The Fetish Fantasy Spread ’em Bar and Cuff Set is a collection of two spreader bars, a collar, two ankle cuffs, and two wrist cuffs. It’s sold by TabuToys, and it’s manufactured by Pipedream Products. One of the spreader bars is about two feet long while the other spreader bar is just a foot long. The cuffs are all made from neoprene and fasten with velcro. The packaging nor the “includes” list includes mention of the collar, but mine definitely has a collar included that is made of the same material of the cuffs. This set, like all Fetish Fantasy products, also comes with a free mask.

The packaging for this is actually really cute. It comes in a black canvas bag that comes with a lock and two keys as well. All of the items fit back into the bag really easily, and if you have kids or want to be discreet, the lock comes in handy. The lock feels like one of those diary lock and key sets, so don’t expect a lot of durability, but it does open and close like it’s supposed to. I love the carrying bag, though, and it zippers shut to help keep everything from this set sitting in one place for when I want to use it.

This set is intended to allow you to use restraints on both the wrists and ankles in combination with a spreader bar. The wrist one is about a foot long while the ankle spreader bar is about two feet long. Neither one is adjustable, and both are made from a very thin, light-weight metal. We’ve had no issues with sharp points or them bending either, so I think I like the light-weight aspect of it. Each spreader bar comes with a keyring hanging off the ends, and as you might have guessed, all of the cuffs include little clips that clip onto the rings. This makes the cuffs removable from the spreader bar, but then you will have little keyrings hanging off of your spreader bar. The collar is a bit difficult. There’s an O-ring that goes through the center of the larger spreader bar, and there’s a long nylon strap attached to it. At the end of the nylon strap is the clip that will attach to the clip on the nylon collar.

The cuffs are all comfortable. The ankle cuffs, wrist cuffs, and collar are all different sizes, so you won’t be able to use them interchangeably if you have larger limbs. Each one is neoprene which is water-resistent, and it secures with velcro. The velcro secures firmly and it doesn’t unattach during use. The cuffs are not scratchy at all. They aren’t plushy or smooth, but they aren’t scratchy. It’s a middle ground. They are comfortable for play, but I wouldn’t want to wear them for three days straight.

The cuffs and collar adjust really nicely. I’d say that anyone would be able to wear this set – large limbs and small limbs alike. The cuffs don’t fasten too tightly and the material doesn’t hold heat too much, so you won’t find your wrists feeling too damp after wearing the set.

One of my biggest let-downs from this set is that the spreader bars aren’t adjustable. If you are of average height or are smaller in size, you won’t find an issue with this as the “spreading” that the bars provide will be enough for you. However, with a six-foot-tall boyfriend, two feet isn’t nearly enough to actually force his legs to spread wide enough for that feeling of vunerability. It does hold them open wide, but it isn’t enough to feel vunerable. If you don’t have as long of legs as he does, you’d probably have an easier time of it. That didn’t stop us from enjoying it though. It still gives that sensation of being spread – even if not all the way, which is fun to play with.

Along with that, the wrist one is only a foot long which will not uncomfortably spread anyone’s wrists. However, it also will not keep your captive from uncuffing themselves. I wish the spreader bar had been about a foot and a half to really make it hard for the captive to uncuff themselves. The collar portion is attached directly in the middle of the wrist spreader bar, and there’s no way to remove the nylon strap for the collar short of cutting it off. The nylon strap that attaches the collar is about a foot long, so you get a bit of flexibility. It won’t allow you to move your hands around too much though.

One of the neater uses for this spread bar I found is one that isn’t pictured. You use the spreader bar for the wrists and ankles like average, but instead of using the collar, you use the nylon strap that attaches to the collar to attach it to itself. For example, with your partner lying on their back, you loop the collar nylon from the shorter spreader bar around the body of the longer spreader bar, and attach it back to the shorter bar’s own O-ring. This will make for a make-shift hog-tie that is really flexible for movement but is still restrictive enough to keep your partner from getting up. We’ve had a lot of fun with it.

The blindfold is the same blindfold that is included with all Fetish Fantasy “Free blindfold” promotions. That’s not to say that it’s a bad blindfold though. Surprisingly, this is a really good blindfold for being free. It covers the eyes really well, and while it doesn’t block out all of the sunlight, it blocks out the majority and works better than some of the more expensive blindfolds we’ve purchased. It hugs the head but not too tightly. It really is a cheap, but very easy to use and useful, blindfold.

Cleaning this set is pretty easy. The spreader bars can be wiped down easily, and since the cuffs are pretty water-resistant, there’s not much for cleaning concerns for those either. If you aren’t fluid-bonded with a partner, avoid using this near fluids as it’d be pretty hard to sterilize. For storage, I’m really loving keep this kit in the storage bag.

Overall, we really like the set. It’s not perfect, but it’s not bad for a set that includes two different spreader bars. The cuffs are comfortable and will fit a majority of people, and my major complaints are the small length of the spreader bars which, if you’re shorter, will probably work much better for you. The set is going to last awhile, and I love the packaging that it comes in. Thanks to TabuToys for sending me this BDSM gear item for my Fetish Fantasy “Spread ‘Em” Bar and Cuff set.
