point is, actually, for someone to pour a drink into the top of the sculpture and for another person to drink out of the tip of the penis. The Ice Luge basically acts as a huge straw – and since it’s made from ice instead of an actual material, when you’re done with it, it just melts away and you don’t have to worry too much about storing a huge penis away from prying eyes. Do be aware that the “Ice Man” Adult Ice Lug Mold is a one-time use item, though, so you’ll only have to store it up until when you use it.
Making the “Ice Man” Adult Ice Luge Mold isn’t difficult, but I do recommend making sure you have space in your freezer. We have a top-compartment freezer (like 2/3 fridge, 1/3 freezer), and this Ice Luge does take up, easily, half of the freezer room in our freezer. Since it will have to go into the freezer to actually freeze, you’ll want to make sure that you have that room available. Along with that, you’ll want to make sure that you start this freezing process about three days in advance – just to account for anything that can go wrong with it.
For those who are curious, the process to make the “Ice Man” Adult Ice Luge Mold isn’t difficult, but it does take some time. You’ll first want to fill the mold 2/3 full with water. Distilled water will make clearer ice if you want it to look more see-through. You then will freeze it for 24 hours. After that’s done, you then fill it to the top with cold water and freeze for another 24 hours. So that’s at least 2 days so far with your Ice Luge item.
After that, it’ll be pretty frozen and ready to go. You then will remove it from the freezer and let it acclimate to the outside temperature. You then will want to use a utility knife or scissors to cut along the seam of the mold to release the ice. If you have imperfections, you can scrape them smooth or buff them with a wet towel. You then pull out the straw that runs the length of the Luge (which kept the opening open for liquid to pour through). After this, you place it back into the freezer until it’s time to use it for your party.
When you take it out of the freezer, you’ll want to put it on a stable, flat surface that can absorb some liquid. We didn’t think that far ahead, and we did have some puddling going on. The instructions recommend black accessories as the ice will look wonderful up against black, and it also recommends LED lights near or under the luge as, again, they will look beautiful through the ice. If possible, only pour cold liquids through the Penis Ice Luge as warmer liquids are going to melt it. According to the instructions, your Penis Ice Mold should last at least 4 hours. I didn’t specifically time it when we used the mold, but it easily outlasted the main portions of the party itself, so it definitely was longer than four hours.
After we were done, we just placed the luge into the sink, and overnight, it melted and there was really no clean-up to it (aside from the puddle that we let happen since we forgot that ice would melt in the first place).
The Penis Ice Luge was definitely a hit at the party! Everybody loved it, and we kept it out in an easily-visible place that most people saw when they first walked through the door. Everyone was really amazed by it, and despite it getting a bit droopy towards the end of the night, it still held up really well to the entire party, and it looked fantastic. If we do it again, I think I’d like to try it with the instruction’s suggestions of putting it with an LED light as I think it’d look amazing. I think I might want to use food coloring to tint the water color too.
Overall, the “Ice Man” Penis Adult Ice Luge Mold definitely spices up a bachlorette party or a regular party. It’s pretty easy to make (but it does require some forethought), and it really was the hit of our party. I only wish that it was reusable, but I understand that most people probably won’t use these regularly also, so I see why it’s disposable.
