Buzzlet Vibrator Review

Showing the packaging of the Buzzlet. It’s really cute.

UPDATE JULY 2021: The Buzzlet rechargeable waterproof vibrator has been discontinued. This review remains for anyone who’s looking for more info about this vibe. If a powerful, rechargeable, waterproof finger-length vibrator is what you’re into, I’d recommend the We-Vibe Tango X instead. While you’re here, don’t forget to check out my BDSM advice and femdom advice.

The Buzzlet Rechargeable Waterproof Vibrator is a new vibrator made by Miuzu and sold by Good Vibes Sex Toys. It’s a rechargeable toy intended for clitoral stimulation. Due to the small size, it wouldn’t work well for vaginal use. This toy is considered a luxury toy and is part of GoodVibes’ Ecorotic program which basically is a collection of toys that intended to be better for the environment. It comes in a variety of colors including black/white, frost/white, pink/white, and violet/white. GoodVibes lists this as ABS Plastic and silicone, but I don’t feel any silicone on this toy. As far as I can tell, the Buzzlet is made of two different types of plastic. In size, this vibrator is like a super-sized bullet at four inches in length and about an inch in width.

The packaging for this vibrator is nice and classy – which is exactly what I’d be expecting from an expensive toy. There is a cardboard slipcover which is a pain in the butt to pull off of the box, but it does keep the box from opening up. I tossed the slipcover shortly after opening because it really was a pain. The box itself is a box with a lift-off top. The Buzzlet sits in a plastic tray on top, and the charger, instructions, and charging cord sit in a plastic tray in the bottom. The instructions are pretty basic. In fact, they’re so basic that they’re just pictures. They’re amusing pictures actually, but it definitely gets the point across.

The packaging on the outside

I asked the boyfriend how much he thought the toy cost. He guessed it on the first try. He said that packaging is always a huge indicator of how much a toy costs. This one is true in this case. I’m not sure if it’s worth the full price tag, but Miuzi definitely packaged the toy like it should be.

I’m a bit unsure as to the material of this one. It really does feel fully like plastic, but GoodVibes lists a silicone piece. I really can’t find it. The blue side of the vibrator feels like nice, shiny, slick plastic while the white side feels more like the “velvet cote” type of plastic that provides a bit more grip to it. Along with this, the bullet itself does not have any sort of holes which does make it waterproof. The button doesn’t have any holes around it either.

There is the giant hole through the top of the bullet, but that doesn’t go into the toy – it’s just a hole. I spent forever trying to figure out what the hole was for. After all, the hole was too small to actually fit my finger through it. My best guess is that you are supposed to hold the holes with the sides of your fingers, but when held like that, it’s near-impossible to change the vibration speeds, so I have no idea what the hole is for aside from holding it on the charger. Maybe the hole is the way the vibrator charges. It does present some issues with cleaning since it can be hard to get a cleaning brush through that hole, so if you think it’s a problem, a tooth brush is about the perfect size to fit.

I like the charging system with this toy. There’s a white base that, like some Jimmy Jane toys, allows the toy to just sit in the base in order to charge. The base can be unplugged from the power cord which was a HUGE plus. I hate having cords all over if I don’t want it charged. So the base will actually function as a show-off stand for the toy as well since it just looks clean and attractive. It’s extremely easy to put the toy on the stand.

The charging system works really easily. You just have to plug in the charger into the wall and set the Buzzlet into the charging port. The plug-in is a two-prong cord. According to the instructions, the first charge should take ten hours.

Using the toy is pretty easy. The hole in the top of the sex toy made it pretty easy to keep ahold of the toy even when it was lubricated. My biggest complaint about the Buzzlet is easily the button to change vibrations. It is, in no way, easy to press. It definitely takes some strength to push down the button, and that can be really frustrating when I want to switch vibrations during use. It requires stopping playing, taking hold of the vibrator with my extra hand for stability, and then changing the vibration levels. Even though the button is flush with the toy, for some reason, it’s really difficult to press down. Also, there’s really no feeling of “pushing down”, so it becomes more difficult because I’m not sure if I’ve pushed it right or not.

However, the button does have a backlight LED blue light which will light up anytime the vibrator button is pressed. Instead of turning on on the first press, you do have to hold the button down for two seconds to turn the vibrator on or off. Once one, you just have to press the button once to cycle through the 8 different modes that the Buzzlet boasts. There are three steady settings with low, medium, and high and five other pattern cycles. The vibration levels are actually really quiet. They could be heard in the same room, but it isn’t distracting at all. There’s no way it could be heard outside a closed door.

The vibrations are, surprisingly, pretty rumbly. I wouldn’t call them amazingly strong, but they are definitely nice and rumbly which is a change from the regular buzzy vibrations of toys this small in size. They should work just fine for most women to orgasm, and I honestly had no problem with the strength of the vibrations at all.

To clean this one, since it’s waterproof, you just have to use some warm water and antibacterial soap. Because this is made from plastic, you can use water-based or silicone-based lubricant with it. I highly recommend storing this vibrator in the original packaging or just keeping it on the charging base when not in use.

I like the Buzzlet, but I will admit that it’s a bit expensive for what it is. It’s a high-quality toy though that charges really easily and provides deep, strong vibrations during use. The button is a bit frustrating to deal with, but aside from that issue, the Buzzlet is a pretty nice sex toy.
