The BCurious Vibrator is also rechargable. It won’t require any sort of batteries to use which is really nice. There’s a little silicone cellphone-like door on the side that allows you to pick open the toy to charge the clitoral vibrator. The charger plugs into the wall and then you can plug it into the vibrator. The vibrator does come charged. While charging, the vibrator’s light will blink, and when it’s completed its charging, it will become a solid blue. From what I’ve found, charging it for the full two hours will provide about two hours worth of play which is about what I’d expected.
The vibrations for this work decently as well. It provides a great variety of vibrations, but the biggest problem that I found was that the vibrations are a little soft. It’s really about the strength of the average bullet vibrator which means that I end up feeling like it is really lacking in power. To turn it on, you just press the “Power” button. From there, the LED light will light up and you can use the vibration button to switch between the vibration settings. The vibration settings are pretty basic: low, medium, and high, a setting that slowly goes from low to high, a slow pulsation, a fast pulsation, and a patterned pulsation. However, the “high” setting really feels like a low medium compared to most traditional vibrators. It may have something to do with the rechargable factor or maybe something else, but unless you have a really sensitive body, this may not be able to help you reach orgasm.
One of its redeeming factors is that it’s just downright quiet. Really. It’s hard to hear it even when I’m using it right on myself on high. It’s impossible to hear across the room – just downright impossible. This means that it can be used with other people in the house – honestly, probably even in the same room if you wanted to. Because of the small size, you also could throw it in the storage bag and it could easily hide somewhere where no one would find it.
When it comes to being waterproof, we tried it out underwater, and it still works great. It’s splashproof and waterproof as well, so this can be used underwater in the bathtub. Honestly, it makes the vibrations even weaker, so I’d recommend trying to keep most of your use to outside of the water.
It works great. Seriously. In design, it was made perfectly. The curves of the BCurious hug me perfectly and provide really great, spread-out vibrations that feels pleasurable. It’s extremely easy to handle, and although it can get a little slippery if you aren’t careful with the lubricant, the silicone on the sides really make it much easier to handle. I put two of my fingers along the silicone strip on the side and two fingers on the top to steady it, and the BCurious fit perfectly. Because it was made from the firm material, it actually served really nicely to apply pressure during use as well which is what I prefer in a clitoral vibrator. The vibrator curves slightly as you go down the body of it, so it really ends up covering a good amount of area while still providing great clitoral stimulation. Really, aside from the lack of strength of it, I’m just really in love.
Cleaning this is pretty easy. I recommend using warm water and antibacterial soap to clean it. Because it’s waterproof, you don’t have to be too careful with where you place the water. The BCurious also really doesn’t have many nooks or crannies on it either, so it’s pretty easy to clean it without problem. I’d make sure that you wash the rest of the soap off though. This can’t be boiled because it has electronic pieces in it. It also isn’t compatible with silicone lubricant because of the silicone lining it has on it. This means that you have to use water-based lubricant with this sex toy. For storage, I am choosing to keep it in the original box but it would easily work just to keep it in the storage bag.
