The shimmer of this gorgeous g-spot glass dildo probably caught your eye – just like it did mine! Let’s go through my Biird Kalii review to help you decide if this beautiful piece of erotic art is a good fit for you!
Made from borosilicate glass (sturdy, like that used in glass cookware!), the Biird Kalii is 7″ in total length with a diameter of 1.18″ at the “tip” end. The dildo shrinks down to around 1″ in diameter at the slenderest part of the dildo, and if you choose to insert the “handle” (which you very well could. The Kalii is double-sided!), you end up with a diameter that’s closer to 1.5″. This level of glass weighs about 1 pound, so it’s noticeable, but it isn’t as heavy as larger glass dildos.
(The Kalii is handcrafted though, so there may be small variations in sizes. The one I received for my Biird Kalii review almost perfectly aligns with the stated measurements.)
The g-spot tip and its surrounding glass does not have any texture or rippling to it. It’s hard to see at first glance, but the thick, handle end has six “wave-like” ripples along it. I’d guess these were put in to help make the dildo easier to grip, but there’s nothing stopping you from using it as an insertable texture. (Those ripples are gentle enough that you may not feel much from “using” them as texture, though.)
At the time of publication, it may also be helpful to know that Biird is partnered with OneTreePlanted. For every order placed via Biird, a tree is planted with the organization through a donation from Biird.
The Biird Kalii also comes with a 1 year manufacturer’s warranty from Biird. They also have a 5 year manufacturer’s “guarantee”, where, similar to LELO, they will provide a 50% discount off the purchase of another item if you have an issue within the 5 year period. This warranty and guarantee is over “workmanship defects”, so dropping your dildo onto the floor and chipping it will likely not count. (So keep a firm hold on that Kalii!)
Let’s Talk Design
You probably picked out the Biird Kalii because of its beautiful shimmer, and it wouldn’t blame you. It’s what first caught my eye, too!
It has an iridescent quality that gives the Kalii a unique look from every new angle. Sometimes it looks like a deep ocean blue, and other times it has the bright blue of a sunny sky on a perfect summer’s day. Sometimes it even looks somewhat gold. It’s absolutely impossible to capture all of the unique shimmer of this multi-dimensional color, so I’ve tried to include a few GIFs here that’ll give you an idea of it.
Needless to say, it’s an absolute joy to look at – especially if you have the freedom to store your sex toys out in direct sunlight. It bounces off the dildo’s surface in the most beautiful of ways, and it almost begs you to use it anytime it’s in a sunbeam.
I was surprised to find out that the thick, “handle” end has a texture. It’s probably because the Kalii is a beautiful kaleidoscope of colors, but it can be hard to actually “see” that texturing on photos of the toy. Because of that, I’m stealing one of the illustrations that Biird shows of the dildo; these lines can help you see where those “waved” textures are on the dildo.
You can definitely feel it with your fingers, and it does help with keeping a firm grip on the dildo while using it. The ribbing isn’t so deep that you’ll have a harder time cleaning this area, though. They’re gentle, shallow waves that give you a bit of friction without adding difficulty in cleaning.
Those same shallow waves can become part of an insertable texture if you want to try sliding the “handle” of the dildo inside of your body instead. There’s nothing sharp or problematic stopping you. If you love the idea of a straight, thicker glass option to use, you can always flip the Kalii around and go to town with the handle.
Biird Kalii Review: Is It Good for G-Spot Pleasure?
The Kalii offers a deep g-spot curve. So….does it work?
For me? Hell yes. I absolutely love the curve of the Kalii. Some “g-spot” toys have a shallow, barely-there curve to them, and while I’m sure that might work for some people, it does absolutely nothing for my g-spot. My g-spot is fussy, located deep, and requires a pronounced curve to get into the right spot.
The Biird Kalii snuggles right up to it.
Once there, the deep curve of the dildo really encourages the type of stimulation I like. I always default to rocking motions as soon as I slide in g-spot dildos, but I was surprised by how quickly my partner took to it too.
The Biird Kalii also has one big advantage over my current top g-spot toy, the Bent Graduate. (I think it may unseat it.) The Kalii has a non-uniform texture at the base AND has the “b.” logo printed onto the dildo.
For solo use, the textures at the base make for easier handling. It’s still glass, and it isn’t a fix for slippery hands. If your hands have lube or slickness on them, you’ll probably find it a bit hard to grip the dildo for any type of deep, rough thrusting. If you’ve wiped the lube off your hands, though, this textured base really helps for keeping the dildo exactly where you want it in your fingers.
And for solo use, I really couldn’t care less about the logo. It’s cute when I’m looking at the dildo on the table, but when it’s slid inside, the logo is not even on my radar.
It really excels, though, when a partner is using this dildo on me. I LOVE how easily glass dildos slide inside the body and move around. They slip and slide everywhere in the best of ways. When I’m using the dildo on myself, I can auto-correct the angles based on how things feel.
But when a partner takes up the reigns, they have to rely entirely on what’s going on with the handle of the dildo. They don’t have telepathy to figure out how my vagina feels. A lot of glass dildos have uniform handles with no discernable markings on them. So when they look down and see the same view of the dildo, protruding from my vagina, no matter which way the dildo is facing, it can be frustrating (because it often means the g-spot curve ends up pointing slightly off the g-spot, and they don’t know.)
The Biird Kalii solves that with the logo on the base AND the texture of the handle. The ripples on the underside of the dildo are much deeper than the ripples on the top of the handle. There are no ripples on the sides of the dildo. Partnered with the logo at the base, my partner has tactile and visual feedback about which way the g-spot curve is facing – and that’s HUGE.
Compared to my other g-spot glass toys (which, again, are my favorites!), the Kalii stays at my g-spot in partnered play. It doesn’t slowly slide to a side. The sensations are strong, powerful, and continuous, and I can focus better on the pleasure instead of trying to verbally instruct as to whether the dildo has gone to the right or to the left.
It’s the perfect width and size for me, but at a diameter of about 1.2″ on the g-spot end, you may not find it particularly “filling” if you’re someone who really loves thick, stretching sensations. I appreciate its slenderness and ability to slide in without a huge warm-up, but I know that’s not for everyone.
Biird Kalii Review: Glass is Amazing
If you’ve ever asked me about my favorite dildos, you’d quickly realize that most of them are glass. I love my silicone babies for a few things, but glass has always been my favorite material. That’s because glass, and the Biird Kalii, offer some amazing benefits. They:
- Slide easily. I don’t like covering myself in lubricant. I always recommend it for more comfortable sex, but the cool thing about glass dildos is that they just may not need it. The slickness of the glass material slips and slides against everything – including your natural lubrication. For vaginal play, I usually find I don’t need any lube to play with a glass dildo, and I really prefer it that way.
- Offer temperature play opportunities. Glass can be warmed and cooled. Once it’s warmed or cooled, the dildo will retain the temperature for a short while, giving you the ability to play with new sensations. If you want that for kinky purposes (like a chilly “punishment” dildo) or just enjoy temperature play, glass or stainless steel dildos are probably for you.
- Are gorgeous. There’s something ridiculously pretty about glass. Not only can it be used to make some really cool shapes, but the glass material itself can be stunning. The Biird Kalii is one of the first dildos I’ve seen with such a strong attention to gorgeous glass since the old Dichroic dildos I collected when I first got into sex toys.
- Are waterproof. As one solid piece of material, there’s nowhere for water to “leak” into. Fully waterproof, you can wash your Kalii directly under running water and thoroughly clean the dildo with zero concerns about where the water goes. It’s really easy to clean glass! I simply recommend keeping a firm grip on it or cleaning it while resting it on the base of your sink; they can get slippery to hold onto!
- Can be used with all types of lube. If you’re really into silicone-based lubes or oil-based lubes, the Biird Kalii can be your BFF. Glass dildos are compatible with all types of lube. This can make them especially helpful for people who may use silicone lubes for dryness concerns.

They do, however, have a few downsides. Most notably, all glass dildos, including this one, can be hard to grip when they get slickened with lube or water. Try to keep a towel nearby to wipe off your dildo or hands for easier thrusting during play.
You also want to be careful with handling and storage of your glass dildo. While they aren’t as fragile as most of the glass trinkets you have in your home, they’re certainly more fragile than a silicone dildo – which you could throw against the wall with minimal consequences. As long as you don’t drop your glass dildo onto hard floor, though, you’ll likely find it stays in one happy, eternal piece.
(I’ve owned glass dildos for the last 15 years, and I have yet to break a single one. Including when I dropped my Bent Graduate on the tile from waist height last year.)
I Absolutely Love This Storage Case
I miss everything about high-quality toy storage, but Biird has brought it back. Nowadays, most manufacturers just include a cheap drawstring storage pouch that keeps the lint off but does nothing to protect the toy itself.
Biird went well above-and-beyond the standard. I am in love with the included storage case. Absolutely in love.
For one, it’s beautiful. The blue faux leather looks high-end, and the rounded edges give it a “luxury beauty products” vibe that virtually no other sex toy storage offers. I really can’t think of another storage option that has rounded edges. Almost everything goes with squared edges.
For another, it’s very functional. The case is a firm case that holds its shape, protecting other items from squishing it down and hurting your new glass sex toy. The zipper makes it easy to open and close the case to get your dildo out in a jiffy.
There’s even an elastic loop inside of the case! This loop snuggles around your Kalii, keeping it from moving around inside the storage case. That means the case keeps pressure off it, puts padding all around it, and stops it from moving around in case you accidentally drop the case.
It’s hands-down, the best included sex toy storage I’ve seen provided by default with the toy within the past 5 years. I have very little worry about my Kalii while it’s wrapped inside of its case.
Final Thoughts: Biird Kalii Review
Biird Kalii Review
Summary
The Biird Kalii reminds me of the “olden days” of glass sex toys. When they were first new in the industry, they were beautifully handcrafted and usually packaged with the safe, secure storage method you’d need to keep them beautiful for years. Now that glass toys have become mass-produced, some of that is really missing in the industry.
The Biird Kalii is a return to that “boutique” glass sex toy experience – but without the hundreds of dollars it used to cost. It’s absolutely stunning to look at. The shimmer of colors puts every single-color glass dildo to shame. The included zippered case is structured, padded, and even includes elastic bands to keep the Kalii safe.
Best of all, the g-spot curvature actually works with a diameter that’s going to be comfortable for most people to insert – potentially even without any extra lube. It has a nice, broad head that snuggles up to the g-spot and a great curved design that really encourages a rocking motion while holding it. Absolutely A+ g-spot pleasure from the Biird Kalii.
And that’s the Kalii in a nutshell. It’s absolutely gorgeous, feels luxuriously packaged, has the storage you need to keep it safe, and provides amazing g-spot orgasms – all at a surprisingly low price point. If you need extra-filling penetration, it might not be the dildo for you (most glass ones won’t, honestly), but if you’re after slick, targeted g-spot pleasure, it’s hard to go wrong with the Kalii.
Thanks for reading my Biird Kalii review!
