I have a serious shoe fetish. I do. You know what else? I have a serious hatred for actually wearing the shoes. They almost always hurt my feet, and my feet never look quite as sexy as I feel like they should. It’s one of the main reasons that I like to put my crossdressing boyfriend into heels. He wears them, he enjoys wearing them, and I get to stare at pretty shoes all day. I think it’s really win-win.
That’s why I was extremely excited when this sex toy store sent me the Black Sequin Knee High Boots for review. These books are tall boots that are 22 inches high with a 5 inch heel. At the widest point of the calf (which is the top of the calf), the boot has a circumference of 18 inches.
On the boyfriend, who is about six feet tall, wears a size 12/13 women’s shoe, and is about 150 pounds, these boots in a size 13 worked amazingly for us. They go up to slightly beneath his knee, and while the calves are a bit loose on him, they do fit him really nicely. His feet fit into the size 13 shoe really nicely, and if you aren’t used to high heels, I highly recommend ordering a size up as these shoes press your little toesies into the toe of the shoe.
I was surprised by the material though. I mean, wow! These boots are loud. It’s in a sexy, fun way, but they are definitely noticable. (I don’t mean “loud” as in sound, but “loud” as in appearance and the look-at-me quality) The boots, while it can be a bit hard to tell from the product pictures, are made from black sequins, so they definitely sparkle and shine when worn. This is mostly because these boots are lingerie boots. They really aren’t meant to be worn out of the house, but they would probably fit in at a kink club or a regular dance club environment. For grocery shopping? Not so much. However, this goes amazingly well with corsets and other lingerie as it just matches the sexiness of the clothing that you’re wearing.
It’s easy to get into these boots and wear them. They can be a bit of a pain to zip back up, but the boots do zip back up when there’s no leg in them. There’s a zipper along the inner side of each boot that goes all the way down the boot and allows you to easily fit your feet and calves into the boots. The zipper takes a bit of patience, but we’ve had no problems with it being too frustrating. The boyfriend has average-width feet (for a male), and these boots fit him fine, unless you require wide-width shoes, your feet should fit into these fine. (I require wide-width shoes, and my feet don’t fit into these boots well.)
My biggest complaint is that the boots do have a smell to them. We easily got rid of the smell by wiping down the boots with a slightly damp washcloth. The smell smells a bit like some sort of plasticizer, and it’s definitely not a yummy smell, so I think it’s best you plan some time to wipe it down before you want to wear these shoes out on the town.
Are the shoes comfortable? The boyfriend says they’re about as comfortable as other 5″ inch heel shoes he’s worn. He does mention that, because they’re boots, your feet do get sweatier than with regular shoes, but it isn’t too much of an issue. He does mention that his toes can get a little squished towards the top of the shoe because of the pointed toe, but again, that’s normal for a pointed-toe shoe. He could easily walk around these boots for a day while he was product testing them, so he says that, while it’s slightly painful, it’s easy to walk in them.
What do I think? Are they sexy or what?! I really, really like the look of these shoes, but you probably couldn’t wear them around for day-to-day things. For special occasions and lingerie, though, the heels are just downright sexy, and the boots are comfortable enough to get into and to wear. They work well for both crossdressers as well as women just wanting a new pair of lingerie shoes.
