Climax Clean is an antibacterial sex toy cleaner made by Topco Sales. The active ingredient is Tricolosan, and this bottle contains 8.5 fluid ounces of cleaner. The cleaner is dispensed with a spray bottle nozzle at the top, and it comes in different scents including “Fresh Linen”.
Climax Clean comes in a pretty cute bottle. This bottle is plastic and see-through, but because of that, it actually can be a bit hard to see the “Climax Clean” label (unless there is a white surface behind the cleaner), so it may make it even more discreet for you.
The Climax Clean uses a spray nozzle attached to the top of the bottle to dispense the cleaner, and the bottle comes with a pull tab that can be reattached, if you keep track of it, in order to keep the spray bottle from spraying accidentally when you don’t want it to. This is a small piece, though, and I think most people will end up losing it pretty quickly.
To use Climax Clean, you are supposed to apply and squirt the Climax Clean all over the toy’s surfaces. If the toy is electrical or powered by batteries, make sure to take those out or unplug it first. You then are supposed to apply generously, wait 30 seconds, then wipe it off. Then you need to rinse off your sex toy, and let the sex toy dry naturally.
The scent for this sex toy cleaner is “Fresh Linen”. It actually ends up smelling a bit like laundry detergent. Which, while it’s a semi-nice scent, it does confuse me a bit to have my sex toys smelling like my laundry. They do end up smelling fresh though – although I’ve wished that Topco had picked a different scent than Fresh Linen.
When it comes to cleaning your sex toys, as I don’t have a laboratory at my disposal, I can’t 100% tell you how many germs or how much bacteria this cleans up. I can tell you that I think that it is probably more useful than choosing to use no sex toy cleaner at all, and for us, this will be used for surface cleaning of toys that aren’t used too hardcore.
For example, if a riding crop is used for teasing the breasts, it really doesn’t require a full, hard-core scrub-down, and for instances like that, we’ve been using the Climax Clean as it’s much easier to just wipe it down than have to really get out the fully cleaner and scrub it down.
I’m not sure how I feel about it, yet, as a full sex toy cleaner. I trust it enough to clean up the surface bacteria from gentle usage, but for sex toys that are inserted or receive direct bodily fluids, we’ve been using this toy cleaner in addition to regular soap and water. That way, the toy gets extra assurance that it’s fully cleaned and ready to be used. We haven’t used the Climax Clean on its own yet for internal toys just because I’m still pretty used to the old soap-and-water route, and I tend to trust it more.
Overall, the Climax Toy Cleaner does a great job of cleaning up those surface areas of a toy you’ve had some light fun with. It’s much easier to use than having to scrub down a toy, and for toys that don’t really require a huge amount of cleaning afterward, the Climax Toy Cleaner can accomplish cleaning it up pretty well. Thanks to Topco Sales for sending out this antibacterial sex toy cleaner for my Climax Clean antibacterial sex toy cleaner review.
