How high up these heels with tights will go is up to you. My partner is six feet tall, and you can see how high up the heels go – it’s about half-way up the thigh. If you’re a shorter woman like around 5’2″, you may find that these tights with boots may be too tall for you. You can roll down the lycra if you want to keep it in place, but you might find that the lycra tops may roll down or slip out of place as this isn’t how they were intended to be worn.
However, something to keep in mind is that this design of boots will limit you if you’re a plus-sized woman or man. That’s also something else worth mentioning – the lycra band at the top of the Ellie Heels Ski Platform Boots doesn’t seem to slip or slide down. That was surprising to me. My partner is a size 5 with pretty slim thighs, so I thought the lycra might almost be too big. However, the lycra was extremely snug on the legs, and it didn’t roll down at all – even after long-term wear after a couple hours. If you’re really concerned about it or just have very slender thighs, you could consider using double-sided table to keep the lycra up as best as possible.
These high heel stockings are pretty darned comfortable too. I mean, they’re definitely high heels, and they can make your toes and feet hurt, but at the same time, the majority of the shoe being made from lycra, along with the fact that it goes all the way up to the thigh, creates for a nice, supportive feel. The back of the heels don’t scratch on the skin, and because of the lycra, there’s easily enough room for the feet to move and breathe in the heels too. They still feel like heels, but there’s really nothing too pinchy or painful about wearing them. Plus, the platforms help keep the heels from feeling too much.
