The Butterfly Dichroic Wrapped G-Spot is a high-quality glass toy made by Phallix. The dildo is about seven inches long, and the widest point (the head), is an inch and a half in diameter. The majority of the shaft is about an inch and a quarter in diameter though. The pictures on the EdenFantasys website are accurate to the color and design of this dildo.
The packaging is a bit disappointing. It comes in a large, plastic bubble-type packaging that includes a little storage bag. The storage bag, surprisingly, is not padded. It’s a nice storage bag, but if you want to keep your dildo safe, I highly recommend purchasing a padded storage bag. I recommend the Pleasure Pouch that EdenFantasys sells. The packaging is really large for the size of the dildo, and it also comes with a little booklet about other Phallix products. I threw away the packaging after I finished the video review as it’s really large for storage of the product.
This glass dildo has some of the most intricate glass work that I’ve ever seen in one of my sex toys. The physical design of the dildo is great, but the details is what makes this dildo really shine. The physical aspect of this dildo is neat. The dildo has a slight curve and dip that makes it more g-spot friendly. It doesn’t hone in on my g-spot, but it does gently rub up against it really nicely. If you have a shallow g-spot that works well with most dildos, this one will hit your g-spot as well. I, sadly, don’t seem to get extreme g-spot stimulation unless it’s from the Bent Graduate or other extremely-curved toys like that. This one does gently touch on it though, so it’s pleasurable in that manner.
Along with the curve, the base of this glass dildo is completely flat. If you want to store this dildo upright, the dildo will sit upright with no problem. This makes it perfect if you wanted to purchase something like this to display as well as use. Along with the flat base, the entire dildo is completely smooth aside from a couple points. For one, the dichroic design around the shaft sticks out about 1/8 of an inch from the shaft. This little spiral can definitely be felt during use, and it actually adds an interesting dynamic to your dildo. It isn’t too intense either. It’s right in the middle since it’s really easy to feel, and it feels pleasurable, but it doesn’t really effect your usage of the dildo. If you normally like to thrust roughly, the spiral along the shaft won’t make it too intense. Along with that, opposite the side that curves inward, the head of the dildo has two streaks on it that are just two indents towards the tip of the dildo. I couldn’t feel these indents during use, so it didn’t bother me much, but it adds an interesting shape to the dildo that gives the head a unique, “not your average dildo head” aspect.
So what about the details? The details are what make this dildo absolutely and gorgeously unique. So what are the fine details? See the swirl that wraps around the shaft of this dildo? Throughout that entire swirl, there are little butterflies etched into the swirl. You can’t feel the butterflies at all with your fingers; it’s inside the dildo. The entire dichroic spiral is outlined with a slight blue coloring as well. Really, though, you have to see the butterflies (in my pictures)! They are just downright gorgeous, and you can tell that it took a lot of time and effort to make those butterflies appear as detailed and as nicely spaced as they did. It’s truly a piece of art.
The dildo does feel great during insertion. The head of the dildo is definitely a bit large, so this is not a sex toy you can just start off with; however, it doesn’t take a huge amount of warm-up either. As long as you’re pretty turned on, the dildo shouldn’t cause too much of a problem for insertion with most people. Because of the swirl on the shaft and the head, though, I would recommend using a bit of external lubrication along with your dildo just to smooth the entry a bit. The base, while not huge, is large enough to make this toy pretty anal safe (the base is slightly smaller than the large head, so be a bit careful, but it doesn’t seem like it will cause a problem. This dildo is too large for us to test comfortably anally because of the diameter and length.), and the base also works as a great handle for using the dildo. While glass is slick, I didn’t have too much of a problem with the dildo slipping during use because the base is pretty easy to hold onto.
Of course, this dildo shares all the regular properties with glass as well. This dildo is extremely well made, and it’s made from Pyrex as well, so if it is dropped, it will not shatter. Instead, it breaks into large chunks. Glass also works well for temperature play, so you can dunk this dildo in slightly warm water or slightly cool water, and it will take on the temperature of your water for play which is nice. Along with that, because glass is so slick, it doesn’t take much lubricant in order to insert it. Some people may not need any extra lubricant, but because of the pattern of the dildo, I would recommend it.
For cleaning, you just need to use warm water and anti-bacterial soap. The dildo is extremely easy to clean. It also, if you’re careful, can be sterilized by using bleach too which makes it safe for multiple-person use. This dildo is compatible with all types of lubricant. Since glass is more fragile than most materials, please make sure to keep it in a very safe place, and don’t drop it. It’s best to keep this dildo in a padded storage bag, or I know of some people who keep theirs in multiple layers of socks.
Overall, with this dildo, you aren’t just purchasing a glass sex toy, but you’re also purchasing a work of art. The detail that was put into this design is absolutely amazing. The dildo itself is great for pleasure, and if you make sure to take care of this toy, this beautiful dildo is going to last you a lifetime.
