The Elise 2 vibrator is a stunning luxury vibrator made by LELO. Rechargeable and available in black, pink, and purple, the Elise 2 is longer than most of the vibrators in the LELO line. Made from ABS plastic and body-safe silicone, the Elise 2 is the second generation of the Elise – and designed to have been upgraded with better features.
The packaging for the Elise 2 sex toy is similar to all LELO packaging. It comes in a nice, beautiful luxury box. The box does clearly displays pictures of the vibrator on it, and it does explain all of the features of the Elise 2. Inside the outer box, there’s a sturdy, black cardboard box. This box is wonderful for storage, and it also just looks very discreet and luxurious. Inside this box, there’s a tray with a hole directly cut out for the Elise 2 to rest. There’s a side area, and in this side area, you’ll find the instruction manual, warranty information, charger, sample-size of LELO’s water-based lubricant, and a black satin storage pouch to store the vibrator. The packaging really is wonderful, but you can keep Elise 2 and the accessories in the storage pouch if you prefer.
The design on the Elise 2 is pretty simple. It’s made of silicone and ABS plastic. The silicone portion is anything that isn’t the silver ring around the middle. Like all LELO silicone, the silicone on the Elise 2 is very, very silky smooth. Your fingers just glide across it. It requires little (or no!) lubricant, and it really just feels like nothing you’ve ever felt. There’s no drag to it at all, and it’s really just amazing. Along with that, it’s like the silicone material is just “covering” the plastic body underneath since the silicone has no plushyness to it, and the entire vibrator is very rigid. This is important to note because it also means that the vibrations will probably be stronger and better felt because of it. You also should make notice of the fact that the entire toy is very rigid, so if you intend to use it for insertion, make note of the size and make sure this is a good size for insertion for you.
As you can tell by the name, the Elise 2 is the second generation of the original Elise vibrator. What did LELO change? For both the Elise 2, the Ina 2, and the Mona 2, LELO doubled their power, made them completely waterproof, added in a new color, and lengthened the design for each vibrator. So how did those changes fair with our beautiful Elise 2?
Elise 2 is now waterproof. I’ve tried it out a couple times including just dunking it in water, and it does hold true. While it doesn’t look waterproof, the port is completely waterproof, and you can now take your luxury vibrator into the shower or bath with you if you want.
The length of the vibrator was added onto a bit as well. While I don’t know if I really agreed it needed it, it doesn’t hurt either. Just make sure that you don’t let your partner (or yourself!) thrust too far as, in certain positions, the Elise 2 is probably long enough now to bump uncomfortably against the cervix – depending on your anatomy. I found that I didn’t notice the extra length much, but it didn’t hurt my experience either.
The vibrations are really still just not doing it for me, though. The Elise 2 did bump up the vibration strength, but at the same time, the vibrations are still only slightly stronger than moderate. The issue is more that the vibrations are more buzzy and surface-type vibrations instead of being deep and rumbly. The vibrations are noticably stronger than the first generation, but if you really NEEDED that extra power, you probably still aren’t going to be satisfied by the LELO Elise 2. I wish LELO would find very strong motors somewhere because their lack of intense strength is the only thing that keeps me from recommending them above all other toys. The Elise 2 is no different. Some women may be able to orgasm from it, but all I find is that I end up numb and annoyed.
For one of the features that stayed the same, the rechargeability still works great. It just needs to be plugged in via the charging port, and the Elise 2 takes about 4 hours to fully charge. It came somewhat charged, but it’s best if you charge it to full capacity before use. It has a standby time of 90 days, so it can last quite a long time before it requires a new recharge.
Another aspect that stayed the same is the controls. The Elise 2 is still controlled by the D-pad looking thing on the shaft. The up and down will change the patterns while the left and right will intensify or decrease the vibration strength. This control system is so easy to use and master, and I always love using it. It’s one of my favorite LELO control schemes.
I like the shape of this vibrator as well – but that really didn’t change much between editions. The slight curve means that it works better for external stimulation since it curves against the body better. For insertion, with the dual motors, you really do end up with one motor near the entrance of your vaginal canal with the other motor at the tip, and it works out well that way. The motors really work as one, but the different patterns allow one end to turn on, alternate, or use them both together. It’s a different way to feel your vibrations since I think this might be the only LELO toy with two motors in it. (I think?) For insertion, this is fantastic, but for external use, I don’t notice too much of a difference when using the patterns with the two motors.
To clean this vibrator, you’ll want to use warm water and antibacterial soap. As it’s waterproof, you don’t have to be too careful when cleaning it. For storage, I do recommend you keep it in the original box or storage pouch to keep it away from harm, but the silicone really doesn’t pick up any hair or lint, either. Due to the silicone material, the Elise 2 is only compatible with water-based lubricant as well.
Overall, the Elise 2 is still an okay vibrator. Most of the features are well-done, and the rechargeability, the shape, and the controls are perfect. Really! But in order for me to fully recommend it everyone, it really needs that boost in power. As it stands, I do recommend it for anyone who really doesn’t need intense power. If you’re okay with moderate power, the Elise 2 could be for you, but don’t expect it to be a powerhouse! Thanks to LELO for sending out this luxury vibrator for my Elise 2 vibrator review.
