UPDATE MAY 2020: The FunFactory Kissable Powder is no longer in production. In fact, I don’t think FunFactory makes any consumables anymore. However, they’re still alive-and-kicking with tons of silicone vibrators and toys! This sensual body powder review remains as a reference.
The FunFactory Kissable Powder is an edible, sensual body powder that can be applied on the skin. This set comes with a feather applicator and the glass container full of the strawberry-flavored powder. It contains a little over 1 ounce of the powder. There are two different varieties – a gold one and a strawberry one. The powder is for external use only.
The packaging is just downright adorable! The little feather and the kissable powder jar come packaged in packaging that resembles most FunFactory toys packaging. It’s a little box that discusses details about teh powder as well as has a little window so you can see your powder sitting in the jar. The feather is actually not visible from the packaging, so if you were going to look at this in a store, you might not even know it came with a feather. The packaging itself is attractive, and it doesn’t look too sexual. It just looks romantic.
The FunFactory Kissable Powder is really exactly how it sounds. This is an edible powder that is made to be used sensually between people (or on yourself. No one’s judging!), and after you spread it on each other, you can lick or nibble the powder off of each other. The pink powder (which I have) is a strawberry flavor while the gold powder is a creamy sweet taste that doesn’t appear to have a specific “name”. The jar is a glass jar, and it holds all of the powder inside of it. The feather is stored outside of the glass jar. You could certainly store the feather inside of the glass jar, but it looks like it will get really covered in powder if you choose to store it inside of the jar.
So how does it taste? Both the boyfriend and I tasted it, and the surprising part is the fact that it doesn’t taste like too much of anything. It has a slight cotton candy/strawberry taste, but it isn’t anything that really feels like eating food. It has a slight taste, but it’s nothing that starts to feel overwhelming if you would lick this all over from your partner’s body. The best way to describe it is that it seems to really enhance your own personal skin flavor, but it doesn’t really taste like licking candy or anything like that. Along with that, it has a slight smell of cotton candy/strawberry, but it’s not overwhelming. You can smell it when you get your face really close to the skin, but it doesn’t end up making the room smell like strawberries all day.
How well does it apply? It works well! You want to put a very thin layer of the powder on your skin to ensure that it tastes tasty without overwhelming. The only downside about the application is the fact that the feather tends to be a bit wider than the glass jar of powder which means that all of the feathers will not get the powder on them. Along with that, you do have to be conscious of how much you put on the feather as you do make a slight mess outside of the container. It’s nothing you’d probably notice on most fabrics, but on our black sheets, we could see some of the slight powder on the sheets. A quick swipe of the hand got rid of the mess, though.
We were both most impressed by the fact that it doesn’t feel sticky at all. The only thing that feels even slightly sticky is the saliva after your partner licks it up. The powder itself feels pretty silky on the skin, and as long as your partner doesn’t go all-out with the licking/saliva, you can easily just run a towel over your skin, and you won’t feel sticky at all. It really has pretty much no clean-up unless you tend to use a whole lot or went a bit overboard on licking or putting it on. No clean-up is always a plus for me!
The feather is an interesting addition to this set, and I honestly didn’t even know that it had a feather from just looking at the packaging! The feather has a little plastic handle that allows you to handle the feather really nicely, and the feather is this beautiful magenta color that looks fabulous. The feather is about two inches long and it’s really puffy. It has a flat base, so you can stand up the feather on a nightstand in the middle of play to avoid getting the powder all over. The feather is really soft and sensual, and I don’t think you’ll have any issues with the feather falling out of the handle.
In case you need to know, the ingredients are: Corn starch, Glucose, Saccharin, Fragrance, Geraniol, Citronellol, D-Limonene, Linalool, CI 16035 (Red 40), and Silica. The instructions explicitly state to use only externally, keep out of reach of children, keep it dry, and to avoid eye contact.
Cleaning this item off the skin is really easy. You just use warm water and antibacterial soap to clean it just like you would clean any other item. Dependin on how much of the powder you use, it may be easier to just take a shower after you’re done using the powder. Do be very careful to avoid getting any water in the container of powder while cleaning yourself. Getting water in the container will ruin the entire remains of the item.
Overall, I like the FunFactory Kissable Body Powder. It’s not sticky, it makes it fun for the boyfriend and I to do more sensual play, it tastes yummy, it smells yummy, and it comes in beautiful packaging that makes me feel luxurious just looking at it! I really have no complains about the Kissable Powder, and I’m really impressed by it.
