Blush Magic Massager Review

Blush Magic Massager
Showing the heads of the wand massager

The Blush Magic Massager is a regular, plastic wand massager that comes with three different attachments for different sensations. The wand massager can be purchased at FunWares, and it takes 4 AA batteries to operate.

The packaging for the Blush Wand Massager is very pretty, but I can’t say that it’s very useful. The packaging is pretty basic with a pink/black design. The wand massager and the attachments come in a pull-out tray that can be pulled out from the outer cardboard lining. The tray itself holds the massager and two attachments separately. The packaging doesn’t tell much about the product. There’s a section on cleaning and the warranty information, but it doesn’t include anything about the features or product material of this massager.

The Blush Magic Massager, before I even turned it on, may have been the most awesome toy in the world, but I was biased against it. The batteries are just downright problematic. Even if this vibrator was going to be the awesomest toy ever, I just don’t think I would ever want to pull it out of the bottom of my drawer due to this battery problem.

In order to get the battery out, you have to do a twist and pull of the battery compartment – which is extremely hard to do. I couldn’t do it at all, and the boyfriend had to put some serious effort into it to accomplish it. Once you do that, the four AA batteries that the vibrator takes line out in a large line in a tray. However, if you put too much pressure on the tray while trying to insert it back in (which you have to do to make it go in correctly), one of the batteries will pop out and the rest will follow. Once you finally get it in, you have to retry placing the cap onto the Blush Massager multiple times because it’s just as hard to get back on as it was to get off. Overall, it took us a half an hour just to get the batteries into the vibrator – before we even got any use out of it. I’m glad we decided to try it out early because if this had been right before playing together, I would have been even more frustrated.

Once you can get the batteries in, though, this massager works alright. It does vibrate pretty darn loudly, though, so this could probably be heard outside a closed door and definitely in the same room. The vibrations can be controlled pretty simply through the front of the massager, and the vibrations are pretty strong. They are very buzzy, though. If the buzziness of the strong vibrations doesn’t bother you, this could definitely be an amazing massager for you though. The head of the massager tilts nicely which makes it easy to apply vibrations directly onto the area where you want the vibrations. The vibrations also don’t get any softer when the head is turned.

The vibrations are controlled through two buttons on the front-side of the massager. This is actually slightly annoying because the buttons are hard to push down. One button is the “On” button which turns the massager on and also will cycle through the different speeds while the other button will automatically turn the vibrator off. The buttons are pretty difficult to push, and you have to be flat-finger on the button and push down with pressure to use the button. This isn’t a big deal to do when you aren’t using it, but I had a hard time flipping vibration patterns while attempting to use it.

The three different heads are interesting. One of the heads is the plain, no-attachment head that comes directly on top of the Blush Magic Massager while the other two heads have different patterns. One of the heads has a weird, bead-like probe on it that’s very flexible. It doesn’t appear to be long enough for insertion, so we tried it for clitoral stimulation. The probe vibrates back and forth really nicely with the vibration, so it actually works really well for those that like lighter touches on their vibrators (like rabbit ears). The other head is a slanted, ridged head that basically will give you a different texture on the head. I honestly can’t say that we got too much pleasure out of this one, but if you like using textured items externally, this one will work nicely for you. You do have to clean it carefully though.

The heads are slightly difficult to switch, but it isn’t too bad. it comes with one of the heads on, and you have to dig your fingernails underneath the head and pull up on both sides of the head. Think of it like a really, really tight condom that you need to pull free; they aren’t snap-on attachments, but they’re more like a material that grips onto the head. Once you do that, you can slip the other attachments on. This can take a bit of time to do, so you might want to do this before you start playing.

I’m a bit confused about the pattern structure. There are 12 different patterns included with this vibrator. There are two different red LED lights on the front panel of the Blush Magic Wand Massager to show each one of the patterns, and when you press the “On” button, it’ll move to the next pattern. The weird thing is how these are situated. There is only one steady vibration pattern – which is usually my staple of choice. That steady vibration pattern appears to be number #12 on the vibrator, and it also is full-blast. So you either play with the patterns for lower settings, or if you want to go straight to the full, steady vibration, you have to click through the “On” button 12 different times. It doesn’t remember your last setting either, so if you accidentally turn it off, you have to go back through all 12.

Cleaning is easier than most wand massagers. You can just use a warm washcloth and antibacterial soap before and after each use. As it comes with no instructions, I’m not really sure about the features of the product. The description says that the three product attachments are waterproof, but nothing on the box talks anything about being waterproof. The battery compartment is also twisty in a difficult way which makes me think it’s waterproof, but again, I have no idea and didn’t test it. I think the head is made of silicone, but I’m, again, not sure because there’s no information on the packaging. I used water-based lubricant just to be safe. The material doesn’t pick up lint, though, so you can store this massager however you would like.

Overall, I don’t think this vibrator and I will ever get along, unfortunately. The vibrations are strong enough for orgasm, but the other features just get too much in the way. It’s rare that I have to write a really negative review, but when it comes to the battery compartment, the control system, the vibration loudness, and the buzziness of the vibrations, I’d sincerely have a hard time recommending this vibrator to anyone. If the attachment looks like they might be up your alley, though, this vibrator might be worth checking out. Thanks to FunWares for sending me this massage tool for my Blush Magic Massager review.
