The Bendover Beginner Strap-On Harness kit is a beginner strap-on kit that includes everything you need to take your first forray into strap-on sex. Including a nylon strap-on harness, the Tantus Silk Small, and the Tantus Silk Medium, these three pieces will give you all of the items you need to try strap-on sex for the first time. This kit also includes other-sized O-rings as well as a vibrating bullet. Both dildos are made from silicone while the harness is a jock-style type harness that’s made from nylon and velvet. The Tantus Silk Small is four and a half inches in length with a diameter of 3/4 inches (which is definitely suitable to a beginner. The Tantus Silk Medium is six inches long with a diameter of an inch and a 1/4. The harness goes up to 60″ hips, so it’s very adjustable to allow for a larger body or smaller body.
The packaging that the Bendover Beginner Strap-On Harness Kit comes in is actually pretty impressive. It’s well-designed, and it clearly displays the products through the window in the front of the box. It comes in a large, plastic box which may not be too suitable for storage since the box is much, much larger than the harness and dildos would require for storage. Plus, if you compare this kit to packaging to other strap-on kit packaging, you’ll be amazed by how classy and well-done this packaging is.
As this kit is made up of three parts, I’ll give you my opinion of each one individually. As a set, though, they work fantastically – especially for beginners. The dildos are just the right size to give you a “jumping board” to pleasures with strap-on sex, and the harness, while not high-quality, is going to be comfortable enough to allow for penetration without much of an issue. And between the three of them, you get a pretty good price cut on what you’d be paying if you bought all three separately. If your recipient has never done any sort of anal experience, I’d say to go with this beginner kit. However, if your recipient has had anal experience, I’d say that going with the Bendover Intermediate Strap-On Harness kit might be a better choice since it has larger dildos.
For a price comparison as to how much you save by going with the kit: You can buy the Tantus Silk Medium currently for $44, and the small for $36. And while I can’t get any exact on the harness (since Tantus is a dildo company, it makes sense that they wouldn’t sell a strap-on harness by itself, but instead, the harness is also sold with dildos), similar strap-on harnesses range from $55 to $75. So we’ll assume a mid-point of $65. Which is a total of $145 for all three items in this kit – and that’s not including the vibrating bullet or the extra O-rings. However, the kit itself only costs $108, so you definitely save some money by buying it all as a set.
The harness isn’t the highest quality harness you can get. At the same time, though, it works just fine as a harness. When it comes to the savings that you get compared to purchasing each item separately, it’s definitely worth having the harness. As far as harnesses go, it’s in the moderate range. It’s not a luxury harness, but it’s also not crap – not at all. It works surprisingly well, and the nylon straps tighten and loosen exactly how they’re supposed to. Along with that, the panel on the front is pretty soft on the skin, and it doesn’t cut uncomfortably into the body. With the multiple adjustment points (both back straps as well as both hip straps), the Tantus harness is designed to be able to fit well over various body types including those with larger hips or a larger butt. Again, the hip strap was designed to be able to go up to 60 inches in size.
The Tantus harness also has a pouch towards the top of the harness that holds a bullet in it. This pouch hugs against the body when the harness is fastened properly, and it will fit any standard-sized bullet (including some of the We-Vibe bullets which are known for their power). Depending on how high you wear the harness, the bullet may be correctly in place. However, I did find that I had to wear the harness lower than it seemed designed for in order for the bullet vibrator to be in about the right spot. However, the material of the harness isn’t too thick, and once it’s in place (plus with the pressure of a dildo pressing back onto the harness), the vibrations can be felt through the harness. With this standard included bullet, the vibrations may not be powerful enough for orgasm, but if you find a stronger bullet to put in, you possibly could orgasm from the vibrations.
So while I don’t think it’s the best harness you COULD get, I think it’s still a good harness, and it works well. It might ride a little higher than most people want for their harness to go, but it does still work, and it’s pretty comfortable on the body. Yes, you can get better harnesses, but if you don’t plan on using a strap-on too often, this harness will be very-much suitable for the rest of your strap-on play as well. Plus, if you find you really like it and want to delve more into strap-on play, this is still a good stepping stone into more.
The smaller dildo is known as the Tantus Silk Small. The Tantus Silk Small is definitely a suitable anal dildo if you’ve never done anything anal before. In fact, the first time you use it, you might find yourself already wanting a larger dildo. The Tantus Silk Small is only about the width of a finger, so it’s definitely very, very slim in size, and most anal beginners can usually go larger than a single finger their first time. So be aware that this dildo is honestly about the size of a finger (though slightly longer), so it’s not going to feel very substancial for intercourse. Which may be exactly what you’re after.
The Tantus Silk Small isn’t a very “long” dildo, though. It has the small width, but it also has small length as well. This means it can be slightly problematic for use in the strap-on harness. If the wearer of the harness has any sort of stomach, it means that you run out of useable length pretty quickly in most positions. This can be problematic if you’re a first-time harness wearer because it may get frustrating very quickly to find that you can’t do some of the positions you had in mind. I must admit that I do wish the Tantus Silk Small dildo was longer; it would make things much easier. However, with the length of the Tantus Silk Small dildo, you’ll be sure that it’s an okay choice for beginners, and it’s easily one of those dildos that you can hand-hold to help your anal-receiver get used to anal pleasure.
The larger of the two dildos is known as the Tantus Silk Medium. This dildo is larger in size than Tantus Silk Small, and it also is larger in diameter. While the Tantus Silk Small is about the size of a single finger, the Tantus Silk Medium is about the size of putting three fingers together. When it comes to strap-on use, I prefer the Tantus Silk Medium versus the Tantus Silk Small. This is mostly because the Medium has a bit more length to it, and it helps make insertion easier compared to the smaller length of the Tantus Silk Small. However, it’s still not too huge, and I still always find myself wishing that it had an extra inch or two to the length of it.
The size works out pretty well, though. As long as the person is comfortable with taking two or three fingers, the Tantus Silk Medium should probably be an okay size for them. For most people, taking two of three fingers will be something they can do relatively soon after breaking their “anal virginity”, so again, this size is a good choice. At the same time, the size of this medium should be “filling” enough for most anal beginners, so it will provide a good sensation (whereas the Tantus Silk Small is much smaller in size and may not provide any “fullness”).
Both of the dildos are pretty flexible, so that’s definitely something to keep in mind. In fact, if I had to take fault with anything, I’d take fault with how flexible both dildos are. For someone who’s new to strap-on penetration, having something so flexible can make it more difficult than it needs to be to insert your dildo into another person. With a human penis, you can “feel” where things are at, but with something that’s just attached to you, you kinda have to go by feel. However, to make things go better, I recommend you hold the tip of the dildo in place to make sure it goes in well before going hands-free for the rest of the thrusting. On the bright side, though, the flexibility means that it’s going to be a bit more comfortable for the receiver, and you don’t have to be nearly as careful about thrusting too roughly since the dildo will most-likely fold long before it pokes somewhere uncomfortably.
Along with this, both dildos are made out of the same material. They are made out of that body-safe silicone that Tantus creates. Both include a wide-enough flared base that the dildos will comfortably fit in any strap-on harness. Both’s silicone is pretty “draggy”, and it’s not really a smooth type of silicone that your hands will glide over. For that reason, I recommend you use quite a bit of extra lubricant to make sure that penetration goes comfortably – and make sure to check in regularly to make sure there’s enough lubricant if you’re using this anally as the draggy material could get uncomfortable pretty quickly once the lubricant dries up.
Cleaning depends on which part you’re cleaning. If you’re going to be cleaning the harness, you can really just wipe it down with a damp washcloth and some soap, and that’s about all you’re going to be able to do with it. For that reason, once you’ve used the strap-on harness with a person, you should probably consider that harness “fluid bonded” and not use it with anyone else. As for the dildos, these are made of non-porous silicone, so they can be sterilized. You just need to boil them in hot water in order to sterilize them (or you can use a water/bleach solution). For regular cleaning, though, you can use warm water and antibacterial soap. I’m fond of covering these dildos in condoms before insertion as it makes clean-up easier and it allows me to avoid the “draggy” feeling that these silicone dildos have.
Overall, the Bendover Beginner Strap-On Harness Kit is absolutely great for beginners who have never tried strap-on sex before. The two differently-sized dildos are small enough to work well if you’ve never had anal sex, but they’re also large enough to feel somewhat filling (the larger of the two). The harness isn’t the highest quality out there, but it also is very adjustable, and it definitely works out to hold the dildos really nicely. And it’s comfortable. So between the three pieces, you can easily start your experience with strap-on sex as well as have versatile sex toys that you can play with in a non strap-on setting as well.
