“Male Chastity: A Guide for Keyholders” Book Review

Male Chastity: A Guide for Keyholders
Front cover
“Male Chastity: A Guide for Keyholders” is a short book written by Lucy Fairbourne. The book is 93 pages long and divided into four sections. It takes a little over an hour to read. The book is very small in size, and it can easily be hidden as well. It also doesn’t look scary, so this is a good book to give to someone who you’d like to understand Male Chastity better. This book is completely focused on the idea of female-led relationships where she holds the key over him. For those of you that aren’t familiar, male chastity is the practice of securing the male genitals in a device to doesn’t allow orgasm. As is the way of bondage, this device is usually locked, and the person to hold the key to this device is usually called the “keyholder”. This book is focused upon submissive males with female keyholders. The book does a nice job of staying in the balance between extreme kink and vanilla couples. The book doesn’t go too far into kinky things, but instead, it stays nicely focused on male chastity in case male chastity is the only thing that you’re interested in. It does assume that this relationship will be a female-led relationship, but at times, it does backtrack and say things like “If you only want to do this to be playful, do this…” and things like that to avoid assuming you have a kinky relationship.

This book is definitely a short read though. The book does not go into much detail about the different types of chastity devices, and I was a bit disappointed in that. For example, it doesn’t really talk about whether to go with a plastic or a silicone cage, and it doesn’t really talk about some of the better chastity-belt type devices to go with either. It talks about the differences between the two, but it doesn’t mention specific brands nor does it really go in-depth as to each type. It does, however, discuss, in length, the methods of locking the devices and it talks about why you’d use a plastic lock instead of a regular one and which type of lock to go with. The book does do a good job of explaining why anyone would want to be in chastity though. This book is basically written from the point-of-view where the guy is interested in chastity and thus, gives his partner this book. This is probably the likely scenario in most cases, so it works for this book. The book talks about why a guy would be interested and what you, as the keyholder, will get out of the arrangement.

Another big aspect that I’m impressed with is the safety that the book includes. It talks a lot about how to do chastity safely including when he should be unlocked such as during sports and rough things. It also talks about hygienic concerns as well as if there is any problem with denying orgasm long-term or keeping the penis from getting erect long-term. The author does a great job on covering safety. The book covers a wide variety of topics. It covers the why of why anyone would do male chastity as well as what types of devices exist and how to live day-to-day in chastity. It then goes on to talk about erotic play with chastity including the best ways to hold the key and the ejaculation control. It ends talking about different types of men in chastity as well as how to convince him to go back into chastity after he’s ejaculated. The book also has a lot of appendexs included online resources, how to measure for a device, and further reading. Overall, while I do feel like it’s lacking in a couple places (like more discussion of devices), I feel ilke it, overall, did a great job of covering male chastity since it’s one of the only books that does. It doesn’t cover everything, but if you are a female wanting to know why your husband would want male chastity or wanting to figure out how to do male chastity, this book has you covered. I purchased it off Amazon for my Male Chastity: A Guide for Keyholders review. It comes in print and Kindle format, and you can read the first chapter for free.
