The Tantus Silk in Small is a little dildo that we’ve been looking for for ages sold by this sex toy store. See, we were using the dildo out of this Beginners Waterproof Harness and Dildo Set, but the boyfriend said he wanted to find a silicone alternative since he doesn’t like the smell of rubber. We wanted something of the same size and about the same shape since he enjoys using this dildo quite a bit since he doesn’t have to work up to it. Thus, the receiving of the Tantus Small Silk was born.
The Tantus Silk in Small is a very small dildo. This thing is perfect for any anal beginner – it’s diameter is about 3/4 of an inch, it has a length of about four and a half inches, and it has a strong base that makes it perfect for harness use. Ours is a cute, light purple, and it’s made completely from silicone – not hollow on the inside. The Tantus logo is printed on the base, and the dildo itself curves slightly. The bottom of the base is completely flat and does not include a curve to work as a suction cup.
The dildo comes in regular Tantus packaging which is just a plastic box that includes a small, plastic tray in which the dildo sits happily until you are ready to use it. The box will work well for storage, and we tend to keep ours in there when we’re not using it. The box is pretty normal and just is see-through to allow you to see the dildo inside of the box – no half-naked women on this one.
The dildo is perfect for vaginal or anal stimulation. Since we bought this for my boyfriend’s anal use, I’ll focus on that during our use. The dildo itself has quite a bit of give to it. Yes, it’s made of pure silicone, but because of the small diameter, the dildo doesn’t provide much in terms of firm material. If any pressure it placed on it, the dildo will bend. This means that, for p-spot or g-spot use, it may not provide the nice, strong pressure you are looking for. Because of the soft material, the Small Silk can also be a little difficult to insert anally because it will tend to fold in half before it will want to go in. It isn’t that big of a hassle, but it’s something to be aware of so you don’t get frustrated.
Once inside, the boyfriend absolutely loves the sensation. He says that, while it isn’t filling, it’s the perfect size to be comfortable and enjoyable. He finds that a large toy ends up being uncomfortable for thrusting which is the sensation that he loves most. This dildo ends up being small enough to be perfect for covering it in lubricant and using it to get a thrusting sensation. He normally places this in our thigh harness or another harness so he can use it for hand’s free use, and the base works perfectly for that. I really have no complaints about the base – as long as the harness is attached correctly, the base will support the dildo’s weight.
Now that the boyfriend is really comfortable with this dildo, the neat thing is that there is a Medium and a Large as well. If you love the properties of this one (like we do), we can just purchase the next biggest one if he is ready to take more. We’re looking into getting a Medium now that he’s in love with this one, so he can feel a bit more filled than this one. This one is great for a beginner, but he says that he thinks that he can use something slightly bigger now.
Cleaning is really easy. This one can just be washed with warm water and antibacterial soap, or, if you want to sterilize it, it can be boiled. Since this is made of silicone, only water-based lubricants should be used with it. We choose to store it in the original packaging, but this one isn’t too lint-magnet-y, so you should be able to store this mostly anywhere without any negative consequences.
This is my boyfriend’s favorite dildo by far. If he’s going to do anal play, he goes for this first. If you are still an anal beginner or just don’t want to use large-girth toys, this is a great way to go. It’s small, easy to insert, and works great for thrusting. We absolutely love it. This silicone dildo can be picked up at Tantus. I hope you enjoyed reading my Tantus Silk review.
