The Fetish Fantasy Elite Silicone Bondage Rope is a long, 20 foot piece of rope that is made entirely of silicone and is sold by Pink Cherry Adult Toys. It comes in multiple color choices, and the ends are straight-cut ends. The rope does have some stretch to it, and it has a very small diameter (About 1/4 inch diameter which is smaller than most average fiber-ropes).

The packaging is pretty average. It’s part of the new Fetish Fantasy Elite series from Pipedream Products, so it comes in a cardboard box that has a neat animal print on the side. This box holds everything in it, and it can be used for storage if need be. For the most part, though, you’ll probably just want to recycle the box after you take everything out of it.

The Fetish Fantasy Elite Silicone Bondage Rope comes with a lot of extra accessories. It actually comes with a small, silicone mask as well as Moist water-based lubricant and the Pipedream Products Antibacterial Toy Cleaner. Both bottles are 1 ounce in size and are meant to be sample sizes. The eyemask includes adjustable clips on the headband portion, but honestly, it’s not something we’ll be using regularly. The color of the silicone (pink) allows you to see through it (you can see shadows and shapes), and the silicone is a really odd feel for a blindfold. We prefer our leather ones. However, again, it could be sterilized, and if you didn’t own a silicone blindfold before, you may want to try it. It may not fit on large heads, though, as I have a large head and it squeezes my head painfully.

The boyfriend gave me his feedback on this piece of rope from wearing it. For one, he recommends you ties things more loosely than you would with an average piece of rope. With something like hemp, if you pull tightly while tying, the rope doesn’t “stretch” much. With this silicone, if you tend to pull tightly while tying (which most rope people do, as it keeps the tie tight), the rope actually does stretch which makes the tie tighter than you intended. Even after about five minutes of wearing a wrist tie, after it was removed, my partner did have some pretty serious “rope marks” to show off, so if you like marks, this will work well for you. (It’s missing those little fiber-marks you can see with intense rope marks though.)

As for the feel, he says that it might pull on hair a bit if in a hair zone, so he recommends you watch that. It pulled slightly on some of his hair, but it wasn’t horrible. He also says that this rope is much, much more “pinchy” than regular rope. It’s like a silicone dildo – except it covers body parts. Imagine the draggy-ness of silicone pulling up against your skin, and that’s the idea of what a rope would be like. For that reason, we both agree that we don’t recommend this for beginners. If this was your first experience with rope, you might think that rope was intended to be pinchy, and it usually isn’t. However, if you want the slight bit of pinch (or, in my case, want your partner to “feel” the pinch anytime they try to squirm out of the rope), this rope works fantastically.

This doesn’t really work well as your “average” piece of rope. It just doesn’t have the same qualities that a regular piece of rope would that makes rope work well. Regular fiber-rope tends to be relatively rigid, doesn’t pull at the skin, holds knots well, and is actually some sort of fiber (cotton, hemp, etc.) This silicone rope really turns the idea of fiber-rope upside down, and I actually kindof like it.

So, the boyfriend and I did a ton of experimenting to see what would really work best for this rope – because, for your average rope use, I would not recommend this as it doesn’t hold nor feel like an “average” rope. So, it really works best for “special” uses.

One of those uses? If you’re a rope slut (that’s a good kind of compliment!) and love playing with multiple play partners – especially with bodily fluids involved. Silicone, unlike fabrics, can be easily boiled for sterilization. Along with that, if you enjoy putting rope between the legs, regular hemp rope can hurt or chafe, and there’s no way to “fix” that. A piece of silicone rope, like this one, can actually be lubricated with water-based lubricant to make things more slippery and slidey. (Which could be extremely fun if you do a rope belt with a strand running between their legs and let the “captive” attempt to grind against it)

Along with that, the best way to really “secure” this rope appears to be by using regular rope. Once you do a regular tie, use regular rope to secure the ends/loops because, if you have someone that does any bit of squirming, the rope starts to wiggle itself free. Even with three knots on top of each other, my partner, while he can not “slip” his hands out of the rope because the silicone has some good grip to it, he can wiggle his wrists around until the knots themselves give and untie themselves. Securing the ends will help eliminate that problem.

This is a 20-foot long piece of rope. That’s not large enough for most full-body ties, but it will easily retrain the wrists and ankles to each other, and it’s enough for small amounts of decorative bondage. If you want to do full-body aspects, you’ll want to have multiple pieces of rope, but then again, the rope doesn’t “tie” well to each other, so I’d just recommend leaving full-body bondage ties to regular pieces of fiber-rope.

To clean, if you want to be lazy or sterilize the rope, you can easily boil it in a pot of water. For regular cleaning, you can use soap and water. It doesn’t seem to get too many kinks in it, so you can likely wrap it up without too much problem for storage. The silicone is also not a “grippy” silicone, so it doesn’t seem to pick up too many lints and hairs, so it doesn’t require too much extra considerations. If you do want to use lubricant on it, make sure to use water-based lubricant as silicone-based could harm the rope.

Overall, I recommend the Fetish Fantasy Elite Silicone Bondage Rope as an EXTRA part of your rope kit instead of the main piece. It doesn’t have some of the main features of a regular piece of rope (like holding knots well), but instead, it has other features that make it a treat to pull out (stretches, can be lubricated, can be sterilized). Plus, it comes in really pretty colors! Thanks to Pink Cherry Sex Toys for providing this silicone rope for my Fetish Fantasy Elite Silicone Bondage Rope review.
