The I Rub My Duckie Travel-Size Hoodie Kitty is a small, plastic vibrating duck vibrator made by Big Teaze Toys. It’s about three inches in length and about three inches tall. This little vibrating duck comes with a removable fabric hat, and it’s the first in the series of the new Furry Hoodie collectable vibrators.
The packaging for this I Rub My Duckie Hoodie Kitty vibrator is honestly pretty frustrating. It’s adorable to look at in the packaging, but once you actually want to get at the little duck, it can be a pain to actually get it out. You first have to open both ends of the box, and after that, the duck is stuck to the bottom of the packaging with some ties underneath. Once you deal with that, you have to take the duck out, and get the hoodie off. The hoodie itself is kept on with adhesive on the head, but the annoying part is the see-through rubber band around the vibrating duck ‘s neck. This band is very, very tightly attached to the to the neck, and it’s near-impossible to get it removed from the duck by yourself. I had to ask the boyfriend to come help me. I recommend trying to pull it away from the toy while the other person cuts. Don’t try to get it straight off of the duck’s neck by one side of the scissors as my poor ducky has some battle wounds now.
My favorite aspect of this adorable hoodie duck vibrator is the fact that it does include the little hat. This little hat includes little kitty whiskers, little kitty ears, and little pom-pom balls that fall beside the vibrating duck ‘s head. When you receive your vibrating duck, the hoodie includes some adhesive to keep it on its head as well as a clear rubber band that keeps the pom-poms near the duck’s neck. Once you remove the kitty hoodie (yes, it’s removable!), it will stick on the vibrating duck ‘s head, but it won’t stick nearly as nicely as it had in the beginning. It still stays on, but it doesn’t fully form to the duck’s head like it used to.
For use, you’ll probably want to take off this little vibrating duck ‘s hat. This hat is made from fabric, so it probably will not take kindly to bodily fluids. The duck itself is entirely made of a hard plastic, so it is rigid and does not have any sort of give to it. The paint doesn’t seem to be flaking off at all, and the little duck itself does have some extra “texture” around the wings and the bum area that can help make holding this little vibrating duck a bit easier.
The vibrations are more surface vibration than deep, rumbly vibrations. The vibrations are loud enough to be heard in the same room, but depending on your home, you probably won’t be able to hear it outside of a closed door unless things are very quiet. The vibrations are on the lower side of moderate, and the biggest issue is that they don’t seem to transfer through the plastic as strongly as they could. It’s almost like the plastic muffles them a bit. This leads to the vibrations not feeling nearly as strong as I feel like they should feel.
Something to really keep in mind is that this vibrating duck appears to have been created for adorable-ness first and usage-second. It does work as a vibrator, but the main purpose of this adorable vibrator appears to be well, being adorable. It’s cute to know that this adorable white duck is really meant to go near your “private parts”, and that’s the angle that this toy is really made from. Yes, it vibrates, but don’t expect it to be the most almighty sex-toy ever! It’s really one of those toys that’s meant to get people talking or make someone who’s uncomfortable be more comfortable with the idea of a vibrator.
The I Rub My Duckie with Hoodie is also waterproof as well! He floats…sorta. He does rise to the surface of the water, but he also tends to fall sideways and lay sideways in the water. Poor duckie. It does make the duck easy to locate in the water if you are using this vibrator in the water though.
As a vibrator, it does alright. The control structure, as I’ve had problems with the travel-sized vibrating duck s in the past, just needs a different system. It uses a small turn-dial that is actually indented into the base of the duck, so it can be a bit hard to turn with long fingernails. With my fingernails short like they are right now, it turns without a second thought (I broke my nails!), but when my nails are longer, it can be an issue.
The other issue is how exactly do you hold this litle plastic, vibrating duckie? The vibrations themselves appear to be focused in the body of the toy towards the butt of the duck. You could shove this poor duck’s face into yourself, but the vibrations don’t transfer well there. For best results, I’ve found that the base of the duck (near the controls) and the tail end of the duck tend to work the best for actual use and transferring of the vibrations.
To clean this vibrator, as it’s waterproof, you just want to wash it down with warm water and antibaterial soap. It’s compatible with all types of lubricant, but if you want to use it in the bath, you may want to use silicone-based lubricant for the most slipperyness. As it’s plastic, it can be stored anywhere, but unless you tape the little hat on, be aware that the hat falls off pretty easily.
Overall, the I Rub My Hoodie Ducky is an adorable toy, but make sure you’re really in love with the look of the vibrator before purchasing as this will not be the most earth-shattering toy out there. It’s adorable for giggles and for keeping around (especially if you want to show your friends that it “vibrates!”), but it is not the most practical either. Even if this little vibrating duckie isn’t the most practical, though, I’m happy to own it, and it sits up on a shelf being “discreet”.
