When I received this set from Adam and Eve, I was quite excited. I’ve really wanted to have a great (lazy, I admit it) way to tie up my submissive when he had the urge to want to be restrained. Plus, when he’s getting annoying, what’s better than a hog-tie and a ball gag?
The Hog Tie and Cuff Set comes with five different pieces. You have two wrist cuffs, two ankles cuffs, and a the middle “hog-tie” piece. Since each of the cuffs comes with an O-Ring that has a clip attached to it to attach to the center piece, that means that you can use each set of cuffs without the middle hog tie piece. Each cuff is made out of felt and uses easy velcro attachments to secure the cuff around the wrist. Really, with as small and as large as these cuffs go, I can’t imagine a single person’s wrists that wouldn’t fit into these cuffs.
The packaging features a bare-butt girl who is on her knees with the cuffs attached to her wrists and ankles. Overall, it’s pretty nice packaging unless you’re trying to be discreet. The plastic could be used for storage as well.
The cuffs are extremely comfortable to wear. Because each cuff is made from felt, you can expect a comfortable experience wearing the cuffs. They don’t slip off of your wrists/ankles, and unless it’s extremely rough play, the cuffs won’t break either. If anything, the snaps will break long before the cuffs or any other pieces do.
The entire set seems to be extremely well made. The center O-ring for the Hogtie piece is definitely stable, and the outer rings appear to hold lots of weight on my numerous trials too. The snaps of the cuffs stay shut, so once attached, the cuffs will stay on to the hog-tie piece. It does seem like it will hold up as long as the velcro lasts, this is definitely one nicely-made bondage set.
Because of the clips and O-rings, this set is amazingly versatile. For example, you can clip the two clips to the opposite cuff and turn it just into a pair of handcuffs. You can easily turn these cuffs into standalone cuffs if you have anything to tie them to. You can also use this in the front of the body to keep the captive’s hands and feet near each other. In its traditional use, you can also put your captive on their back and pull their hands and feet into the hogtie position. Because of the snaps, these cuffs really are extremely versatile with the places you can put them. You can even use them in combination with other bondage sets you already own.
If you want to use these for the hog-tie position. I recommend you take the cuffs off of the center piece, put them on your partner first, then start by attached the ankle cuffs to the hog-tie piece before you attach the wrist cuffs to the hog-tie piece. Because the body strains when in a hog-tie position, you should never leave your partner unattended in this position and if they complain more discomfort then they were previously experiencing (or a difficulty breathing), it’s time to get them out of it. A hog-tie position can bend the spine at an awkward angle and make breathing difficult. As long as you’re careful, it’s still safe for play.
If your partner has long limbs, this set won’t put them in a proper hogtie position without some extra help. (Because of their long limbs, they’ll be just fine laying in a hogtie position and will probably have extra room. Mine can actually undo his ankle cuffs because his arms so are so long.) I recommend tieing your partner’s wrists/forearms together at a ninety degree angle with safe rope if you know how then using the wrist cuffs to attach to their arm just above the elbow. However, this position could possibly cut off blood supply more easily, so keep an eye on your partner.
To clean this set, just use a warm washcloth on the felt of the cuffs. Let the cuffs air dry completely before you put them away to keep the set in its best shape.
Overall, I was extremely pleased with this set. It works great for me and my submissive, and I love being able to be lazy and just throw him in a nice hogtie without much work. If you’re a beginner to bondage and want to put your partner in a hogtie (or if you just want an easy way to do it) this is an amazing set for the value.
