The Pink Paw Cuffs don’t come in any particular packaging. The shipment from Butt Plug Expert was entirely discreet with no obvious markings on the box. There’s no special packaging or instructions for the Pink Paw Cuffs themselves. Just pull them out of the box, and you’re good to go!
When you purchase the Pink Paw Cuffs from Butt Plug Expert, you’re going to end up with quite a few individual pieces. You’ll have two wrist cuffs, two bondage mitts, four keys, two locks, and two clips connected to one another by a small chain. As it’s more of a “modular” design, you can choose whichever pieces you’re into – and abandon the ones you’re not.
As the product page is virtually devoid of measurements, here’s what I can give you:
-Bondage mitts are 11″ in length. Wrist tightness is variable by the corset fastener. These will fit most average-sized feminine hands with absolutely no issue but might be a tighter (but doable) fit for large-sized male hands.
-Wrist cuffs are 10″ in length when laid flat.
-Included two-clip chain is technically 6″ in length with a 2″ chain connecting the two clips.
The Pink Paw Cuffs require a bit of a learning curve to get them on. The two individual pink mitts are entirely separate from the wrap-around pink wrist cuffs. The included sets of locks and keys are additional items in the set. It’s most important to note that the pink wrist cuffs are entirely separate from the pink bondage mitts. There’s no particular way to “attach” the two to one another, so if you have the funds to buy multiple sets to mix and match colors or prefer using your own bondage wrist cuffs, that’s entirely within the realm of possibility.
So how does this full set work together? First, you slide the pink mitt onto the hand. Once the mitt is onto the hand, there is a corset-type fastener on the side of the mitt. This corset type, while pretty, isn’t particularly functional. I’m definitely on the “plus-sized woman” side of sizing, and even at the tightest setting I can corset it to, I can still slide my hand out with just a little bit of effort. It gets harder to do when both hands are bound up in the Pink Paw Cuffs, but it isn’t impossible. I’d consider the side corsets on the basic mitts to be more aesthetic than functional.
The next step is where the bondage comes in though. Once the mitt is on the hand and tightened to a comfortable point, you wrap the material of the cuff around the wrist. As I’m plus-sized, as mentioned above, the wrist cuff only fastens on the loosest setting for me. (It fastens on tighter settings for my partners). The wrist cuffs are a bit stiff when you first receive them, but with a bit of wear, they wrap much more smoothly as the material breaks in. Once the cuff is on the wrist, holding the bondage mitt to the wrist, you can slip on any lock and “lock” the bondage mitts onto the wearer. It becomes a whole lot harder – though still not entirely impossible, to slide off the mitts once the wrist restraints are on and both mitts are fully on.
If you’re looking for “near-escapable”, you’ll want to take this last step. With the wrist cuffs securely tightened at the wrist and over the bondage mitt, wrap the excess of the bondage mitt’s material (towards the forearm) around the base of the cuffs and tighten the bondage mitt material the rest of the way. This helps secure the material along the base of the cuff – and makes it much, much harder to just “pull off”. At this point, someone would need to spend a decent chunk of their time and energy just to even begin to pull the bondage mitts off of themselves. This is definitely a step you should take if you’re planning on attaching any bondage to the tips of the bondage mitts.
So, now your captive is wearing these bondage mitts. What options do you have from there? Well, you have a couple of bondage points on the mitts themselves. Assuming you’ve used a mini lock on the wrist cuffs, there will be quite a bit of space left on the D-ring of the wrist cuffs for further bondage. You may consider binding the two wrists together or binding them to external points. In addition, the tips of the bondage mitts are equipped with D-rings. These D-rings are sewn into a loop of fabric at the tip. They seem securely sewn, but judging by the softness and lightness of the fabric, I wouldn’t use these D-rings for any sort of rough bondage – you’ll likely pull the bondage mitt off of her partner’s wrists or you’ll break D-ring off the mitt itself. I’d keep the tip-of-the-mitt D-rings just for lighter bondage with minimal struggling.
The soft and silkiness is the first thing that anyone bound in these remarks on. These mitts are *soft*. I own about five pairs of bondage mitts at this point – with every other pair being 3 to 4 times more expensive than these. These are, however, by far, the softest and silkiest of all of them. They feel like your hands are encased in clouds. They feel amazing on the skin of the fingers – absolutely amazing. Of course, that soft silkiness is what contributes to the issue of being able to slide out of the bondage mitts, as mentioned above, but it’s a trade-off. How do you want the bondage mitts to feel versus how likely you think your bottom is going to wiggle out of them just because they want to?
It’s worth noting that these Pink Paw Cuffs are not particularly padded. Well, they aren’t padded at all. There’s two layers of thin fabric, and that’s about it. The Pink Paw Cuffs aren’t tight enough to require the wearer to make a fist to wear them, though, so if you plan on crawling around on the floor, you can have a flat hand with no issue. Otherwise, the lack of padding would be a serious issue. Instead, assume that these pink bondage mitts will keep you from using your fingers – not the hand itself. It feels like a sexier, thinner version of an oven mitt, really. It’s difficult (but doable) to pick up a bottle of water to drink, but beyond a “crab-like” motion, you don’t get much while wearing these pink bondage gloves.
The Pink Paw Cuffs come with two locks and four keys. These keys remind me of the cheapo, easily-breakable versions of locks and keys that I used to use to lock my journal when I was ten. For that reason, I’d highly recommend replacing this lock and key sets right away. High-quality Masterlock locks are available at your local big-box store for under $10, and it’s worth the peace of mind to know that your partner isn’t going to get accidentally locked into these. Regular, full-sized locks will work fine with the locking area of the Pink Paw Cuffs, but the small, mini-sized locks look a lot more proportionate.
As the Pink Paw Cuffs are made from a faux leather, you’ll want to be careful about cleaning them. Avoid getting them soaked in water or using harsh soaps. Instead, a gentle wipe down with a slightly damp washcloth is probably the most you’ll want to do. As you’ll likely be doing some crawling around with these, try put some elbow grease into cleaning these bondage mitts every time you use them. Otherwise, you might find the pink discolored from floor dirt/muck over a couple of uses. Because of the light color and the direct contact with semi-dirty surfaces, you’re going to want to clean these BDSM bondage mitts more often than you’d worry about cleaning your other bondage items. If you want to worry less about cleaning these bondage mitts, I recommend the Black version.
Overall, the Pink Paw Cuffs are going to be the absolute best choice for some people. If your scene includes a compliant bottom who won’t try to escape and you don’t plan on using the bondage mitts for any stressful bondage positions, you’ll probably love the Pink Paw Cuffs from Butt Plug Expert. They’re super soft, very affordable, and come with everything you need to start playing with the cuffs right away.
